Washed Gods
By The Washed Gods
Each week we begin with a “washed moment” in which we choose a moment in the week when we feel over the hill. Combine that with the most interesting stories of the week and you have the “Washed Gods”.

The Gods have returned! Draft and Sean are back and more WASHED than ever, on this episode we say R.I.P to Atlanta legend Trouble, congratulate the Golden State Warriors on their 4th NBA championship and discuss the Crypto Crash.
Don't Call Me A Rapper
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Another week in the book. Sean & Draft are still scratching & surviving. “Hood Times”.
Taji still with us in spirit. We’ve been working on staying more consistent.
The crime wave in LA (and nation wide if we’re being honest) has the attention of the news media & law enforcement. The police in LA took the time to warn travelers, not to come to LA because they can’t guarantee their safety. Could they ever? That’s another pod for another date.
Travis Scott had a sit down with Charlemagne Tha God. We’re not sure if it helped his case but it was something to watch. So we talked about it.
Hertz rental car company is under fire because of a number of customers being pulled over and being accused of stealing rental cars. Approximately 165 incidents involving rentals & the police. A shady set of circumstances that have them in legal trouble.
The nation is currently in the midst of a labor shortage. The pandemic has had people accustomed to working from home. If at all. And now no one wants to return to the “status quo”. Making America great hasn’t looked so bleak.
That’s about it. What we’ve been watching and listening round out the episodes. Washed moments. You know the drill. Washed. Never Washed Up.
The Brouhaha
What’s up Gods and Goddesses?!!? Guess who’s bizack?!?
“You still smell the pod on our clothes?” Anyway this was a slow news week so we kept it short as well . Sean’s been biding his time until he makes his next move, while Draft considers a different kind of move.
We talked about the fight that transpired between Bone thugs N Harmony and 3-6 mafia during verzuz and Draft gives his take on the Hulu Astroworld doc and plenty more!!

Death .... and Other Things
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Another week in paradise. Sean and Draft have been going through the motions. Taji is still on hiatus. We’ll keep this short and sweet.
We lost Malikah Shabazz & Virgil Abloh since our last pod. We gave our condolences & talked about the effects of all this loss during an already stressful 4th quarter.
The holiday season is upon us. And people are faker than ever. All the bad music & insincere giving is at its height. We hate it. We talked about it. Not much else there.
Three 6 Mafia & Bone Thugs In Harmony (gotta say the whole thing out of respect) are the next two groups selected to do a “Verzuz” with Swizz & Timbo. Our predictions are Triple 6 by a landslide, but we’ll see. The Gods are going to start doing our own Verzuz-esque head to head music battle. Stay tuned.
Last but not least… If you haven’t noticed, we debate a lot. This week’s debate was “What define’s a sport?” Does it have a ball? What’s the goal? Do you have to have equipment? We never came to a conclusion.

The Freestyle 2
Episode 83| Oatmeal Cream Pies
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Welcome back gods & goddesses. This week we bring you episode 83. We’re back in a groove again. And it feels good. Sean has been rediscovering his youth through concerts & conflict. Draft has been on his existential soap box and has discovered what his threshold on “discovery” is. Taji… had a week.
This week was wild in general. Alec Baldwin caught a body on the set of the movie Rust. Director of Photography Halyna Hutchins was killed in the tragic accident. Another person on set was injured. The subject became a discussion about unions & Hollywood families.
Colin Powell died. We didn’t do or say much in regards to our sentiments on his passing. Take that how you will.
In another turn of unfortunate events, rappers Oschino & Freeway lost sons this past week in Philadelphia. We expressed our sympathy.
Last but not least, we remember Black Lives Matter, right? No? They raised a bunch of money for families who lost loved ones to gun violence and liberated African Americans from the oppression of the militarized police force. Only part of this explanation is factual. Money was raised. But we ain’t heard about a family helped or seen a police department disassembled on account of BLM yet. One of the founders bought a house though. Modest 7 figures. Since then we’ve been wondering if black lives still “matter” like they used to?

Covid Coat
Washed Gods. Washed Never Washed Up. What up Gods & Goddesses? The gang is back! 100% & ready to vent! We’ve been busy the past few weeks. Sean made his return to the couch after a long work week. Draft & Taji held it down last episode.
Ben Simmons returns to the 76er’s after holding out for the beginning of camp. We talked about the possible reasons why & who might play first. Ben Simmons or Kyrie Irving?
Speaking of Kyrie, he’s not playing this season due to New York’s vaccine mandate for people who attend public gatherings. His stance on vaccines is not a surprise based on his previous takes on NBA policies, players relationships with the media, & flat earth. He just fits the description of the “unvaccinated”.
We doubled back on Dave Chappelle’s latest stand-up special. Just to get an all around pod perspective.
Jon Gruden recently resigned as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after some emails were discovered during an investigation of the Washington Football Team. They were everything you’d expect from white head football coach. Anti-Kapernick quotes. Homophobic rhetoric. The whole nine yards.
William Shatner aka Captain Kirk went to space. That’s it. Jeff Besos is turning space flight into the new rich version of sky diving.
What we’ve been watching & listening to round out this episode. Washed Moments in the mix. “All The World’s Ill’s”.

