In this first episode of the Vick Tipnes Show, I had the pleasure of interviewing Luxury Real Estate Agent and star of Netflix's hit show "Selling Tampa", Juawana Colbert.  

In the show we discuss her success story, what really goes on behind the scenes of "Selling Tampa", and the importance of having goals, among many other things.

It’s very common for people to walk out of their door and instantly set themselves up for failure. Not because of who they truly are, but because of their thoughts that they let control them.

The person who thinks of the world as a toxic place will live a toxic life versus the person who loves the world he lives in. That’s the difference between the people you see who are happy and unhappy everyday.

The unhappy person is setting themselves up for failure from the very start of the day, and no one’s saying it’s easy to change that, but you need to work on it by manifesting the life you want.

There are a lot of gurus out there that talk about what it takes to be successful and a leader, but they don’t even run a company. At best they own a consultant firm, and if you know what I talk about, you know I only take advice from those that do something better than me.

So when these gurus talk about making decisions as a team, it gives off the wrong impression because those decisions are made upstairs by the ones who took the risks. It’s always important to work as a team and show empathy but it’s just as important to make hard decisions and stick to what’s best for the company, remember that as a CEO.

You don’t need to take other people's opinions seriously. If someone is giving you advice on something they know nothing about, don’t take it!

You’d be surprised how many people do that and then they’re scratching their head asking themselves why they are where they are in life. When you take advice, come to your own conclusions or listen to those who have actually done it.

Most people don’t set micro and macro goals; that’s why they’re still where they are. If you don’t have a final destination or a pit stop marked, how are you supposed to know where you’re going?

At the beginning of the year, I set goals for the whole year, to the quarter, month, week, and day. But most people don’t even know what their micro-goals are, start big and work your way back.

Success is not a one size fits all reward that they hand out as a participation trophy. It takes persistence to get it, and it’s the door that unlocks when you persist enough.

That’s the only difference between the average person and someone you’ve seen make it, they persisted. But once you get through that door, it’s ten times easier because everything starts quadrupling.

Here’s a little piece of self development advice for you: put yourself first. It sounds “selfish” but it’s not, how do you expect to help others if you can’t help yourself.

If anyone has ever told you to worry about others first or put others before yourself, they don’t want to see you win. They don’t, they’re controlling and don’t care about you, so take this self development advice seriously because no one is going to have your own back like you do.

It’s really all about your risk tolerance, are you willing to risk big and get bigger rewards back? Or are you one of those people who are okay with low risks and low rewards?

You get out what you put in, and just like anything else it’s your choice to make. So are you going to go big or buy a home?

The key to a happy life starts by practicing self awareness. If you’ve ever wondered if your happiness could be more than it is then it’s time to practice and perfect your self awareness.

The minute you become more self aware is the minute you’ll be hollering for that ride to happiness instead of that Taxi of disappointment. So next time you’re feeling down, remember to be more self aware and catch that ride to happiness.

If you want to know how to ask for a raise then you need to understand actions speak louder than words. Your actions need to make you invaluable to the company, meaning the company will do anything to keep you.

Remain stagnant in your job and you’ll be wondering how to ask for a raise for the rest of your life. At the end of the day actions speak louder than words and it’ll be yelling “Give me a raise” to your bosses.

If you can’t find your passion in life always chasing a quick buck, that’s precisely how long it implies it’ll last. Practice finding your passion and making it your #1 priority, and wealth will follow in its footsteps.

The key to having a productive day starts with you. If you can’t just show up with these simple self improvement tips then you’ve given up on a productive day right there.

You have to conquer yourself first if you want to conquer the world in front of you, when you do that every day will be a productive day and you won’t be looking up self improvement tips on Youtube anymore to do it.

How do you build a winning team?

It takes thinking beyond just yourself and asking yourself "How do I make others around me successful?", "What does success mean to them?", etc. These kinds of questions are how you start to build a winning team.

It's about creating an environment that breeds success and innovation, where employees are empowered to do so every day.

Nothing feels better than helping my employees fulfill their dreams and get what they want out of life. And being part of that makes it a big reward in and of itself.

To scale a small business requires a specific kind of entrepreneur. An entrepreneur who wants to go from $0 to millions needs to replace themselves within the business.

If you find yourself stuck in your business, unable to get to other tasks, unable to focus on bigger picture ideas, you won’t be able to scale your business.

At some point you have to be willing to sacrifice your own pay to replace yourself, similar to the risk you took with starting a business, knowing it will pay off down the line.

How I manifested my dream life is based on a few events I had to go through in the past. Regardless, playing the game of life and how to play it is what it comes down to, you have to play it to know the fundamentals and work your way from there.

There’s no cheat codes in this game, although others may get a head start, the game of life favors no one. If you know how to play it, you’ll get one step closer to knowing how to manifest your dream life.

