Minneapolis Rent Stabilization: What is Framework 5? | Urban Homeworks with Dr. Lewis & Dr. Goetz

Minneapolis Rent Stabilization: What is Framework 5? | Urban Homeworks with Dr. Lewis & Dr. Goetz

This January, the city-appointed Rent Stabilization Workgroup voted to put forward a framework to the Minneapolis City Council that prioritizes housing stability, specifically for low-income and Black and brown renters. Urban Homeworks' Executive Director, AsaleSol Young, was a part of this workgroup and was among the majority that voted for Framework 5.

This podcast panel is a breakdown on what all the components of the framework mean, what they look like in theory and practice, and what needs to happen to get this framework to pass. The end of the event features a brief Q&A. This event is moderated by Urban Homeworks Equity & Engagement Director, Temi Ogunrinde, and features AsaleSol Young, Dr. Brittany Lewis, and Dr. Ed Goetz as speakers.
