Unorthodox Perspectives #07: What You Need To Know About Money & Why Investing Isn't Hard with Jordan Highley

Unorthodox Perspectives #07: What You Need To Know About Money & Why Investing Isn't Hard with Jordan Highley

In this episode of the Unorthodox Perspectives, we're joined by money coach Jordan Highley. We discuss what you need to know about money, including saving, investing, and, how investing really isn't as hard as some people believe it to be and Jordan shares some great tips and platforms to get started on.

Some takeaways from this episode:

  • No one is responsible for your money but yourself and if you want to create a different financial future then starting today is the key.
  • You can start investing easily by setting up a Stock & Shares ISA, or the equivalent of one of these in your country and then making investing a habit.
  • Compounding is a simple strategy that you can use to hit your financial goals, and with just about anything else in life.
  • Our life is created by the choices and decisions we make and this includes our finances. If you don't come from a wealthy family, that isn't your fault but you want to make sure a wealthy family comes from you. If you don't then that is your fault.
  • Plus, much more!

Unorthodox Perspectives #06: The Power of Flobility with Karon Hawkins

Unorthodox Perspectives #06: The Power of Flobility with Karon Hawkins

In this episode of the Unorthodox Perspectives, we're joined by Karon Hawkins who is a Carnegie Mellon University Information System & Business Administration grad who decided corporate America wasn't for him. After quitting his job and pursuing his master's degree in health and physical activity, he worked at a few gyms before deciding to go out on his own. Now he owns his own online and in-person coaching business helping others move and feel better one session at a time.

Some takeaways from this episode:

  • Flobility is a practice that completely revamps our posture and how we approach fitness and movement.
  • The power of Flobility is found in having a strong core known as core stability and in our breath.
  • Our bodies and minds job is designed to keep us safe. This includes our posture, movement and our nervous system.
  • Like with anything in life (or even business) if you don't practice or use it, you lose it and it's the same with Flobility - you must practice it daily to see the results and overcome the pain and discomfort you're experiencing.
  • Plus, much more!
