How was your disability caused/made worse by your active-duty service? ***How will I know if I got a favorable C&P exam?***  A favorable VA C&P exam will contain a “Nexus” statement, which at a minimum should state, “at least as likely as not” due to a veteran’s military service or another service-connected disability for secondary service connection.  If you see any statement such as “less likely” or “not likely” this is a signal that you had an unfavorable C&P exam and could be denied VA disability benefits. ***What should I do if I had a bad C&P exam?***  The good news is you can get a new exam, but you must take some specific actions to make that happen.  #1. Immediately call the VA general phone number at 1-800-827-1000, speak to a representative, complain, and ask him/her to make a note in your record for the VA regional office in your state.   #2. Write a Memorandum of Record (MFR) and upload it to VA.gov right after after your bad c and p exam (Stick to the facts: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How)  #3: Call the White House VA Hotline and ask for a new C&P exam: 1-855-948-2311. Calls are answered by a live agent 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.    #4. If all else fails, consider writing your State Congressman and/or Senator. ✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $13,119 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), Disability Benefits Report (DBR) and Medical Nexus Letters: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/elite-mem... 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/

GERD is most often rated under CFR 38, Part 4, VA Schedule of Ratings, Diagnostic Code 7346, Hernia Hiatal.  - Common Symptoms of GERD in Veterans -  * A burning sensation in your chest (heartburn), usually after eating, which may worsen at night * Chest pain * Difficulty eating and swallowing * Regurgitation of food particles or sour liquid * Sensation of a lump in your throat - GERD Secondary to PTSD & PTSD secondary to GERD -  Many veterans with GERD or acid reflux, especially those who were diagnosed long after leaving the military are eligible under the law for GERD secondary to PTSD. For example, if veterans are taking SSRIs to help manage their PTSD symptoms, perhaps you’re suffering from side effects of those SSRI medications, which can lead to digestive system issues.  - What you need before you can get a GERD VA rating secondary -  By law, there are three evidentiary elements that must be satisfied for GERD secondary to PTSD to prove secondary service connection: * A medical diagnosis of GERD in VA medical records or private records (unless you already have a diagnosis of GERD in your service treatment records) * Evidence of a service-connected primary disability (such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, migraines, IBS), AND * Medical nexus evidence establishing a connection between the service-connected disability (PTSD) and the current disability (GERD) 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/

#71: **New Information** Why You Should be Considering a VA Disability Claim for Chronic Pain in [2020]!
Brian Reese here, CEO of VA Claims Insider and today I have Veteran Master Coach Richard Shuminsky with me to discuss Chronic Pain. Why should you be considering to file a Chronic Pain Claim? In this video you will learn what chronic pain is, how to file it and what documentation you will need to win your claim. Not sure where to start, you can get the right VA claim strategy and start FREE now: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com ***Video Timestamps & Resources***  ⏩ 00:00 VA Claims Insider BOOM! ⏩ 06:00 Somatic Symptom Disorder  ⏩ 08:30 Chronic Pain is a Secondary Disability  ⏩ 16:30 CFR 38 Part 4 the Schedule for Rating Disabilities  ⏩ 19:00 Do not let not having your medical records stop you ⏩ 32:00 #1 You must have a logical link, the Nexus  ⏩ 39:15 Q&A time! ⏩ 41:30 How are headaches rated? ⏩ 44:00 What if your doctor refuses to write a nexus letter ⏩ 50:20 Get your C-File  ⏩ 55:00 Sleep apnea secondary to PTSD ⏩ 1:00:00 You need to act NOW! What is Chronic Pain - Chronic Pain is long lasting pain which interferes with your daily life. It begins to qualify as chronic once it lasts over six months. In some cases, chronic pain is persistent for years of someone’s life.  Chronic Pain can be linked to a number of different reasons, including injury, disease, or damage to nerves. Chronic pain is a condition which directly affects someone’s mental health. Through anxiety, lack of sleep, hopelessness, and depression chronic pain can reveal itself.  How to prove Chronic Pain - Another step in this process is establishing credibility. One way you can do this is by proving that you have tried to relieve the pain in other ways. This could be done with some approaches, including massage therapy, seeing a chiropractor, or visiting with a pain specialist. How to file - Chronic Pain can be submitted as a primary or secondary to other service related conditions.  With this, you will need to understand how primary and secondary claims are rated.  First off, when filing the initial primary claim, you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that your military service directly causes it.  Secondly, to keep your current rating or increase it from the VA, you have to prove, that is has created your “quality of life” and “impairment to your earning capabilities”, and has progressively gotten worse over time.