The Boombox Guy
Washed Gods. Washed Never Washed Up.
We’re back. In part. Draft has returned with Taji to update the Gods & Goddesses on the podcast. Sean’s been out the way, but will be back soon. This week we kept it short and sweet.
Facebook went out for a few hours and the world went to twitter to talk about the conspiracy theories. Social media history became the theme on the overall topic. Tumblr. The “Fail” Whale. The dependency and addiction.
A number of NBA players have been indicted on charges of insurance fraud. If “sloppy work” was a news story. Apparently the case went federal. Free the guys!
Mike Tyson stepped in different kind of black fist recently. Dr. Umar challenged him to a boxing match because of a conversation Mike & Freddie Gibbs were having about his views on white people.
Speaking of white people. Dave Chappelle’s latest stand up special had a clear and concise point. Which we won’t spoil, but its stirred up some interesting conversations. His views come from a specific time. We discussed the nuance of his bits based on his era of comedy & life in general.
What we’ve been watching & listening to in the mix. Washed Moments of course. Thanks for watching/listening… Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Drizzy Draft
It’s been a long time… We shouldnna left you… It’s the Gods of the Pods. We been trying to stop saying “We’re back once again…”
This is me trying things out. Ep. 80. S/O Jerry Rice. Happy birthday Chop. Another washed year. Drizzy Draft is back to the working world. Sean’s still trying to work his way out. Taji & Warren been working too much. All is well.
The Matrix Trilogy is getting a 4th installment this Christmas. We talked about the roll out and how the dynamic of that concept may have changed over the years.
Andre 3000 made an appearance on a Kanye song that was slated for the Donda album. It ended up not making the cut but he did make a moment.
Lots of music talk this pod.
What we’ve been listening to & watching to round out the pod. Washed moments of course. “All the world’s ill’s…”

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 78! Shout out Bruce Smith. Another week spent in paradise. Draft & Sean been on different timelines but found a way to link up like Loki. And it’s still middle fingers up to the TVA. Speaking of Loki, Marvel has been under fire for under paying its writers. DC too apparently. With the popularity of comic book movies & shows there’s a lot of storylines being used. Very few writers are getting their just due.
Apple recently announced they’ll be scanning users photos for “security reasons”. Something about investigating child abuse cases. But at what point aren’t they just going through your personal information for their own personal use? And who else will be allowed access once they’re in? Questions for Jobs that need answers.
There was another Edgewood shooting over the weekend. Atlanta crime has been on the rise lately. We’ve been able to see it first hand lately. It seems as if it’s getting closer and closer to home. Not sure what to say or do about it in this space. Just make sure you check on your people. And be safe if you’re out here moving and shaking.
MacDonalds have been giving artists meals like deals. Saweetie is the latest entertainer with a meal for customer consumption. Not sure what’s in it. Don’t really care. Call me old fashioned, but I’d much rather Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck sell me my novelty fast food meals. Maybe the 90’s Dream Team, but they’ve got to bring the collectors cups back!
Ended with what we’ve been watching and listening to as always. Washed Moments to round out the pod. Thanks as always for tuning in. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
The hawks are out!
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Welcome back. Welcome BACK! WELCOME BAAAACCCCCKKK!!!!
We missed y’all. This past week was good to the Gods. Vince Knows (@Atl_VinceKnows) had a pop up at Versus (VSAtl) for his brand, and our favorite street wear brand CityInTheWoods (@CITW_Company). Recap via the Washed Gods coming soon.
Da Baby’s still getting a lot flack for his anti-gay rant during Rolling Loud. He’s since then issued a statement and apologies in the fall out. “Gots to be mo’ careful!”
Hollywood celebrities are coming and confessing they don’t bath frequently. Weird flex, but okay.
We did a mock Verzuz for the up coming Lox/Dipset battle. It came. We saw. The Lox conquered. We discussed the parallels in our battle & the real one. What made it stand out among Verzuz. Took a tangent down Old Head Ln. sharing mixtape memories.
And last but not least, Kanye West had another listening in Mercedes-Benz stadium. Another live stream and no album to show for it. Are we living in a movie plot? Is this an art piece? How do you feel about the album not dropping? Questions!

