I struggled so much in February because everyday last month was full of disturbing and dehumanizing anti-black events. Things were so hurtful that I shut down and used work as a buffer to get through the days. I thrive off a sense of completion, so I let work carry me and as a result, I had a productive month in which I made decisions that enhanced growth and communication.  I am proud of my work, but March cannot be this way. I want less acts of anti-blackness, less dehumanization and less cooning! I cannot take it anymore! 

I loves me some Gregory Isaacs! He has one of the most melodic and convincing voices of all time. In this episode, I share some of my favorite songs and albums. I also chose violence with my remarks about Reggaeton. Check it out and let me know what you think.

For the final episode in this series, I reached out to Jackson from the 'Rock is Dead' podcast to talk about music. He and Zander have one of my favorite music podcasts because they are witty, sardonic and speak from two different musical points of entry. I thank him for his enthusiasm and love for the school, especially when he encourages HBCU graduates to attend Homecoming.  The story of his cousin who was a roommate and five rules for a successful homecoming are the core of this episode. In this episode, of "Weekend Coffee Guh," a Howard Alumna shares a few of her homecoming experiences. We chat while I sip a glass of Malbec and she smokes a lil smoke. In the end, she gives us her top five rules for a successful homecoming at her beloved Howard University. Listen carefully for the flashing of the lighter. She was serious about the smoke!

In all the research I've done around this topic, I found that most data states that parents are depressed, feel a loss of purpose, and lonely.
