Let's Talk About Mental Health

Rural communities have a tremendous need for mental health resources, and Eastern Oregon University is working to fill the gap with a new Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. This week Michael and Suzannah talk about the CMHC program with program leaders Dr. Hope Schuermann and Dr. Christine McNichols. We learn about how students will earn all of their educational requirements to earn their Oregon mental health counselor licensure. We also learn how students will gain experience under a licensed mental health professional and how the online program helps rural students access mental health education.