Manifesting With Phyllis Iller
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. We’ve been going strong with the interview portion of our podcast. This week we sat down with photographer & content creator Melissa Alexander. Also known as Phyllis Iller. She’s known us for a long time. A friend of working class music group and all the aspects of our creative clan. So this interview came very naturally. We talked about her creative process, pre & post pandemic. How she’s shaped her portfolio around highlighting black people & intimacy. What parts of her creativity come from her upbringing? How her life and work balance makes teaching points for her daughter about structure? And how she’s moving forward and expanding in a creative space. Really enjoyed sitting with her and talking through her experience and creative process. Follow her on social media @Phyllis.iller IG. Go check out her site at https://www.phyllisiller.com/info. Make sure you like, subscribe, and share. Stay Black.
Spacesos
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Ep. 74. It’s been a long week. Lots of pods this month. A few more guests. Keeping the productivity high. We talked about the Frito Lay strike. Apparently employees have been working “suicide shifts” in which they’ve been required to work overtime for the past 5 months. Employees have been hurt on the job & poorly compensated for their injuries. One person passed away on the job.
We talked about Jeff Besos in space. He and Richard Branson are in the news cycle recently for being rich and making use of their fortunes the best way they knew how. Flexing on the rest of humanity.
Speaking of fortunes.
Dr. Dre has been ordered to pay his ex-wife 300K a month in divorce settlement. We discussed this before on an older episode. This was just a recap of the types of conversations we’ve heard swirling around this topic. And how much 300,000 a month REALLY is to a billionaire
What we’ve been watching and listening to in the mix. Washed Moments of course. “All the world’s ills…” Like. Subscribe. Share. STAY BLACK.
Du-Rag Era
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 72. S/O William “Refrigerator” Perry. “Mo Pods… Mo Problems…” This week with “The Gods” we kept it short & to the point. *Full disclosure… we did a pod right before this so we didn’t recap our week. “Two tears in a bucket.”*
We talked about the silent war on media that’s being waged behind the third wall of sport-casting. The Rachel Nichols/Maria Taylor controversy was the launch point for the dialogue. Be prepared for racially motivated takes.
We jumped into the minimum wage debate. No real answers here. Shit rolls down hill. This is one of those topics that needs to be fixed from the top down.
Last but not least. D-Block & Dipset announced that they’d be going head to head in a Versuz. We held our own “Washed Gods: Versuz”! It was AMAZING. Made us finally get excited about a Versuz. We’ll probably do another one of these if the stars align.
No Washed Moments this week. Blame the mind not the heart. What we’ve been watching & listening to rounded out the pod. Thank you to all the Gods & Goddesses that have been rocking with us. Like. Subscribe. Share. STAY BLACK.
Ninja College with Sean Fahie
What up Gods & Goddesses? We’re back. Your friendly neighborhood Washed Gods. We’ve been bringing you quality content for close to 100 episodes now. Just us. All bars. No hooks. But as we learn & grow, we’ve started sitting down with the people around us that motivate us to operate at a higher level of efficiency. Enter our next guest, the one, the only, Sean Fahie.
We’ve known Sean in passing for some years now. As an artist, writer, entrepreneur, and “Rennissance Man”. But we’ve never had the pleasure of asking him how he acquired all these hats metaphorically speaking.
We talked about how he came to love art. What made him choose this particular medium (visual arts/graphic design) over his other talents or career choices?
How he feels about the Atlanta arts scene & his peers? And how he’s branched off in ways that make him unique in the art world.
He came with a lot of game & a lot of laughs. We enjoyed this pod way too much. And didn’t even even get to all the questions we had for him. He’ll definitely be back for another episode. If you’re an independent artist looking for a inspirational story about overcoming obstacles. This is your pod. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Oh yeas… Washed. Never Washed Up.

