The principle that humans either run away from pain or run towards pleasure. We expand on this principle and discuss how when humans run away from pain they go further and faster than they would if they were running towards pleasure. We also expand on that principle even further and discuss how when we can make the mindset shift in our brain to go from running away from something into hunting something down we are likely to achieve the best results and experience the most focus and flow in our commitments.

(Loneliness) Being alone is completely normal and natural; we are complete in our alone state. Loneliness is simply a feeling of being in the dark and being disconnected. Lovers can become strangers and anyone can become lonely. Overcoming loneliness is as simple as turning on the light. Except, the light must be worked for. Walking through a dark room? It is going to be challenging to find the light switch but it’s completely doable. Need money to pay the electricity bill? Your gonna have to work for the money to turn the lights on, but you can do it.

Anytime paralyzing perfectionism grabs hold remember this: "the gifts I have are important and they were

given to me for a reason so it’s my responsibility to find every reason to use and share

them." Stop, read that again, it’s important! Paralyzing perfectionism is the opposite of that

statement. We have the POWER to deem our work successful and until we do that no one

else will have the opportunity to experience the fruits of our success for themselves. If you

are whole and complete why wouldn’t your ideas and your creations be the same. If your

an ever expanding constant in a sea of change why wouldn’t your creations be expanding

and evolving along with you. Change is wonderful and so are you.

(A.) What habits are blocking my gift? 

(B.) What is the payoff of putting these habits aside to share my gift? 

(C.) What is the cost of NOT being generous with my gifts? 

(D.) Get clear on WHY and take the next big step.

I am starting to feel anxious and my anxiety levels are rising: Consider that anxiety is nothing more  then a signal that something is out of alignment. With practice we can begin to feel where exactly  the anxiety is at in our body and breathe into it. Feeling, breathing and getting present are  natural remedies for anxiety

Anytime I feel fed up with the process and want to give up! The most important thing to remember is

“BE HERE NOW.” Getting back into the present moment takes the mind off of all the “what ifs”

and the “should haves” thus allowing us to experience total POWER. These questions will help us

to navigate our way back to the present and ultimately build our faith to trust. 

Wonder Exercise: 

(A.) What am I holding onto that no longer serves me? 

(B.) What physical pains can you feel and hear in your body? Physical pains is the universe telling you something is out of balance. 

(C.) Outlining is when we tell the universe what is best for us and how it should happen, but this level of force comes at a cost. Ask yourself “Am I flowing or forcing?” 

(D) What can you release now to experience more flow in the moment?

Discussed in this episode:

When triggers grab hold of you and your blood may start to boil or you just feel overly grateful.  When anger strikes we have the option to suppress or avoid it, let it go, act out or simply ACT ON that surge of energy. Most people tend to do the first three options or to vent when they are angry. Consider that venting is the worse thing one can do. A more powerful and constructive form of dealing with anger is to act on it with assertion, not aggression and to lead with LOVE not fear.

Wonder Exercise: (TACK) T= Trigger, A= Action, C= Consequence, K= Knowing – So first lets ask (T) “what triggered me to feel angry?” followed by (A) “what action do I want to take immediately as a result?” Next step is considering (C) “what might be the (+/-) consequences of my action?” The last thing to do is to get clear and knowing with absolute certainty (K) “What do I really want for me, for the other party and for both of us in this situation?”

T.) My anger is triggered by 

A.) The action I want to take immediately after being triggered is 

C.) A positive and a negative consequence of my action might be 

K.) I know that I want 

*Remember getting WHAT I WANT is more important than being right*

Jealousy stems from overall feelings of lack and scarcity or jealousy can be a need for attention. Anytime I experience jealousy it is because either I’ve fallen into a scarcity mindset or I haven’t given myself enough love and attention.  A lot of times when we are Jealous its because we feel we are entitled to something that we deserve. In reality we aren't entitled to anything and we only deserve what we are committed to!

Wonder Exercise: (F.R.O.W.N) When did I last FEEL jealous? How did I RESPOND? What was the OUTCOME of my response? What do I really WANT in this situation or with this person right now more than anything? What is the NEXT action I am committed to taking?

When guilt and shame hit they hit hard: Anytime I feel guilt or shame my mind goes straight to thinking or saying “I did something bad or I am bad” and even worse “I feel bad so I have to fix it or I feel bad so I should hide,” Guilt and shame can be toxic and spread inside of our being fast like a wildfire spreading over ACRES of forest land.

Getting ahead looks like being competitive, outcome focused, over disciplined to the point of force, stuck on a to do list and having a need to do more, be better or go faster. Coming alive looks like being collaborative, process driven, enthusiastic and playful, focused on being instead of doing and having a need to learn and grow. 2.) Box Breathing  - Box breathing, also known as square breathing, is a technique used when taking slow, deep breaths. What does it mean to "wonder more worry less?"

