On July 1 2002, two planes collided in mid-air over Southern Germany.  Who was to blame?  One man was convinced - with deadly consequences.

On November 20, 1980 one miscalculation inadvertently changed a lake in Louisiana forever.  This brief video explains what happens, and why.

On July 25, 2000 Air France Concorde Flight 4590 struck runway debris during takeoff, and crashed into a nearby hotel just two minutes later.

On the afternoon of May 25, 1979, American Airlines Flight 191 crashed shortly after takeoff from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.  A money saving but potentially deadly maintenance procedure caused the left engine to detach during takeoff, sending 273 people to their deaths.

On March 27, 1977 two Boeing 747 Passenger Jets collided on a foggy runway on the island of Tenerife.  The collision claimed the lives of 583 passengers and crew.
