It is with a heavy heart and tears that I write this as we say “farewell,” to a dearly beloved friend. I had met TB in a moment of crisis and her compassion in that moment formed a deep friendship. Together we would talk for hours on the phone during our commutes; when one of us was lonely; or the other needed a rock to which to cling. But even after all of this time she and I spent together, what can I say? I’ve had enough time to write a book about the way she acts and looks, but I haven’t got a paragraph when it comes to saying “goodbye,” for how does one fit in the magnificence of TB into a few short paragraphs? I cannot. There is far too much in her story and the makeup of the heart and mind of TB. She was many things but above all she was a friend, a person, a mother, and a patriot.Lucky for those of us who are as sentimental as TB, we have this clip of her gentle but mighty voice so that when we miss her, we may hear the iconic voice that has been a cornerstone of our niche of the internet since its inception. Although soft of voice and tiny of body, she had the voice of an angel and the heart of a fearless lioness. TB was truly a person. A caring and compassionate person that was a true friend to many. That gentle voice of hers could reach into the darkest depths and pull a soul out of the deepest void. She had done that for many and this is why she has left an army of mourners. She was far more than a screen name but a true person and who she was to our community is who she truly was in reality. If one had the pleasure to sit across from her with a cup of coffee and have a conversation, she’d be no different on reality than on a digital platform because she was a true person.With endless praise, TB spoke of her daughter and two sons, as well as her dog Dame, because she was a mama. A day couldn’t pass where she didn’t celebrate the three warriors she brought into this world; raised them in it; guided them through it; and saw the seeds she had planted grow into beautiful fruition. Above all else, she loved her children and she wasn’t afraid to let anyone know who these three mighty children are or her endless love for them. But her love didn’t stop at just her own children, for TB loved all of the children of the world. Insomuch that she left a high-paying job and began her career anew out of principle. So strong was her conviction on her love for children that she stood against those that did not have children’s best interest at heart. It was “a hill she was willing to die on,” because she was a mama to not just three, and a lovely dog, but to all because she believed.Being a fighter to her core, she also stood with us in battle-after-battle in the fight for our nation because she was a patriot. She loved the United States of America and believed in its principles, its ideas, and seeing the US in its state, she took up the fight with us, her loved ones and friends. She did this because she was a person, our person, and a mother to many, and a true patriot.This is just a small glimpse into the beautiful heart and mind that is TB. As I said, I could write a book about the way she acts and looks, and still I do not have a paragraph. I could also write a symphony for her and only finish half because I’d lose the melody. Or, write for her a speech about her love that touched each of us, but stumbling I would probably make her gentle voice giggle. I could never finish these things because her story will go on through those that loved her because she is a person, a mama, and a patriot. Farewell for now, TB. We shall miss you until we see you again and we can listen to that small and gentle, yet, powerful and mighty voice.

We are at a point in American history where presidential elections could be decided by the influence of Time Magazine’s Person of the Year Taylor Swift. Some try to say men are women and women are men. Others are unable to define a woman and America’s CDC runs a promotional campaign to bring awareness to their belief that trans lesbians are lesbians too.

This, somehow, has become our world.  Individual freedom and liberty have been replaced by groupthink, virtue signaling, and tribalism. What will be the cost? We have already seen mediocre male athletes only identifying as female to compete in and win national championships. The Biden administration has proposed changes to Title 9 that could further damage equal protection for women.

When the Republicans narrowly won the majority in the House of Representatives in November 2022 many believed that accountability and retribution were on the way. Ten months into the GOP-controlled House and they have delivered extremely limited results.  Raising the debt ceiling to $3 trillion is the only tangible accomplishment of the 118th Congress. New House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stepped into the mess that Kevin McCarthy’s leadership created. When Johnson started the job, he only had two weeks to solve the government shutdown. He showed some creativity in passing two continuing resolutions that get America into the new year without defaulting on its obligations.

Kevin McCarthy had promised to release the 40,000 hours of the January 6 video, but never did it. Last week Mike Johnson delivered on McCarthy’s promise by releasing the video. Johnson has continued all the congressional hearings that the GOP had been working on this year. The impeachment inquiry and the weaponization of government on its people will continue to be investigated.

Mike Johnson is only a few weeks into an excessively big job, and I am already seeing and hearing some conservatives mumbling about Johnson’s ineffectiveness.

That makes me wonder and ask questions, are expectations for the House of Representatives way too high?

Shouldn’t we understand there can only be limited results with split political parties controlling the federal government?

Daily reports of impending financial doom for the American economy over the last 2 years have convinced most of us that a recession is imminent.  Most economists believe 2024 will be a down year and an American recession is almost here.

