It's about raising awareness of Mental Health especially in Scotland as every day two people sadly take their own lives. The podcast will be Val, Chez and myself Richie talking on a weekly basis on what matters to us and what we hope and think can make a difference. Though mainly we will be focusing on Men's Mental Health as Men are still to this day reluctant to talk about their issues. If this podcast saves one life then it's been worthwhile.
On our twelfth podcast we chatted with Fraser McPherson Lib Dem Councillor for Dundee West End plus also Kirsty Oliphant ex Dundee United FC Footballer as we chatted about Mental Health and the effects of Covid-19 and also how much Dundee needs a Crisis Centre plus the weekly Consult Chez and Poems.
This week's Podcast we had our weekly Consult with Chez feature, then our Guising for the Samaritans Walk on Friday Night. Also we spoke with Lynne Short SNP Councillor for Dundee and also a Great Friend and Colleague of ours Paul Murphy the Balgay Hill Bar Landlord. Plus we spoke about the advantages of Meditation and our regular Poets Corner plus some useful phone numbers and apps to help people to help themselves.
This week Richie, Val and Chez spoke about their forthcoming Halloween costume walk on Friday 30th October from Kirkcaldy, More fab Poems, effects of Social Media good and ill plus some Bluesy song lyrics with more important numbers. Even on such serious subjects we still were able to have a few laughs.
Today's extra special Podcast we had two guests. Calum Woodger Sports Journalist for the Dundee Evening Telegraph, Courier and Sunday Post. Also Greg Fenton DFC Community Trust Manager. Both guests spoke eloquently about what can help for folk suffering with Mental Health issues . Also more fab poems.
At the Rio in Newport on Tay our Agenda was talking about our Halloween Walk. The Samaritans and how listeners can help. Also Richie spoke about his upbringing and how his Mental Health affected him and how he moved on. We also spoke about writing therapy particular Poems. We ended this week's Podcast talking about our walk on Saturday in the rain and this week's forthcoming walk.
This week our third episode we met up thanks to the fantastic folk at the Rio Centre in Newport on Tay. Chez spoke about her Self Harm and we also spoke with Euan Roberts from Andy Man's Club Dundee. Plus Val's 50th birthday at the Balgay and Lucas-jak chaired the Podcast.
Today's Podcast we set out a agenda of what we wanted to express our opinions on though we are not saying we are experts, but we have work and personal experience. Subjects we covered include Care in the Community, No mmm's, Covid-19 and the Event of the Year. The three of us found todays podcast emotional and fulfilling plus so much fun.