How to Diagnose Somatic Symptom Disorder in Veterans -  A diagnosis of Somatic Symptom Disorder, which is widely recognized as a disabling condition, is accepted by VA as a disability for compensation purposes.  Adequate medical evidence must be of record that identifies the specific manifestations of the disease present in order to accurately evaluate the condition. This means veterans need a medical diagnosis of Somatic Symptom Disorder. There must be a clear Nexus or logical link to a veteran’s current service-connected disabilities for secondary service connection. The veteran must have current symptoms of Somatic Symptom Disorder that are causing occupational and social impairment. ✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $13,119 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), Disability Benefits Report (DBR) and Medical Nexus Letters: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com

#66: VA Disability Rates 2021 *REVEALED* + 5 Tips to INCREASE Your VA Disability Pay | VA Claims Insider
In today's video tutorial, I'm going to reveal and explain the *NEW* VA disability rates 2021 (to include the COLA 2021 increase of 1.3%) along with 5 expert tips to increase your VA disability pay.   So, what will you learn in this new video?  💥Tip #1: The 2021 COLA increase for disabled veterans is 1.3%. First, you’ll discover that disabled veterans with a 10% combined VA disability rating or higher will first see a 1.3% COLA increase on their January 2021 direct deposit payment. For example, if you were getting $1,000/month in 2020, a 1.3% increase on $1,000 is $13, meaning your 2021 VA disability rates would increase to $1,013/month.   💥Tip #2: You Served. You Deserve. I’m also going to share some shocking statistics about VA disability benefits and why I think less than 25% of eligible veterans receive any VA benefits at all (Did you know ~75% of eligible veterans don't get any VA benefits?). I give you permission to get the VA disability benefits you've earned by law. You'll also learn about High Value VA claims vs. Low Value VA claims and how the VA's fuzzy math calculation works against you when trying to increase your VA rating.   💥Tip #3: VA pay chart 2021. You’ll get to see the official VA disability pay chart 2021 explained step-by-step. The VA makes a combined VA rating and adds any dependents you have. Your overall monthly VA pay is determined by your final VA disability rating percentage, total number of dependents, and whether you qualify for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC).   💥Tip #4: VA pay dates 2021. I share and explain the official 2021 VA disability pay dates schedule by month and day of the week. For all VA disability benefits, the actual benefit for a month is paid the first business day of the following month. However, when the first day of the month falls on a non-business day or a holiday, VA compensation benefits will be paid on the last business day prior to the first of the month.  💥Tip #5: VA Claims Insider Elite membership program + unlock your bonuses. I’ll show you *HOW* to get the VA disability benefits you’ve earned for your honorable service to our nation. You'll learn how to increase your VA disability rating in 2021 with personalized strategy, expert-level education & empowerment, and new and relevant medical evidence. Hello fellow veterans! Maranda Boggs here and I am a Veteran Coach with VA Claims Insider. Today I wanted to tough topic to talk about and that is veteran suicide. Many Veterans believe they are strong enough to get past the worst of times on their own. As we know from many scientific studies and through anecdotal evidence, it doesn’t work out very often.  When it doesn’t work out, the Veterans in crisis who go without support commonly wind up as a statistic.  Suicide is a major problem for the Veteran community and for all Veterans in crisis. What’s worse is, in the past decade, the number of suicides among the Veteran community has passed the number of deaths attributed to the Vietnam war.  Research has revealed the Veterans with the highest rate of suicide are middle aged males. This means most Veteran suicides are happening years after a service member is given their DD-214. Support is required throughout a person’s life, but a Veteran in crisis can be years removed from service when the crisis occurs. ✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $13,119 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), Disability Benefits Report (DBR) and Medical Nexus Letters: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com 📺 Check out The VA Claims Insider YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/vaclaimsinsider 🔥 We go LIVE every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/vaclaimsinsider