Last week, it was reported that past-due property loans at Wells Fargo rose more than 50% in the third quarter of 2023.  They reported more than $3.4 billion is past-due accounts compared to $400 million the previous year.  Also, Americans hold the most debt on personal items ever, at $17 trillion.  Real income has been shrinking just as American’s savings accounts.

Whether the technical term and definition of a recession is ever achieved we still have lived through the highest inflation in forty years, the highest gas prices in American history and now mortgage rates closing in on 8%.  Bidenomics is destroying middle and class lower-middle-class Americans.  It is taking its toll on fixed-income homes.

Over the last year this ‘OurLives & Politics’ has dealt with the Human crisis at the border quite a bit.  We have talked about the death to Americans from fentanyl overdoses, over 140,000 since Joe Biden took office.  About 2,000 migrants have died just trying to get across the southern border. Over 300,000 unaccompanied children have entered our nation and somehow the government has lost track of 85,000 of those kids.

And yes there have been hundreds of terrorists apprehended at the southern border.  In just the last couple of weeks, foreign nationals on the terrorist watch list have been caught from Iran and Lebanon.   And as we see Islamic Jihadists rise up all around Israel to destroy that nation, we see supporters of these Jihadists on American college campuses, in the streets, and around the world.

Senate hearings this week revealed the truth about the Biden Administration's top immigration officials when they were unable to answer the simplest questions. How many immigrants are in our country? How many has our government deported? Where are all of these people?  It is either incredible incompetence or a willing effort to destroy America.

Regardless of why, F.B.I. Director Christopher Wray testified that Americans should be vigilant because the F.B.I. does not know where and who these foreign nationals are either.   On this episode of ‘Our Lives & Politics’ we hear the testimony of beleaguered Department of Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas and others as they deflect Senators pointed direct questions.

Plus, we get the pulse of the people as enter a LIVE X (Twitter) Space. People from across the nation share their feelings, thoughts, and emotions about the human crisis at America’s southern border.

In 2016 Hillary Clinton claimed the Russians rigged the election for Donald Trump, even though the Russian collusion hoax was started by Hillary Clinton. In 2018 Stacy Abrams in Georgia believed the race for governor was stolen from her. To this day, she still thinks she is the rightful governor of the state.

Of course, we all know about the 2020 election and now we see Donald Trump fighting in court for the right to question the election of 2020.  The result of every election being questioned and portrayed as stolen may create voter apathy. Why vote if your vote will not matter? Many may feel that now.

As the world seems unhinged and the news cycle spins with such rapid speed it becomes hard to discern what is important, what is true, who to trust and who to ignore. Some may call it a psychological war with disinformation and misinformation.

As Robert Kennedy, Jr. entered the presidential race as a third party Independent candidate many are curious whether that hurts the Democrat or the Republican presidential nominee in the ’24 election.  Typically, third party candidates hover around 2% of the popular vote in presidential elections. Exceptions are rare.

Ross Perot in 1992 was the last to run for the highest office that made much of an impact.  An Independent or Libertarian party member always has an uphill battle.  Ralph Nader, Gary Johnson or Jill Stein can attest to that.  After years of failing federal government maybe some more attention should be showed to new ideas and fresh solutions.

Over fifty years ago the Libertarian party was born. Their motivation was smaller federal government and more individual freedom and liberty.  The founders of the Libertarian party wanted the country to get back to the basics of the constitution and a Republic of United States.

When the two parties currently in control continue to make terrible decisions, both foreign and domestic, many are looking for common sense solutions that work for all people not just a few.  On this episode of ‘Our Lives & Politics’ Libertarian presidential candidate Mike ter Maat joins the conversation to discuss some of those solutions.

A lot can happen in a week, can’t it? We went from the sky is falling government shutdown, to a historic removal of the Speaker of the House.  And that was all in just five days.

Now politicians on the right and the left have created the next. sky is falling moment in national politics. There is no Speaker of the House. It appears, in almost a coordinated effort that Matt Gaetz and 7 other Republicans are being blamed for all of it.  That’s an interesting take, but one that I believe removes responsibility from an institution that has damaged itself all by years of out-of-control spending and no government accountability.

The problems in the U.S. House of Representatives did not start with Matt Gaetz and the 7 who voted with him to remove Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.  The U.S. House of Representatives' failures have been years in the making.

Booker Scott brings some highlights of the past week and there were many.  We hear highlights from the government shutdown to the motion to vacate and an interesting press conference that may have revealed the Democrat and Republican ’24 election strategy.

