Episode 31 - Ollie Martin, Consultant
I had the pleasure of welcoming Ollie Martin, who is a consultant, onto the podcast. Ollie is a super passionate & interesting character, having worked in the police force for a number of years, he is driven to help ex forces personnel use their fantastic transferable skills in the civilian world of work. I was really taken aback and learned so much myself about the trust, listening, empathy, care, MVP (minimal viable products/situations), iteration, inclusive etc approach that he and so many of his peers takes to their service work. Ollie is driven by the same things as myself - to make individuals and the world of work more human - and I am excited to watch Ollie's trajectory as we enter 2019. I had the pleasure of welcoming Charles onto the podcast today. I reached out to Charles after being made aware of his Trust Equation model via Helen Amery. Topics covered today include a dive into the trust equation, a focus on intimacy (which could also be seen as vulnerability), the current & future of work especially as it relates to trust & Charles' wonderful insights around the importance of the marriage between data and humanity, in driving, mutually serving sales relationships. Episode 15 - My personal reflections 14 episodes in
I share my personal origin story, why this podcast has been created, the key themes that I have heard & learned come up throughout these first 14 podcasts & the clarity that we are all connected as one, singular, human race, above all else. I actually felt quite emotional recording this summary as: 1) the giving nature of those contributing hit me and 2) the absolute clarity as to where the major opportunities lay are so evident All of these opportunities are 100%, distinctly & deeply human. There is nothing in these first 14 podcasts around myopically focusing on quarterly results or metrics. Design work around the connected human beings that you are already paying billions for per day, and you you will give meaning & drive improved outcomes. It IS that simple for me. Focus areas that will help drive this and that I am keen to support others with are around: - mindset - trust - curiosity - inclusion - purpose & vision - effective listening Please find here -> https://thelisteningorganisation.co.uk/ -> my human-centred cultural model in case this is of any interest