No more holding back from exploring our divine self, following our true hearts desire and focusing on what matters most. We don’t have to listen to that voice in our head that tells us we’re “not enough.” I’d like to invite you on a 22-day challenge that will allow you the space to experience who you truly are without all the fear and doubt. Wonder more worry less is your opportunity to awaken your natural childlike curiosity, courageously tap into your source energy and compassionately connect with your truth. By the time you complete the challenge you will have unlocked your potential for loving yourself, connecting to your inner voice of truth, living by faith and getting shit done. 

I’d like you to consider that we all have two voices inside of us, the voice of wonder and the voice of worry. In order to successfully accomplish this 22-day challenge we are going to need to connect with both our voice of wonder and our voice of worry; but you have the choice to wonder more and worry less. My intention is to give you tools and strategies from my personal experiences to empower you along this journey and beyond.

Wonder whose your hero?

What is a hero?

Hero (Noun) - a person who exemplifies great courage. (Listen to rest of episode or check Merriam Webster for all the definitions

My first hero was my Dad, my second hero was Mark McgWire, my third Hero was Bill Romanowski and guess what they've all let me down at some point or another. Heroes are humans so they have shortcomings, they make mistakes and we can't expect them to be perfect.

Which is why.....

My hero today is myself but not me NOW but rather the version of myself 10 years from now. I may let him down but I know for certain he will not let me down. That is the hero, the version I will forever be trying to hunt down. 

Todays Exercise:

1.) Go to a place that you vividly recall BEING at approximately 10 years prior, that you can see yourself coming back to 10 years in the future.

2.) Meditate on your past self 10 years from now, imagine that the current version of you is the hero that the past version from 10 years ago was seeking.

3.) Write a letter of kindness, gratitude, appreciation, respect, forgiveness admiration and truth to that past self from 10 years ago and sign it Your Hero, (your name)

4.) Now in the same location do a similar mediation where you envision your future self 10 years from now. (That is your Hero, that you are hunting down) What has he done, what does he say, what are his thoughts and feelings?

5.) From that higher version of you 10 years in the future write a letter of truth to your current self thanking him for all he did to get you to that future self. Be honest, genuine, kind, understanding and loving in this letter. Sign it your hero (your name)

Today's episode is going to be called WonderWall and it was inspired by the 1995 Oasis Rock song called WonderWall, heres the chorus from the song "because maybe your gonna be the one that saves me and after all you're my wonderwall"

With that verse in mind the principle of today's podcast episode is "we are not savior's and no one is coming to save you" I'll dive more into that principle later on into the show.

I told a short story/fable I made up in here so enjoy, it's a fun one with a good message!

The concept of this new segment is that it's sort of like an AMA or a Q&A but the only way these segments work is if you the listener interacts and submits your thought's or questions. Literally you can ask me anything about personal development, life, whats trending, current events, or just share your personal wonder's and random thoughts throughout the day. The point behind this Wonder of YOU segment is that wonder is not only individual but also collective so this is an opporunity for us all to collectively experience wonder together.

In this episode the host Jason shares the principle that was revealed after an angry phone call he had with a friend from his old fantasy football league. The principle is "someone who calls is someone who cares," 

We use this principle as a prime example of mirroring and dive deep into the concept of mirroring. 

"Friends hold a mirror up to eachother; through that mirror they can see eachother in ways that would not otherwise be accessible to them, and it is this mirroring that helps them improve themselves as persons."  -Aristotle

An exercise taught in this episode to help with mirroring within oneself is: (The Qualities of a Friend) exercise, basically, write down or think about your 10 closest friends and think of a quality each of them has that you admire. Write down that quality or think about it and take a second to be loving and kind and compassionate to yourself, as you do this begin to witness and experience that same quality within yourself.

In this episode the host Jason B. Godoy recaps the 3 biggest takeaways that he received from the interview he did with Tamara Smith of the Grieving Mind on loss, grief and the transition process. The 3 biggest takeaways were:

1. "Spelling" is called spelling for a reason because our words have the powers to cast spells. We discussed visualization and I connected this to the process of using lofty questions along with affirmations to place more power behind our words.

2. "5 Love Languages" - Tamara mentioned how beneficial it may be to know a person's primary and secondary love languages as a way to best support them during their grieving process. This is a huge golden nugget. I am familiar with the 5-love languages but I never thought of the Idea to apply it to friendships and other secondary relationships outside of my primary relationships like parents, siblings, partners. Another key was that if we don't know our friend's love languages supporting them is as easy as asking them "how can I best support you during this time?"

3. "The Wonder of Hope" - The overall message and theme of our conversation was that wonder is hope. For some people who are deep in the grief process and experiencing extensive states of sadness and depression they may not be able to find any hope in the moment. Without hope it's easy to get lost in the pit of darkness and not find anything positive that will help push us forward even just 1 more day. So if someone is unable to find Hope you have to start somewhere so why not start by simply wondering? There is so much hope to be found in wondering.