A three-month investigation by Newsweek and a revealing article about the FBI targeting Donald Trump supporters during the ’24 presidential campaign has many people concerned.  How does the Democrat ’24 strategy work in coordination with what this Newsweek article reveals about targeting these supporters?

The Republicans in the House of Representatives have begun to connect the dots of the Biden Crime Family as their impeachment inquiry started this week.  Prior to the first hearing new information came from the House Ways and Means and House Judiciary Committee.

A $250,000 wire transfer from a Chinese businessman and associate of Hunter Biden was sent to a Biden bank account.  The beneficiary of that wire had the same address as President Joe Biden's.  As the Republicans start presenting the evidence of what they call claimed high crimes and misdemeanors the Democrats, as suspected, are making the inquiry about Donald Trump.

A very important hearing took place this week and you probably didn’t hear about it but you will on this episode.  Republicans question OSHA over their vaccine mandates.  OSHA refused to admit there were any mandates and even though the Supreme Court ruled against OSHA the agency continued to work around the court's decision.

If our government was wearing a life alert, now would be a good time to push the button for help. Are any of the three branches of the federal government working at all for the people? 

And, yes that’s rhetorical, you know the answer. While the federal government continues to get larger, the problems created by the bureaucracy, lifetime politicians, and radical judges whittle away our individual freedom and liberty.

A current example of the failed institutions within our government is on full display this week as the Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and the Republicans grapple with a government shutdown, again.  Every year, the federal budget should be passed by the end of September. 

It never happens.  Instead, massive omnibus spending bills are forced on the American people with large deficit spending adding trillions to the $33 trillion national debt.

As the deadline looms for a solution the Republicans look to a Continuing Resolution to continue the Nancy Pelosi spending from the last Congress. Against the deadline, Kevin McCarthy decided to only have a three-and-a-half-day work week for Congress after just coming off a 4-week break.

During those three and a half days there were some interesting hearings to attempt to reveal some truth and hold Attorney General Merrick Garland accountable.  On this episode of Our Lives & Politics we break down some of the Republican’s infighting and hear the testimony of Merrick Garland.

You may be left scratching your head when you spend a few minutes watching or listening to political news. I’m constantly left perplexed at the politicians we continue to elect over and over. We say we’ll just vote for them, but we are always left with the same choices when that time comes. The result is the same government.

Achieving this will require building and moving.  It requires action.  Not a political fight but a greater responsibility of self-governing authority.  The Federalist Papers address these things and there we can read how Americans must be a constitutional people. 

In 1963 the Conservative Affirmation was written by Willmoore Kendall.  He was a political scientist and a professor.  The book was released again in 2022. At the time of its original release, there were contrast and comparisons made with a progressive ideaology  book written by Charles Frankel called The Democratic Prospect.

It’s interesting that in the Conservative Affirmation by Kendall he suggests that an authoritative statement of conservatism in the U.S. can be obtained by going back to the intention of the founders written in the Federalist papers.  There, it was written, equal treatment of persons before the law with the formation of public policy through deliberations of virtuous agents rather than numerical majorities.  Kendall favored Congressional majority as it is more sober and closer to the people.

Kendall noticed that Liberals favored Presidential majority to weaken Congress and the power of the people.  I’m bringing this up to point out a few things.  First, this liberal/conservative argument has been alive and well since the inception of this country.  60 years ago, it was still alive and well.  Today?  It may feel this is all new, but we’ve been here before.  We’ve been here since the beginning 247 years ago. So, the question becomes are the Republican Party, the 118th Congress, and Speaker Kevin McCarthy stopping or slowing down liberalism, or are they helping advance it?  On this episode of Our Lives and Politics, Booker Scott measures the pulse of the people in a live Twitter/X Space to get a grade on the first 8 months of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives and Kevin McCarthy.  What do you think?  Have they passed or failed?

This country’s institutions, from the 3 letter agencies to public schools and now from corporations to universities across the land, have been hijacked.  Politicians go to Washington DC never to return home; they are permitted to trade stocks on insider information and grow generational wealth for their families while rarely creating solutions for American families. Watching the F.B.I Director Christopher Wray testify conjures images in my head of Ray Charles, Sergeant Shultz from Hogan's Heros and the three monkeys all rolled into one.  It is obvious Wray sees nothing and in his best Klink impression he repeatedly told us, “I know nothing.” Maybe it is a prerequisite to be the Director to be like the three monkeys, eyes, ears, and mouth covered.

Multiple independent sources have corroborated, and everyone should know the federal government and its agencies worked with big tech and social media to censor and silence Americans. As important as the first amendment is to each of us, we should have a level of expectation that our rights would be protected by our federal law enforcement.  It should be their number one job.