Hello fellow Veterans, DP Veteran Master Coach with Team Champions and today along with fellow Veteran Coach Amy and Jen a licensed trauma therapist and we will be discussing Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and discussing the tolls it takes on veterans and how you can claim a VA disability claim for MST. If you want to work with Team Champions you can sign up at http://www.joinVACI.com What is MST?  “The definition used by the VA comes from Federal law (Title 38 U.S. Code 1720D) and is psychological trauma, which in the judgment of a VA mental health professional, resulted from a physical assault of a sexual nature, battery of a sexual nature, or sexual harassment which occurred while the Veteran was serving on active duty, active duty for training, or inactive duty training.”  Strong emotions: feeling depressed; having intense, sudden emotional responses to things; feeling angry or irritable all the time.  Feelings of numbness: feeling emotionally “flat”; difficulty experiencing emotions like love or happiness. It is also stated that because a lot of sexual trauma goes unreported, the evidence is accepted from sources that most claims would not allow. Here are some examples of those options:  - Department of Defense sexual assault or harassment reporting forms - Investigative Reports completed during military service - Law enforcement reports - Mental Health Counseling Centers - Hospitals - Requests for transfer to another military duty assignment - Decrease work performance - Unexplained behavior (economic or social) - Sexual dysfunction ✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $13,119 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), Disability Benefits Report (DBR) and Medical Nexus Letters: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/ 🚀 Check out the VA Claims Insider blog here: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/blog/

Now to tell if you’re eligible by law, you need to have all of these three:  #1. Get a medical diagnosis of your migraine headache with medical evidence supporting your migraine headaches. If you don’t have one, get your butt to the doctor!!!  #2. Next, your headaches were either caused or worsened while on your active duty military service.  #3. Lastly, there must be a link or the instance or multiple instances caused to have your symptoms of Migraine Headaches you are experiencing today. In other words, do you have proof this happened while on active duty?

Generally speaking, a service dog or assistance dog is a working dog specially trained to help a person or group of people with a disability or specific needs. Under the ADA, service dogs cannot be denied entrance to businesses, even food service establishments, state and local government facilities or nonprofit organizations that serve the public. However, service dogs must be under control at all times. This generally means they should be leashed or harnessed—unless these get in the way of the dog's duties, in which case the dog must still be under the handler's control.   Eligibility for a Service Dog If you are a veteran or first responder who is interested in applying for a service dog, please review the following information to determine if you meet our eligibility requirements. BOOM!   Are you finally ready to get the VA disability rating and compensation YOU deserve?  Complete our 3-step intake and get started now for FREE: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com ***Back Pain, What you need to know to maximize your VA disability rating!***  How are VA claims for back pain rated?  Many veterans suffer from various back conditions due to their active duty military service and perhaps you’re wondering if you can get VA disability for back pain.  Generally, VA disability ratings for back pain range from 10% to 100% and depend upon the frequency, severity, and duration of symptoms, including Painful Motion, Limitation of Range of Motion (ROM), and Functional Loss or Impairment.  What is the “Limitation of Range of Motion” for VA disability for back pain? The limitation of the range of motion principle is arguably the most important principle that applies to VA disability ratings for back pain. Why? Because the general rating formula for diseases and injuries of the spine talk about “flexion,” which is the act of flexing or bending.  Any limitation of Range of Motion (ROM) should be measured with a Goniometer by the medical professional at your VA C&P Exam for Back Pain.  You must be open, honest, and truthful at your C&P exam for back pain, and make sure to STOP the C&P examiner as soon as you feel any pain. If you can’t move at all without pain, make sure to let the examiner know that.  Can I be rated for more than one VA disability for the back?  In some situations, you can be rated for more than one disability condition for your back that causes different levels of impairment and is clearly separately rated conditions. For example, you may have a 50% VA rating for your back due to unfavorable ankylosis of the entire thoracolumbar spine. This is also known as a Lifestyle Impact Claim.   This is typically tied to the daily chronic pain and life/health limitations related to a disabled veteran's current service-connected disabilities rated at 0 percent or higher.  It is sometimes referred to as a "Lifestyle Impact Claim," although no such claim exists in CFR 38, Part 4, Schedule for Rating Disabilities.  The disabled Veteran typically has excessive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors relating to these physical symptoms, which causes significant occupational and social impairment in the Veteran's work, life, and/or social functioning. 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/

