SO3 EP01: The Man In The Hat

Join us as we explore an iconic and historic building located in southern Oregon filled with rich history, spooky tales and a very, very large basement. Witness describe parts of the building as "a step back in time" which once housed a furniture/hardware store, a pharmacy, medical staff and a five n dime. Shop keepers have witnessed shadows, strange appearances and writings on the walls, objects moving, lights turning on and off and unexplained feelings of never being alone.

A very special thank you to Alicia for loving ghost stories as much as we do and for sharing your time with us--let's do it again! Also, to the maintenance man (left unnamed) who was more excited to talk about the heating and air than anything spooky!

Ghosted? Our first EVP!

We are so excited to share this recording with y'all--our first EVP (we think)! What or who do you think it sounds like? We have listened to this many times, played it for others and most have the same opinion--it's a child's voice and we think it's creepy! We apologize for the annoying alien beeping coming from Kim's recording on this episode.

SO2 EP12: The Death of Diane Hank and the Fong Murder Trial

We are back with a new episode as we discuss the mysterious disappearance of babysitter, 15-year-old Diane Hank, in 1954 from Portland, Oregon. Suspicion quickly fell on the family she often worked for, a biracial couple supposedly active in the sale of narcotics--Sherry and Wayne Fong. After the discovery of her body, years of trials proceeded with no real resolution just more questions. Was Diane's death an accident, intentional, a cover planned because she knew too much? Listen to all the theories in this collaborative episode with Elyse and Winston from True Crime Cat Lawyer.

SO2 EP9: Bridesmaid's Dress and Baby's Breath: Missing Marty Benthins Evans

It was just a few days before Valentine’s' Day on February 10th, 1990 and Martha "Marty" Evans, the mother of two was a bridesmaid in her best friend’'s wedding in Knappa, Oregon. She was still wearing baby's-breath and the special black dress with burgundy lace accents that her mother and sister Joyce Van Osdol had made for the wedding. Her signature jacket and black leather purse had been left behind the night Evans went out after the reception and she and the truck she was driving has never been seen again. What really happened the night Evans disappeared is the topic of this weeks episode as Christine and Kim explore the many questions, possibilities and theories according to the family and news reports.

Here are some of mysterious events leading up to Marty's disappearance:

• Several phone calls to a boyfriend who told Evans not to come over that night;

• A phone call to an ex-husband and a pending custody case;

• An alleged confession on a man’s death bed her murder;

• A recent friendship with a drug dealer and a bust the same night;

After over 30 years--wherever Marty is, her family wants answers for closure for her children and for her community.