 With every Congressional hearing in Washington D.C., more evidence is revealed to prove otherwise.  FBI Director Christopher Wray was repeatedly pressed this week by members of Congress and his responses were less than forthcoming. In some cases, he claimed he had no knowledge of some extreme overreaches by the agency he leads and controls.

On this edition of Our Lives & Politics, we hear Chris Wray dodge and deceive as the questions repeatedly go unanswered. The FBI does not know who Ray Epps is but knows exactly what everyone with a Bank of America debit or credit card had for lunch in Washington D.C. between January 5th and 6th 2021. 

Plus, a big reveal on cyber organizations and the World Economic Forum working together before and after the 2020 election to change election laws, coordinate with the state Secretary of State, and then defend the Democrats in court cases in key swing states over election fraud and election audits.

We begin and end this hour with some thoughts on conservative political infighting and division we are seeing. Relatively speaking we are still early in the election process for the presidential primary, but the vitriol between factions is already concerning. One week after Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in November 2016, there was a meeting of all Democrat organizations. The Emergent Fund was created to give grants to groups like Antifa and thousands of others to discredit and remove a sitting U.S. president. We name the names on this episode of Our Lives & Politics.

Here we are in July already, and it’s Independence Day, the 4th of July. A time to celebrate.

What exactly are you celebrating when you celebrate America’s birth? What do you think Patriotism is?

There can be so many answers, and none of them are wrong. That’s what makes the question so interesting to us.

As we get into this hour and discuss Patriotism, I also want to feature some previous guests on Our Lives and Politics. The portfolio of interesting and intriguing people is growing, and we’re proud of the great Americans we’ve brought you.

Whether it was Julie Kelly, Juanita Broaddrick, Cory Mills, Mike Davis, Matt Palumbo, Michael Johns, Cort Kirkwood, or several others, each one, when talking about the country and the issues we face, always get back to God and you. By you, they mean each of us must get active at the grassroots.

Each of us has the ability to make a difference. You may feel like you’re just one person and internally ask, “How can I make a difference?” Some people like you feel the same way and are doing something every day to be an agent of change for our country. Each is a patriot in their own right.

Our Lives and Politics is a show that has brought you national political figures, influencers, and reporters over the first half of this year. We’ve spent time revealing truths from congressional hearings and sometimes talked one-on-one with community difference-makers.

In this episode, we listen to some of these guests’ comments from earlier this year about God, our country, and you from earlier this year.

We also hear the pulse of the people as we talk Patriotism in a live Twitter Space.

In 2016, the Hillary Clinton campaign decided to create the biggest lie in American politics. The Russian collusion story was a fabrication, many of us knew then, and we should know now. It was just dirty politics. Years and years of fake investigations, impeachments, and election interference at our government’s highest levels have devastated our country.

One political opponent used the full force of deep state operatives and the mainstream media to create an alternative reality for most people in the country. The Clinton campaign, the FBI, New York Times, Washington Post, and other nefarious actors changed American history by creating their own history.

John Durham investigated the origins of the Russian collusion story or hoax for four years. The investigation resulted in a guilty plea by FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith for lying on a FISA document that allowed the government to spy on Carter Page, who was part of the Donald Trump campaign in 2016. Clinesmith is now back to work. He didn’t even lose his law license.

There were a couple of other failed prosecutions by Durham, Clinton attorney Michael Sussman, and Igor Danchenko. Both were only charged with lying to the FBI during the investigation of the Russian collusion hoax, and both were acquitted. And then there was the Durham report. It was released a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve already forgotten what was revealed.

Judicial Watch has done great work with so many FOIA requests, which is the Freedom of Information Act. They were on this story for years, and Tom Fitton and his group brought us so much of the truth. If you were paying attention, so many of us already knew much of what was in the Durham report. And much of our knowledge came from those efforts at Judicial Watch.

Tom Fitton put this out on social media and Twitter this week. He said, “The FBI knew the Steele Dossier was a sack of lies, and yet they still pushed false allegations in the nefarious FISA warrant applications against Carter Page. They made it a point to try to crush Trump and those around him. It was purely political, banana republic effort to change the course of a presidential election and presidency.

Durham let down the American people with few and failed prosecutions. Never in American history has so much government corruption faced so little accountability. Let me be clear, the FBI and Justice Department – and their political masters in the Obama White House – are responsible for the worst government corruption in American history. President Trump is a crime victim who was targeted by a seditious conspiracy by Obama, Biden, Clinton, and their deep state allies.”

The members told a story of massive corruption within the Biden crime family.