As many of you know, neck and back pain can have serious effects on your daily life. Veterans are often unaware of why they are in pain, and what that pain is telling them. It is highly likely that your pains may very well be from another previous injury you sustained and the current back pain you're now feeling is from overcompensation of some sort. If this is the case, your injuries can be Secondary Service Connected if you are already Service Connected for another injury. The VA Claims Process is a pain, but it doesn't have to be. More often than not, the Veteran's disability claims are denied due to a lack of medical evidence. This is where Veterans hit a wall and are unable to get past it without the right documentation.  VA Claims Insider is a company of Veterans fighting for Veterans to get the compensation they deserve. We understand what you've been through and what you're going through because we've already done it!  If your lacking the proper evidence and are frustrated with the VA, VA Claims Insider has your back. #34: EASY Ways to Service Connect Your VA PTSD Claim [Fast!]
✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $13,119 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain a VA PTSD DBQ and Medical Nexus Letters: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com Many veterans who experience a traumatic event on active duty develop PTSD, also called your VA PTSD Claim. This traumatic event is called a PTSD stressor by the VA.  It is estimated that veterans are four times (4x) as likely to have or develop PTSD compared to those who didn’t serve in the military–a truly shocking statistic.  It’s reasonable to assume a veteran will pursue a VA claim for PTSD at some point, and this post will help you on your path to service connection for PTSD. The VA states a stressor involves exposure to death, threatened death, actual or threatened serious injury, or actual or threatened sexual violence.  The exposure can be related to:  Direct exposure  Indirect exposure, such as learning that a close relative or close friend was exposed to trauma  Witnessing in-person  Repeated or extreme indirect exposure to details of the event  For rating purposes, the VA classifies PTSD as either (1) PTSD Combat or (2) PTSD Non-Combat. Examples of PTSD combat stressors  • Rocket and mortar attacks in Iraq  • Enemy ambush in Vietnam  • IED event in Afghanistan  • Flight deck plane crash in the Gulf War  • Seeing another service-member killed while deployed  Examples of PTSD non-combat stressors Military Sexual Trauma (MST), assault or harassment  • Service-member suicide  • Serious car accidents  • Training accidents  • Witnessing a rape  • Serious weather event such as a hurricane  • Death of a family member How to Prove Your Service-Connected VA Claim For PTSD  Stressor verification is a huge deal for VA disability claims for PTSD.  The reality is if the veteran can’t prove their PTSD stressor on an “at least as likely as not” basis, you’ll likely be denied service connection.  This is also referred to as “corroboration” of a claimed stressor.  By definition, “corroborate” means “to support with evidence or authority and make more certain.”  The VA has different rules to assess whether a stressor event needs further verification.  But in our experience, I want to make something very clear to veterans seeking service connection for PTSD: The burden of proof is on YOU to show on an “at least as likely as not” basis that the stressor event happened to YOU. 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/ 🚀 Check out the VA Claims Insider blog here: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/blog/