Transforming your morning routine into an everyday routine is where you want to start if you want stability. A day in my life consists of routines, rituals and stability, because as a leader you need stability.

Without stability, randomity takes over which means you have less control of your life and environment. If you want stability in your life it all starts with you implementing a routine you’re comfortable with and improving on it.

The billionaire luxury lifestyle acts as a motivation in and of itself, so if you’re wondering what it takes to visualize and create that billionaire lifestyle for yourself, whether you’re starting in 2022 or later, take note.

People always look at these billionaires and wonder how they got there, was it skill? Knowing the right people? Sure, but none of that matters if you don’t decide and fully commit to being a billionaire. To live the billionaire lifestyle you have to think and act like one.

There is no trick on how to hire the right people for your business. No software or body language observations will tell you the future of your employees in an interview.

You can be straightforward with them to eliminate those that aren’t up for the job. Then follow up by observing their performance. This is coming from someone with a 4% turnover rate, far below the national average.

Learning how to network with successful individuals is very effective long-term. Although there's a caveat, you have to provide value in turn.

If you're trying to network or get advice from a millionaire, make sure you provide something in exchange. Someone who is not valuable is not worth anything per the definition of value.

What are you supplying to meet their demand?

Life was designed to help you get past any obstacle, no matter what it may be, and keep you moving forward.

We all have different obstacles that come up in our lives, but the key is to take away their power over us by understanding them and using them as opportunities for growth.

Have you ever heard someone successful say "I got where I'm at from playing it safe"? No, they embraced the ups and downs.

That's the trick, you have to be willing to take what life throws at you with a smile and just keep trucking.

Maybe you're looking for a good deal, or maybe you’re ready to hire some new employees. Either way - stop right there!

See? That’s exactly what a reasonable person would say, “stop, don’t do that, are you sure?”

Being reasonable gets us nothing but heartache and headaches. You want something? Then go out and get it!

Feel like life hasn’t been fair to you? Don’t play that game. Find a game you are willing to play and change your circumstances.

You determine your destiny, not the other way around.

Figuring out how to make 100K easily is more straightforward than it may seem. Still, very few individuals choose to apply themselves.

When it comes to getting ahead in the workplace, there are a few ways you can go about it.

It's not about kissing up to your boss or being subject to everyone in your workspace. It takes a level of self-reflection and then getting to work!

At the end of the day you're responsible for you, so treat yourself like it.

If you're unhappy you're not going to help out anyone, so your happiness and success start with you, and only you.

The idea of someone else making you happy is misconstrued and dangerous to think about, not because happiness is bad but because solely relying on someone else to make you happy is dangerous.

The mindset of high achievers requires you to use self actualization. What does that mean? That means you realize you have the talents and potential to become who you want to become.

And that's where it all starts, mindset. The mindset of high achievers begins with self actualization that transitions into using your abilities to make goals come to life.

Start putting your attention on yourself and your business.

When you take charge of your life, you become an asset to others. Just like you create assets in business, you can create assets in life, including yourself!

If you can't sell everyone, then you can't sell anyone; that's the cold hard truth when it comes to both personal and business life.

Start taking charge of your life by making yourself worth something of value and reap the rewards of your actions.

Are the people you surround yourself with encouraging you and bringing out the good qualities in you?

When it comes to your friends or acquaintances you always have two choices, stick around them or stay away from them.

It's time to get serious with yourself, and it won't be easy but trust me: these decisions will pay off exponentially later on so stop reminiscing about old memories and make an executive decision, YOUR future depends on it.

The company you keep determines your future, essentially: surround yourself with winners! You are the average of the people you surround yourself with.

That's how life works. You become what your environment presents to you unless you do something about it.

Take a look at who you surround yourself with and really be honest, asking yourself, "Am I the average of them?"

Materialism and Competency are very different from each other. But should entrepreneurs practice these to a point of consumerism?

You’ve probably seen people drive their Lamborghinis at some point and thought, “That’s Materialistic,” but do you know what they did to get that car? Do you know what that kind of opportunity to take care of their families can do?

Don’t get me wrong, with all that money, being selfless is admirable to a certain point, but when you choose to help those deserving close to you, that’s a sign of genius.

A successful man is a happy man, this goes for everybody including myself, but how do we really get there? We set our major goals.

I love to put the work in every day for my team because I know they're there to support me in achieving my main goal of providing value to the masses.

Life is full of trials and tribulations, but how you overcome them and pull
inspiration from it to motivate you in the future is the key. How others get over those hard times and learn from them inspires me most.

What is the definition of success, really? Is it money, or a fast car? For me, success never consisted of material things. It's all about connection and being dialed into every facet of life. You can have all the material wealth and be depressed, so I define it a little differently than what you might think.