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. It feels good to be back *Draft Voice*! It’s been a long week. Sean recent left his job and is in the process of getting ready for another one. Draft has been structuring his free time so he feels less stagnant. Hence the up tick in podcasts lately. Both of us have been fighting our inner bitch with our secular endeavors.
Zaila Avant-Garde made it to our news cycle and we talked about that for a second. She’s a 14 year old African American spelling bee champion. The first to accomplish this feat. Impressive on its own. She’s also an avid hooper. Displaying drills of her dribbling 3 basketballs. Some of which where she’s riding a unicycle. She’s a real bucket & we support her wholeheartedly.
The NYPD is reforming the way they collect & store DNA information. Apparently you don’t have to be convicted of a crime to have you DNA collected & stored for an undisclosed amount of time. This isn’t an accusation of foul play, but it IS something that should be looked at when it comes to implicating suspects in crimes where DNA evidence is the main means of conviction. If you can plant drugs, you could plant DNA. And we all know NYPD has a history of corruption.
Haiti is now under martial law. Their president Jovenel Moise was murdered. His wife was shot & is recovering in a South Florida hospital. We talked about some of the conspiracy theories. American involvement. Etc.
Washed Moments. What we’ve been watching & listening to in the mix. “All the worlds ills…”. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Rikki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. We’re back with another pod. We sat down with our friend Rikki Blu. We sat down and talked about his newest release “6 Rings”. Rikki’s been around is for years. We’ve made music together but we’ve never really sat down and talked about his roots. Why he started making music? What allows him to keep going when things are difficult? A bunch of there cool stuff. Listen to 6 Ring with Rikki Blu x OffKey. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Back like we never left. Another week in the books & the Gods have been busy. Sean has been contemplating employment options. Draft has been doing the same. Both are as enthused about it as you could imagine. Topics this week were right in the pocket. We started off talking about Jay-Z’s lawsuit against Jonathan Mannion & Dame Dash. This is the feud that never ends. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.
Police surveillance has reached a new level of intrusive with there ability to track traffic to a particular place at a particular time. How long has this technology been around? And why are they always testing it out in the hood like fast food? Again. If it ain’t one thing…
Air BNB has been covering up all sorts of potential bad press by paying off victims of crimes while using their clients homes. It makes you wonder what else you don’t know about your Air BNB.
Tik Tok has a new challenge geared toward white women who can fake cry & stop on cue. I’m not going to say anything that doesn’t need to be said. Let’s just agree that this isn’t a surprise to black people. We’re familiar with this bait & switch. RIP Emmitt Till. The conversation broadened out to the idea of censorship online. Companies like Tik Tok, Instagram, & Twitter (NOT YouTube tho) have been known to censor independent content if it supports a narrative they find offensive or disagree with.
The Hawks are in the Eastern Conference finals. We’ll see how this series plays out.
Draft’s Top Tweets has made it back into the rotation. One of our favorite continuing topics.
What we’ve been watching & listening to of course.

Bruce Lee Jr.
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. We’re back. With a guest. Shout out Brian (@Skots55) our friend & family. He owns a boutique & sneaker store in Chattanooga, TN. He sat in with us as our first official guest to catch up & chop it up as a fellow “Washed God”. Taji made his return to the pod. Happy to have him back. Draft spent his week “not complaining”. Sean is still navigating through the troubled waters of his work environment. All & all we’re all well. The city of Atlanta has been wild’n lately. Two shootings in the same week. One at Lenox mall. The other off Candler rd. Atlanta’s crime rate has to be at an all time high. Speaking of “Heights”. The movie “The Heights” is under fire for it’s representation of a certain type of Latin-X people. I.E. Light-skinned & curly haired. How you all feel? Because none of us are watching it. Destiny’s Child is on the hot seat for their song “Cater To You” 17 years after it’s release. The opinion of the day is that the song encourages negative stereotypes about black women. We touched on Clarissa Shields making the transition from Boxing to MMA. And the larger conversation about the future of celebrity fight sports.
What we watched/listened to this week. Washed Moments. “All the World’s Ills…”

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 64. We’ve been doing things. Sean’s been ducking the nonsense in the me work place. Taji wasn’t feeling well this past week. He’ll be back soon. Draft’s been… being Draft. Reflecting on life. All it’s highs, lows, & In between’s. We spent a good amount of time talking about the “War Of Art”. How difficult it is to entertain and be transparent with people on such a regular basis. We talked about Donald Trump’s Facebook ban & what this means for the political climate on social media. The NFL is back into the news cycle due to their practice of “Race Norming” and what it means for black football players. And last but not least, Dr. Fauci is under scrutiny after the leak of confidential emails/documents about the origins of the Covid-19 virus, the details of the vaccine’s effectiveness, and people who may have been incentivized to juke the states. It’s touchy, but we fondled some of the facts. With consent of course. We talked the Hawks & NBA playoff activities. Floyd Mayweather fought one of them Paul Bros. Meh. Boxing is in a weird place. Washed Moments. What we’ve been watching/listening to. “All the world’s ills…” Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Laserdisc Jesus
**This episode was recorded last week*
Welcome back Gods & Goddesses. We just gonna jump right into it. Long Live Ques. We’ve been reminiscing about our little bro all week. Started on a somber note, but we tried to lighten the mood. Sean’s been fighting the urge to lose his composure at work. Draft is slowly becoming an existentialist as time progresses. We traded tactics on staying “un-cancelled” in a society that is afraid of passionate black men. We talked about Sophia Hartman, a white woman who abused her adopted black child by forcing her to undergo hundreds of medical procedures for a perfectly healthy little girl. This is America.
The hundredth anniversary of the Tulsa “Black Wallstreet” massacre. And how we feel about the constant reminders of how they feel about us.
Canada got in on the “Atrocity Olympics” with the discovery of 200+ indigenous peoples bodies at a local school.
ON A LIGHTER NOTE... (sorta)
The NBA playoffs are in full swing and the fans have been begging for another “Malice in the Palace”. Trae Young got spit on in Game 4 in MSG. Russell Westbrook got popcorn thrown at him. Kyrie Irving got a bottle thrown at him as he walked through the tunnel. All white fans. What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained. Draft & Sean argued about the esoteric topic of manifesting & faith, versus work & effort. We got no where.
What we watched & listened to round out the podcast. Of course our washed moments. “All the world’s ill’s...”

