This episode I sit down and speak with reality tv royalty Mr. Dan Gheesling. Dan was kind enough to give me some of his time to talk about Ultima Online. It is always amazing how many people this game as touched throughout the years. Dan is starring in a show called Traitors Season 2 on Peacock so please check it out and give him some love!

In this episode I sit down with Brianna Wu and we talk some UO. It is amazing how many people have played this game and the more I discover who has the better these conversations seem to get! Brianna has a very diverse background from game development to a passion for politics. This was a great walk down memory lane and we get to have some insight behind what the game meant to her and how it still shapes some of her real life goals. I was approached by John-Clark to help him on his quest to write a piece about Ultima Online. I was  honored and humbled by this request and here is the raw audio file of our conversation. It has keyboard noise, in game noise and a host of other things that are very different from the normal format... Please share your feedback on what you thought... I really wanted John-Clark to get a sense of understand on what this game is current day. He got to see an active guild, a hunt, historical houses and some priceless interactions. 

John-Clark clearly did exhaustive research on UO and his questions really had me thinking. I think trying to fit all of who he is interviewing into a written article seems like a arduous task that I cannot imagine! I hope however the insight I gave and even showing him in game footage helps this article last another 25 years as UO has. I will share this article once written in my discord and social media platforms as I am chomping at the bit to read it. A huge thank you to John-Clark for giving this game and its genius design a platform. I sincerely hope and wish for 2023 UO players become more unified in the goal of expanding no matter what shard whether free or official. My take is as long as people are playing some sort of UO it is a huge win.

In this episode I sit down with Abigor of KOOL and discuss his personal history with UO and talk some OSI. I didn't know what to expect coming into this discussion as many believe OSI is not alive or on life support.  I am biased in the fact that I play a free shard so I really wanted someone to challenge this idea and give me their opinion. At the end of the entire experience my take away is that OSI is alive and well and is stable for the future. I saw a guild that was thriving and alive with events, hunts and tons of activities. This will tie into the next episode where KOOL helped me out with one of my biggest UO projects to date so stay tuned!

In this episode I sit down with international sex symbol Trammy Surprise. He is known for stiff ebolts, epic steals and a whole bunch of fun. This is my favorite entertainer for UO and many will agree. This conversation flowed like butter and was one of the easiest episodes I have recorded. Trammy revealed some interesting facts about his OSI career which I haven't heard before and we truly understand what was behind the name!

In this episode I sit down with Evil Poptart. I have heard of this name all throughout my UO career but I never got the chance to play with or against him in the battlefield. We seemingly never crossed paths but I heard a great deal of his antics and PK acumen. This was a great sit down to fully understand how did Poptart come to be one of the most feared and ruthless PKs in the game? The answer really surprised me as his early UO days I figured would have been filled with complete chaos but it was not and his story is very interesting. One thing Poptart reminded me is something that was the whole reason I started this podcast.... As long as your happy and playing UO everything else doesn't matter! We have so many free shards to pick from with different mechanics and builds that there is no excuse to not be playing this great game. My hope is interviews like this one stand the test of time and give people a fresh look on how to bring the UO community closer together instead of divide because you play a different shard.

This episode I sit down with the infamous Omeg The Orc. This was a very interesting interview on not only Omegs origin story but behind the scenes of the Orcs. We talk about 28.8k connections all the way to Orcs plundering their own kind! I sit down with Puck from the UOR free shard and we talk about him personally and some in depth discussions about UOR. I think out of all the free shards this seems to be one of the most stable free shards I have seen. The consistent player base based on numbers that are available seem to be a testament to that fact.   Puck is extremely well spoken and this was a great conversation to be apart of!

In this episode I sit down with the Grand Master PVPer himself Ansem UO. I would say one of the best well rounded PVPers in the history of UO going through various eras and shards. This is a great extremely technical breakdown of the mind of a top tier caster. The way in which Ansem breaks down certain mechanics was one of the best I have heard. As a mid level PVPer I felt this was very revealing to understand the past and how it makes people play today.

In this episode I sit down with the most notorious PK guild leader to ever grace Ultima Online: GluttonySDS. Whether you were a PK, Blue or anything in between you have certainly at some point in your UO career seen a EQMS tag.  EQMS is a guild like never seen before as a mass amount of people would group up and cast Earthquake or Meteor Swarm as a combo. This does massive damage but takes a lot of mana. Doing it a large group essentially kills anything in your way. EQMS has been banned from multiple shards for simple creating too much chaos and havoc. I have no expectations or idea what this interview would bring and this was such an awesome experience. Gluttony brings a no filter, no BS thought provoking style like I have never seen.  The simple strategy he employed still has not be replicated in UO that I am aware of. Gluttony has now moved on to Albion Online with numbers passing clear of 30,000 players he has certainly once again made a name for himself. As my quest to interview all of the legends this certainly will add to the library.

In this episode I sit down with the leader of Free City of Trinsic Skye Wolfbane. She is the leader of a huge guild on UOF and this a unique take on how her past experiences have shaped her current role. From a PvM standpoint this was a very interesting chat as we actually agreed on way more than originally thought with PVP. I take a seat with a best selling author Wed Locher. Wes brings his creative side like no other and explains how he got into Ultima Online. Here is the final part of my talk with Lord British. This is one of the most fascinating interviews I believe I will ever do. We go into Red Alert, StarCraft, VR and current EA/Broadsword leadership. I ask the question if Garriott ever thinks about taking back UO and the answer is a bit surprising to me.  We also talk about virtual and real world economies which directly applies to the current free shards. The passion in the answers really took me for a ride as some of these basic principles such as gold are really much more complex then I originally thought. Probably the best story we will hear is how a thief evaded a ban while robbing a poor lady blind in front of Lord British!

In this episode we chat with perhaps the most interesting international OSI player: Say Simba. This is a fascinating look at how playing in China actually works and how many hurdles you have to overcome to play a banned game. We went through about 5 VPNs to make this happen and near a month of coordination this was a great project that came together. 

I sit one on one with the sole owner of Hybrid. We go on a journey to explore what it takes to run one of the oldest running shards in existence. 

In this episode I sit down with another moderator for Hybrid and we talk in depth about Hybrid and the new patch. The most striking was the Jarvis system and the gold share feature. These two really set Hybrid apart on how they work and really make sense to me. 

I sit down with Mister Lippy and go over his story and how he arrived on Hybrid. I also get a peak at behind the scenes of being a Discord moderator.

I personally played Hybrid for many years after OSI and always loved the ruleset and PvP. Hybrid will always be something I mention or speak about as it played a part in my life for a long time. I believe it is the longest running free shard that has any sort of population worth mentioning.