It’s believed that 30% of Vietnam veterans have had PTSD in their lifetime. How Many Veterans Have PTSD MST?  Sadly, another common cause of non-combat PTSD in the military is referred to as PTSD MST, which stands for Military Sexual Trauma (MST).  This is any form of sexual harassment or sexual assault that occurs on active duty. MST can happen to both men and women and can occur during peacetime, training, or war. Among veterans who use VA health care, it is reported that:  23 out of 100 women (or 23%) reported sexual assault when in the military.  55 out of 100 women (or 55%) and 38 out of 100 men (or 38%) have experienced sexual harassment when in the military. According to the VBA’s statistics reported to congress, PTSD was the #3 most commonly claimed VA disability, with 1,753,091 veterans (of 4,743,108) receiving VA compensation having a service-connected PTSD VA rating at 0 percent or higher. #30: How to Win Your VA Lifestyle Impact Claim (Chronic Pain Syndrome)
✔️Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $7,500 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and obtain a VA DBQ and Medical Nexus Letters: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com 🎯 Veterans, watch my free webinar training here: http://www.vaclaimsinsidersecrets.com Brian Reese VA Insider breaks down “How to Win Your VA Lifestyle Impact Claim!” A Lifestyle Impact Claim is also Chronic Pain Syndrome and Somatic Symptom Disorder. Those terms are synonymous with depression and anxiety in veterans. These three terms all mean the same thing when it comes to VA claims for mental health. What is a Lifestyle Impact Claim?   I consider this a high-value va claim and if you meet the criteria under the law, a Va Lifestyle Impact Claim is something you should consider as you are developing your strategy for veteran benefits.   A Lifestyle Impact Claim is a high-value secondary claim that many veterans are eligible for due to one or more primary service-connected disabilities.   Many veterans, lawyers, and VSOs DON’T know about secondary claims, which are eligible for compensation under the law, just like any other ratable disability.  It is also actually called Somatic Symptom Disorder according to DSM-V, and the VA used to call it “Chronic Pain Syndrome with Depression/Anxiety.”   You are eligible for this if you already have a rating from the VA as 0% or higher, and you have specific, rated, disabilities.   For example, you are rated at 20% for your left shoulder, 10% for your right knee, and 0% for your back. If these disabilities have caused chronic pain and negatively limiting your life, then you may qualify for a secondary claim to mental health. You will need a certification from a Psychologist for Somatic Symptom Disorder, which will link the two together. There are three types of service connection, there is direct service connection, secondary service connection or presumptive service connection and we are going to be talking about secondary service conditions because that is exactly what Chronic Pain Syndrome - Somatic Symptom Disorder is.   Va rates all service-connected disabilities based on your social and occupational impairment and VA will rate you based on how Somatic Symptom Disorder affects your ability to work and your social life. If you are unable to lift your niece because of the chronic pain in your neck then that is an example of a disability that directly affects your lifestyle and that is why we call it a Lifestyle Impact Claim. 🎯 Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $7,500 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and have licensed medical professionals get started on your VA disability claim for FREE: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com ✔️ Start now for FREE: http://vaclaimsinsiderelite.com

✔️ Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get over $7,500 worth of bonuses TODAY, and have licensed medical professionals get started on your VA disability claim for secondary service connection FREE: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com 📺 Veterans, watch my free webinar training here: http://www.vaclaimsinsidersecrets.com Many veterans don't realize they are eligible for high-value secondary VA disability claims, also called Secondary Service Connection.  Service connection on a secondary basis requires a showing of causation.   A showing of causation requires that the secondary disability be shown to be proximately due to, or the result of, another service connected VA disability condition.  In order to prove secondary service connection, however, you'll need to get a VA DBQ and a VA Nexus Letter, or you risk having your secondary VA claim denied.   What this means is that you're telling the VA that your current disability was caused or made worse by ANOTHER service connected disability in your body rated at 0% or higher.  Secondary VA disability claims are rated just like primary VA disability claims. You can get rated between 0-100 for any secondary disability claims you're suffering from as a result of another service connected disability rated by the VA. The benefit of secondary VA claims and secondary service connection is that they are much easier to win and service connect, especially if you've been out of the military for more than 12 months.  If you found this video valuable, please give it a like. Many veterans mistakenly interchange “Permanent” and “Total,” when, they have very different meanings.  For example, a veteran can have a Total disability that’s temporary, such as a total knee replacement OR a Permanent disability rated less than 100 percent, such as Sleep Apnea that’s been rated at 50 percent for the past 10 years.  Veterans can also be both Permanent and Total, not just one or the other.  The major benefit of being deemed both “Permanent and Total” or 100 P&T is that veterans are protected from a VA ratings reduction.  Furthermore, being rated 100 percent P&T entitles you or your family to a host of additional VA benefits. 👉 Get FREE VA claim resources at our website: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/ 💡 Learn about Total and Permanent Disability VA: The Definitive Guide: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/total-and... 🚀 Check out the VA Claims Insider blog here: https://vaclaimsinsider.com/blog/ 🎙 Listen to the VA Claims Insider Podcast: https://anchor.fm/vaclaimsinsider   📺 Check out The VA Claims Insider YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/brianreesevac...

