This is part I of our conversation with Laura; Founder of The bug picture. We discuss insects as a sustainable protein alternative in animal feeds. She tells us about their work in regenerative agriculture using Black Soldier Flies larvae to compost organic waste in the home to get bio-fertilizers. The larvae can then be harvested and used as livestock feed. She is also working to mainstream use of desert locusts in animal feed production to mitigate losses to farmers.