Trae Young and the Pips
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Another pod from the gods. A lot’s been happening. Sean spent another week managing personalities on & off the clock. Draft has been spending his time trying to figure out when OnlyFans girls branched off into selling merch. Go figure. This week we covered a lot of sports. Them Hawks had a great playoff opening win against the Knicks. Trae Young had a buzzer beating floater. Much love to the young OG. Domonique Wilkins went to Twitter to convey his disappointment with his experience at a local Atlanta eatery. We talked about the nuances of celebrity status and the stuff that comes with it. Kwame Brown is STILL going in. He’s hitting pedestrians in this beef like he’s got 5 stars on GTA. But he’s making some interesting points. And seems to have an angle on this current 15mins of fame. That being said, he also has merch. We chopped it up about our week & talked about our washed moments. The usual. What we’ve been listening to & watching round out the content. Like. Subscribe. Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 59. We’ve been surviving. Rough week for the “Gods of the Pods”.
Sean has been going through it in his personal life. Draft is no longer a slave to the man... for now (or maybe not). All and all we’re keeping our various plates spinning.
Kanye West & his yeezy brand are under fire for debuting a new logo that’s strikingly similar to the Walmart logo. We’ll see how this plays out. There was more brand beef between Nike & Vanessa Bryant. Looks like she’ll be doing her own line in his name. We talked about the uncanny ability Irv Gotti has to say more than what’s necessary. We talked about Nas & Jay-Z’s (Sorry Not Sorry) new release on DJ Khaled’s latest album. What we’ve been listening to & watching. Washed moments. You know the routine. Thanks for listening. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Doctor Denim
Your friendly neighbor Washed Gods are back again. Episode 58. Shout out to Haze & Warren for stopping by. Another week in paradise. Draft is inching himself closer & closer to a new career. Sean reminisced about his sneaker collecting past. A trip to the strip club and a skate shop in Macon Mall rounded out the week. We talked about Blue Face & his sex dungeon. A NASA executive fraudulently used PPP loans to swipe a spaceship. And last but not least, Rest In Peace Ma’kiah Bryant. Another black person was killed by lawn enforcement. Nothing new but, not a feeling any of us are comfortable getting used to. We’ll see how they try and spin this one. What we’ve watched & listened to throughout the week. Washed Moments. “All the Worlds Ill’s...” Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
Smells Like Riot
Washed Gods. Washed Never Washed Up. We’ve been making it, a pod at a time. Episode 57. Shout out Passenger 57. Wesley Snipes. Demolition Man was a classic. We talked about the dynamics of family. What religion really means. We’ve lost another hip hop legend. RIP Black Rob. Another shooting of a civilian by law enforcement. The conversation evolved into what if anything we can do about gun control. We talked about the Johnson & Johnson’s covid vaccine being recalled due to issues with blood clotting. And the bigger topic of how our healthcare system works. Washed moments. What we’ve been listening to & watching. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.

Wash Gods. Episode 55. Long live Dikembe Mutumbo. Rest In Peace Junior Seau. Sean went the chiropractor for the first time. Wasn’t impressed. Draft has decided the working world isn’t for him. Sean agrees. The week was washed as washed gets. Rest In Peace Elgin Baylor. Lakers legend. Clippers GM for their resurgence in recent years. Known for his flashy style of play and being one of the first players to transition to the NBA after the CBA was assimilated. We talked about the recent shooting that have happened nationwide, including a few here in Atlanta. More “Washed Moments”. What we’ve been listening to & watching. You know the routine by now. Like.
