WELL AGED

WELL AGED

By Douglas & McIntyre

The Well Aged Podcast, hosted by Ralph Milton (a "seriously old geezer"), shares the good and the bad of being old, really old! The joy and the pain of it. It's about getting the most out of those platinum years.

This podcast will help the "truly old" tell stories and share insights and ideas to help deal with the crud and enjoy all the blessings. It will also help their kids and the army of caregivers. As Ralph says, "they come every day to give us baths and help us dress and make sure we take our meds. They need to know what it's like to be old.”

The Gift of Life and Death

"I don't have a lot of wise words to give you about death. It's a journey we all face but find it hard to talk about. The wisdom that I have... is found within some stories that I will tell you. And these are stories about deaths that I've witnessed, and which I found inspiring." - Ralph Milton

Aging and Sage-ing: Who am I, now that I’m old?

Aging and Sage-ing: Who am I, now that I’m old?

Why is it that we invest so much of our identity, our sense of who we are, in our jobs? In the work we do?

And what happens when we don't do it anymore?

Getting old provokes a basic conflict we all carry in our guts. We define ourselves by what we used to do.

Now that we can’t do that anymore, who are we?

Introducing the Well Aged Podcast

Introducing the Well Aged Podcast

Ralph Milton, a "seriously old geezer," introduces the Well Aged Podcast, which is primarily geared toward other "very old” people. Those that are so old they might not know what a podcast even is, but they remember those old radio soap operas that were referred to as "broadcasts." Ralph was an actor in some of the worst of them (boy, were they awful!).

Now, more than half a century later, Ralph is doing a podcast, which is just another word for a broadcast, except you get it on the world wide web. And this podcast about being old. It all comes his book on the same subject called Well Aged: Making the Most of Your Platinum Years.

The Well Aged Podcast shares the good and the bad of being old, the joy and the pain of it. It's about getting the most out of those platinum years.

Old age is not for sissies, they say, which is true of course. Old age comes with a load of crud, but also a barrel of blessings.

This podcast will help the "truly old" tell stories and share insights and ideas to help deal with the crud and enjoy all the blessings.

It is for those in the old, old category, but it is also for their kids and the army of caregivers that come every day to, as Ralph says, "give us baths and help us dress and make sure we take our meds. They need to know what it's like to be old.”