9/10/2020 is international Suicide Awareness Day

In this episode the host shares with you the acronym "F.A.C.T.S" to help us all be aware of someone that may be exhibiting suicidal tendencies. In this episode the host breaks down the concept of time blocking. He shares how prior to time blocking he used “To-Do” lists and his to-do lists would constantly keep growing and growing. The worst part was the overwhelming feeling of seeing the to-do list grow and grow, while not being able to see the distractions and triggers that we’re keeping him from completing tasks and making traction towards his goals. Time blocking has proven to be an effective tool used by many people for maximizing productivity, tracking patterns of unnecessary distractions and habits that do not serve our bigger goals. This episode was inspired by the interview I did with my daughter Heartleigh on her 9th birthday. Normally I do a recap of the 3 most valuable points contributed by each guest but this time I wanted to do something different. I listened to the episode to find a golden nugget for myself that would be able to help everyone else as well. 

The universal principle shared in the episode is "you can only take them as far as your willing to go."

The lesson learned in this episode is I can only lead Heartleigh to lead herself as far as I am willing to lead myself and lead the inner child within me. 

I share with you an inner child exercise you can do called "7 Minutes in the Mirror"

"7 Minutes in the mirror" seemed like it was going to be easy. I thought it was going to be like 7 minutes in heaven, but it actually started out as 7 minutes in hell. Than it went to 7 minutes of realness, followed by 7 minutes of love and finished as 7 minutes of excitement and motivation.

Here is the exercise: (Stand in the mirror for 7 minutes COMPLETELY NAKED)

- Minute 1 - look outwardly at all your imperfections (body fat, dislikes, small penis and all)

- Minute 2 - look outwardly at all your blemishes, scars, scrapes, dislikes

- Minute 3 - FEEL outwardly all the pains in your body

- Minute 4 - FEEL inwardly at your inner body functions, pains, health, digestive problems etc.

- Minute 5 - Look inwardly at your inner child and see them, see their pains, body dislikes, smile, etc.

- Minute  6 - FEEL inwardly, feel your inner child, feel the love, the kindness, the compassion, the joy, the WONDER

- Minute 7 - Reverse Engineer the process and watch your inner child grow back into the current version of you, watch yourself grow into the next greater version and evolution of YOU.

In today's episode the host Jason poses the question: "Are you even playing in the right league?"

A lot of times in our life we start in one league or one level of something and as we begin to master this level/league we get so comfortable that we don't even notice how easy things have gotten. We keep playing at that same level even though our skills have progressed beyond that. 

Once we realize it we have a question to ask ourselves, "do I want to continue being King of the shitheads?"

Or..

Am I ready to move on to a higher level of play and start off as a rookie or a prince whose looking to conquer a new kingdom and build a new castle?

In this episode we referred back to the principle shared by Tyla Barnes in episode #69 with Phemibox. Tyla mentioned how we need to evaluate our circles and determine who our 5 closest friends are. As she said "if your 5 closest friends are being negative and talking shit, I guarantee you that you will be the 6th."

Stay tuned until the very end of the episode where you will learn the "beach ball principle" and how this perspective tool can be applied to you every day life. The beach ball principle is a tool that allows us to objectively see other peoples point of views and not adopt their opinions, beliefs or thoughts onto ourselves unless we determine it something worth exploring deeper.

We talked about what it feels like to have a "quarantine birthday" during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic and the lock down we were experiencing. 

We then went into the future and envisioned what a 10 year old birthday party without COVID would look like. Heartleigh shared what she imagines her life is going to look like at all the milestone ages (13, 15,16 and 18) before she becomes an adult. At the beginning of the show I share with you a poem that my cousin Sonia Godoy @cuca_racha on IG helped me create in 7th Grade and it turned out this poem was published in the accolade magazine. The poem is titled "Complete Confusion," not only does it tie into this episode but I believe it reflects that I was a wonderer at even such a young age.

In today's episode the host shares with you the concept of Primal Dance. 

Primal dance is an opportunity to reunite with the Universal Father and Universal Mother (the source energy) that resides within in all of us. This energy is essentially our breath of life and it can guide us and show us the way. When we dance, we awaken the Universal energy in ourselves and understand that it is Cosmic Consciousness. Primal dancing also allows us to attune ourselves to our own personal healing powers and to awaken the deep rooted creative energies within us. 

When I first started primal dancing it was as simple as meditating and sitting still followed by free form movement of the hips and the limbs up until I felt collected and grounded enough to release a primal scream or yell and concluding with some slow meditative tai-chi style movements.

It doesn't have to be complicated and the most important part is to remember to just have fun! To be in the moment and experience it fully so that you can be connected to your whole and complete self.
