Unrelenting Comfort
By Matthew Rowlett
Unrelenting Playlist #8: A Load of Christmas Cheer
Matt is rejoined by Tim to discuss their favorite Holiday songs...since, you know, it's the season for that sort of thing. Hopefully you'll find a new classic to add to your seasonal collection.
Unrelenting Playlist #7: The Crybaby List
The Unrelenting Playlist turns melancholy as Matt and Des get into their feels and console one another as they go through ten songs that evoke a certain emotion. Please join the duo and let us all cry together. But don't worry...the surprise song at the end will cheer you right up.
Unrelenting Playlist #6: Dance Fever
Get your feet moving with the latest and greatest Unrelenting Playlist to date! Matt is joined once again by Des as the two of them move their way through the best dance music out there, from the cock rock of Electric Six to the smooth stylings of Joji. We dare you to try and sit still while listening!
Unrelenting Playlist #5: The Loud One
Welcome to the first Unrelenting Playlist with a premeditated theme! Matt is rejoined by Des as they picked the loudest songs they can think of, from the goofy insanity of System of a Down to the relentless shouting of Sleater-Kinney. Later, during the triumphant return of the segment Hit or Sh!t, Des is gifted a song about a serial killer. Good stuff all around!
Unrelenting Playlist: The Quest 4 Peace
Matt is rejoined by Tim for another enthralling installment of the Unrelenting Playlist series! On this episode, Matt and Tim spend much of the time discussing linguistics, but eventually get around to talking about the music at hand. Later, a new bit is introduced titled "Arty or Farty", and the return of last episode's immensely popular surprise song bit provides more opportunity for Tim to show off his marketing skills. A hoot all around!
Unrelenting Playlist #3: Searching for Foot Foot
The latest installment of the Unrelenting Playlist series debuts new guest host Des to the proceedings to keep Matt in check. The two of them run the gamut in all genres for their playlist, while Matt introduces a new recurring segment that nearly causes Des to flee in terror. Perhaps this is the episode to catapult this podcast into the zeitgeist*?
*definitely not
Unrelenting Playlist #2: Electric Boogaloo
The world renowned* Unrelenting Playlist has returned! This episode was actually recorded back in October 2021, so the unrelenting hosts Matt and Tim are in an autumn mood, as this amazing playlist displays. Catch the fall excitement any time of year!

Unrelenting Playlist #1
The Unrelenting Comfort show is back with a theme! Hosts Matt and Tim conceive a playlist where each of them alternate selecting a song until they come up with a playlist that...may or may not have any thematic coherency, but is still very entertaining. They do hope you'll find something you love and add to your repertoire.
The Magic's Back!
Matt and Tim are finally joined by Owen, who subsequently makes his presence felt by destroying the myth of Florida Man. Then the three of them talk about music for waaaaaaayyyyyyy too long (but recommend some great bands in the process). Then, somewhere during the second segment, Tim spins a decent yarn about the word "decent." Finally, the three of them wrap up with "Twix Talks" which is actually stories about talking ravens and duck calls. So...yeah.
What Would Brian Eno Do?
Matthew and Tim start by discussing the current state of the world but try to change topics with the help of Oblique Strategies. Next, the two discuss the classic sitcom NewsRadio, which invariably leads to a discussion of Tim being beaten by Turkish barbers. Finally, they wrap up with a discussion of the death rumors of Kim Jong-Un, and finish with Matt wondering how drawings of space objects are made. Truly gripping stuff.
Love In the Time of Corona
Matthew is rejoined by Tim as they get their obligatory coronavirus talk out of the way. Then Tim pines for the days of 30-minute network television shows, Matt recalls his awesome pog collection from elementary school, and naturally they end up discussing African airport Google reviews. Finally, the two of them elaborate on what exactly their production company from high school accomplished (spoiler alert: not much), and Matt tell Tim of the time he had brain surgery (spoiler alert: he survived).
The Matt Check
Matthew is rejoined by the first episode's host, Tim Nightwing, whose newfound podcast fame leads to him introducing his "Matt Check" segment. Next, the two recount their glory days in high school, where Matt makes a scene during an AP test, Tim traces his musical tastes to an unlikely source, and how their production company's founding coincided with a tragic event. Finally, after another self-indulgent tale regarding Matt's taste of musical stardom, Tim reveals the inspiration behind the show's title.
Coming to America (from Bosnia)
Matthew is joined by two different guest hosts, Nevzad and Elmo, who help to correct the previous episode's mistakes, which leads to "Elder-Millennial" Matthew explaining the Y2K scare to the youngsters. Then, the guests discuss how they and their family left Bosnia after the war and how they made it to America, which somehow leads to a discussion of Prince Andrew's friendship with Jeffery Epstein. Finally, the topic of mental health is brought up, which leads to "Elder-Millennial" Matthew explaining the Columbine Massacre to his guests. I swear, this episode is way funnier than it looks in this synopsis.
Mmm Hmmm
Matthew is joined by two (!) new guest hosts, Devyn and Kila, who provide the show with actual, substantial content! After unrelentingly correcting the errors from the previous episode, the three discuss the current political climate, and Matt comes up with an idea for higher voter participation. Then, the two women tackle the volatile birth control debate from their own unique perspectives as -- wait for it -- women! Finally, the three wrap up on a HIGHER note, talking about the wonderful world of weed. You wanted content, here's your content!
Hot Ptolemy!
Matt and guest host Randall discuss such general topics as: Elk Lodge Family Reunion, Penn State student chants, and how all movies have a romantic subplot. Also, Randall debuts the Randall Fund™ and Matt spreads the word about his new favorite band, Altin Gün.
The Beginning of the End
We attempt to describe what this podcast is about...and fail. Also on the show: The Great Emu War, Jon's existential fear of dogs, voice-assistant accents, and much more!