In this video, Brian Reese VA Claims Insider reveals 5 SECRETS to Increase Your Service Connected Disability Rating with actionable strategies and lessons learned to help veterans get the VA disability rating and compensation they deserve.   The 5 VA Claim SECRETS Revealed - LIVE with VA Claims Insider are:  ☑️ 1. Fully Developed Claim (FDC) versus Standard Claim and WHY veterans should ONLY file Fully Developed Claims. This could result in a more accurate VA rating in less time.   ☑️ 2. Secondary Service Connection. Veterans are eligible to file secondary disability claims, which can help you prove service connection much easier for any conditions that were caused or made worse by another service-connected disability in your body. We also recommend veterans obtain Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) and Medical Nexus letters to help you win, service connect, and get rated at the appropriate level under 38 CFR.  ☑️ 3. PTSD VA claims and Somatic Symptom Disorder VA claims. Mental health claims are high-value claims, which have a very high likelihood of getting rated at 30% or higher on their own.   ☑️ 4. Stop uploading new evidence after claim submission! This may slow down the VA rater and delay your VA claim decision.  ☑️ 5. Write a Statement in Support of a Claim for EVERY VA disability condition you are filing for. This will help the VA Rater understand the condition you’re claiming, the possible Nexus links to prove service connection, and your current severity of symptoms.

Tinnitus is the number one easiest VA disability claim to win by the way.  According to the 2018-2019 VA disability claims data, Tinnitus was the most commonly claimed disability for all Veterans.  Your Tinnitus VA Claim can only have one VA rating.  It is either 10% or nothing.  Your hearing loss VA rating depends on several factors, which are listed below.  What is the typical VA compensation for hearing loss or other ear conditions?  Tinnitus VA Rating  Tinnitus is either rated at 10 percent or nothing. There is no unilateral or bilateral factor for your Tinnitus VA rating. Loss of Ears VA Rating  Veterans will receive a 30 percent VA rating for the loss of one ear.  Veterans will receive a bilateral factor and a VA rating of 50 percent for the loss of both ears.  Eardrum VA Rating  Veterans will receive a 0 percent VA rating for perforated eardrum.  If you found this video valuable, please give it a like. #18: How to *WIN* Your VA Claim with LAY EVIDENCE
🎯 Join VA Claims Insider Elite, get instant access to the ELITE Experience Portal (EEP) and $7,500 worth of proprietary VA claim resources TODAY, and have licensed medical professionals get started on your VA disability claim for FREE: http://www.vaclaimsinsiderelite.com   ✔️ Veterans, watch my free webinar training here: http://www.vaclaimsinsidersecrets.com   Need Disability Benefit Questionnaire (DBQ) reviews and medical Nexus letters to service-connect and get rated at the appropriate level in support of your VA disability claim or appeal?  How to Prove Service Connection  In this video, I explain how to use lay evidence to service connect your VA disability claim, even if you’ve already filed or been denied.  This information is especially important if your service treatment records lack sufficient medical evidence of any in-service disability or condition.  Side note: This is VERY common veterans!  Why?  Because you often didn’t go to the doctor enough while you served on active duty, and thus, your service treatment records do not contain any evidence of a disability or condition. I can literally read the VA’s denial letter now: “The veterans active duty service treatment records do not contain any medical evidence or subject complaints of the disability or condition.”  Here’s the deal veterans: You can prove your VA disability claim and overturn previous denials of service connection using something called “lay evidence.”  What is Lay Evidence?  Lay evidence simply means “after the fact evidence” and it must be competent and credible.  “Competent lay evidence” means any evidence not requiring that the proponent have specialized education, training, or experience.  Lay evidence is competent and credible if it is provided by a person who has knowledge of facts or circumstances and conveys matters that can be observed and described by a lay person. VA Lay Statement Examples  1. A personal statement you write on the VA Form 21-4138 documenting how you think your current non-combat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is due to an in-service sexual assault and stressor event that occurred 20 years ago IS lay evidence.  2. A Buddy Letter written by someone you served with who can shed some light on how your shoulder separation occurred on active duty IS lay evidence.  3. A spousal letter for sleep apnea, which documents what your spouse has witnessed over the years, and the approximate dates he/she noticed your sleep apnea symptoms began in-service IS lay evidence.  4. A current co-worker’s statement in support of a claim describing the severity of your current PTSD symptoms IS lay evidence.  If you found this video valuable, please give it a like.
