Our Journey To Food Freedom -050 - Rini Frey
One of the key things that helped me in my journey was seeing that it was possible to be happier in my life in a larger body and that I could truly find freedom on the other side of recovery.
Social media which had been my enemy for a long time, having fallen into the compare and despair game, quickly became my savior as I sought out other accounts of women speaking about diet culture, educating on intuitive eating and looking so damn happy while simply living their life without restriction.

A Candid Conversation On Body Size Privilege - 047 - Taryn Raine
We often want what we don't have because we think we'll be happier once we get it, but is that true?
My entire life I chased my "dream body" which for me meant a smaller body thus requiring weight loss. Since this always alluded me I was truthfully resentful towards other petite women and as a result, I wouldn't be their friend. Over the years I have rewritten this once all-consuming narrative and today want to share with you how I circumnavigated it as well as what the same issue can feel like when you're on the other end of the body size spectrum.
In this episode, I have an open and honest conversation with my small and petite friend Taryn Raine on what life is ACTUALLY like being in a smaller body.

Healing My Relationship With Food Was Just The Beginning - Mili Velikova - 036
My guest this week is someone who I've had the absolute joy of watching transform over the last few months.
Mili Velikova is a previous client of mine and a graduate of my 'Craving Food Freedom 1:1 Coaching Program. We worked together to understand and overcome a lot of her issues surrounding food but more importantly, we dug deep and really got to discover the root cause behind these issues.

Yes It's Common... No It's NOT Normal - 028
When something is common, we recognize that we are not alone and that others also deal with this problem as well... But we can't get that confused with what is normal. Normal implies that we are ordinary, that nothing needs to change and that we should continue on living the way we are.
Here's the thing however, until we are shown evidence or talk about what is normal, then by default we consider what is common around us as normal.

Food Psychology 101: It's All About The "Why" - Joni Seeto - 027
We are asking ourselves the wrong question when it comes to our eating habits. We need to shift our focus to "why" we're eating instead of "what" we're eating.
It is not uncommon for us to search for happiness in all the wrong places and Joni Seeto was no exception. Joni who struggled binge and emotional eating, falsely thought that she was the only one who couldn't stick to a diet and for years believed she could achieve happiness through external things.
Growing up in Belgium Joni never learned how to process her feelings and used food to cope which ultimately led to being put on a diet from an early age. Now Joni is an eating psychology coach living in Australia where she works to bring awareness around binge and emotional eating and shares with others how to recover from disordered eating.

"When grounded in self-love everything will be ok"
As a former professional dancer living in Prague, Lola was dancing herself to the breaking point when rehearsing upwards of 12 hours a day. In her late 20s her body finally forced her to pay after years of living in a "Spartan mentality and her life collapsed around her. She was dealing with extreme pain and was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia also known as the "suicide disease", in addition to dealing with an eating disorder, injuries and chronic food allergies. After having a powerful, moving and enlightening experience in her own body, she was convinced that she needed to keep fighting for her life and thus began her journey to self love.
Lola is now a researcher, educator, self-love coach, happiness coach, and Movement/Play therapist who now helps women to reconnect with the wisdom of their body.

"Everyone has a little love affair in Bali" is the famous quote from the book “Eat, Pray, Love” that Elizabeth Gilbert wrote in 2006 and later adapted to the movie with Julia Roberts… I was no exception to this, I too had my own little love affair here in Bali.
But mine didn’t quite end the same way as the book or the movie... In fact it ended in a breakup which I could not be happier about. No sarcasm, I am so happy that my love affair ended because I learned so much about myself in the process.
