Verso's Prock Cast

The penultimate episode. The boys reminisce about Euro 96 and chat about the carnival. There's a rare spotting of a lion in Felixstowe and another shout out to Biggsy who will be the star of the final (ever?) episode.

Will the new Manor end restaurant ever open and will the council ever fix the walkway outside of it that goes onto the prom? Verso states the sausage makes a breakfast and Prockie has yet another bad night at the Premier Inn.

Prockie is a convert to Favorite Chicken but claims KFC gravy is superior. Who is The Suffolk Gazette? Don't get Verso to make you a cup of tea after you've locked him in a cellar.

Episode 8 sees the boys discuss an illegal cigarette heist in Felixstowe whilst Verso reminisces about his time as a young butcher.

Half day closing on Wednesdays and memories of The Routemaster also feature as well as Verso's hatred of adding needless words to acronyms and Prockie's amateur radio knowledge comes to the fore when they discuss Morse Code.

Is Papa John's coming to town along with Travelodge and Prockie welcomes a new pet whilst Verso says goodbye to an old one. 

The boy's chat about Verso's radio debut and another shout out to the Biggs brothers. The 69th anniversary of Felixstowe's Floods are mentioned along with the possibility of the council selling our sand and pebbles by the lorry load. 

We find out what FAT FACE is and why Prockie thinks we need one in Felixstowe. Prockie talks a walk over the new Trimley bridge.

Big news about the future of the podcast and what we used to get up to in Felixstowe in the 80's and 90's with tales of sleeping in strangers garages and Prockie's doorman work.

The first ever special guest sees the boys chat to a Felixstowe ex-pat who is living the dream out in Java (an hour on a plane away from Bali). There's also some feedback on the KFC story along with a shout out to Trimley boy, Stephen George Biggs.

After a prolonged Christmas and New Year the boys are back in full flow. They discuss Verso's other podcasts and broadcasting aspirations. Prockie tells more tales from The Falcon days gone by.

This leads on to The Little Ships and the drinking culture at the Port of Felixstowe over 30 years ago.

Why hasn't Felixstowe got a KFC and there's some stories about the town's Indian restaurants.  

Prockie remembers the halcyon days of CB radio and Verso tells a rather embarrassing story about Google Street View

The boys get a tad serious as they discuss Verso's weight loss. Prockie tells us about his stay at the Premier Inn and they chat about other hotels in the town along with the 6 person chalet for rent at a whopping £2,250 a night.

Verso tells us about his autobiography that got shelved and the story behind the FBI closing down his website finally sees the light.

Apologies if you think this episode is an 'allo 'allo spoof. It's just Prockie talking in a French accent.

Verso and Prockie’s second podcast about Felixstowe. We discover that Jamie has an adverse reaction to anything growing in a Petrie Dish and is nearly sick, how to blow up a pair of scissors and name some of the good and bad teachers at Orwell High School.

Prockie confesses to hacking the school computer network with a pornographic image and setting off the newly installed fire alarm while Verso tells us that Gary Durrant set fire to a schoolgirl’s hair.

The big news is Verso's new radio show on Felixstowe Radio with more to follow about that!

We carry on talking about Orwell High School and Deben High School and what is left of them now. The View Point Café, the restaurant at the Fludyers Hotel and The Spud Hut on Felixstowe high street also get a review and mention. Trimley Treacle Mines is also mentioned and shut down quite early on.

We brush over what makes a good chip shop and the list of 11 Felixstowe chip shops soon to be reviewed (by Verso) as well as chat about The Lions Club of Felixstowe, Felixstowe town centre Christmas decorations, Charlie Philpot and the Trimley Christmas tree lights and Len Alexanders rude little boy on his knee.
