Welcome to the 4th episode of the Web of Life Animist Summit Podcast. Consider this 70 minute episode as a journey through insights of these Web of Life ministers in the areas of their ministries and lived experiences related to the theme of the summit "Navigating our Onward Journey".
Our request is that you set judgement and the critic within aside and simply listen to each voice and their heartfelt ideas, storytelling and blessings. Each segment is less than 10 minutes, most have been recorded in October 2023, others recorded since 2020.
Subjects addressed by multigenerational ministers include: Practicing land acknowledgment, the oneness of Animism, building personal confidence, queer wisdom, detribalized in-between blessing, protection for trans women of color, post-pandemic isolation, tending grief, 2nd generation holocaust survivor, embodied guided meditation,energy, the 6th extinction, animist pagans, strength in adversity, becoming an elder, animist children, healing parents, end of life joy, we all belong.
Between each segment you will hear a double beat. The episode ends with a poem Quynn wrote 20 years ago and recorded in the early days of digital.

This segment was recorded on October 6, 2023. -After 30 years as a mental health practitioner, Laura Brinkerhoff shares her advice to young practitioners/helpers regarding self care while doing the challenging job of holding space for clients.
-Reohad shares from her experience as the mother of a neurodivergent child and what it has taught her.
-Valerie is an artist and creativity coach, and she shares about intentional creativity and how being creative helps us be agents of change.
-Minister Violette ends our podcast with her poem and piano homage to our current reality of climate crisis and the 6th Extinction.

This particular Sunday is the day after two mass shootings by two white men in 24 hours, in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH. The current Web of Life Animist Ministers in training met this morning, and focused on the subject of Grief. Quynn Red Mountain shared an excerpt from The Smell of Rain on Dust=Grief and Praise by Martin Prechtel. Many prayers to all who are suffering due to this event of domestic terrorism.
