Ep 75: One Million Downloads Celebration with Jasmine Star and Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Ep 75: One Million Downloads Celebration with Jasmine Star and Bianca Juarez Olthoff
My Friends! We’re Going There Podcast has hit 1 MILLION downloads and we are here to celebrate!🎉 I took a pause from my day and hopped on a quick call with my twin sister Jasmine Star to process and savor this moment. You know why? Because I wanted to create an Ebenezer moment. A moment that I can look back to and remember how good God has been in my life. But friends, this moment would not have been possible without YOU! I’m so grateful to all of the faithful listeners and for the not-so-faithful listeners too. Because everyone that’s clicked to listen to any of the episodes on any of the platforms has been a part of this milestone. THANK YOU!!! I had a BIG dream, but I got here by starting small. I took the small step of looking up what the beginner podcasting equipment was, and bought it. That step created a ripple effect as I continued to take step after step to launch this podcast. And today, I’m celebrating 1 Million downloads. Yay! If you have listened to 1 of the one million downloaded episodes, share with me what your #1 step is going to be as you pursue your dream. Post on your Stories what your #1 step is and tag me @BiancaOlthoff on it. Like my sister Jasmine said: You need to be ok with having the courage to put yourself out there and be publicly accountable and you need to be ok with being mediocre. You also need to be ok with God blessing what you’re doing to get to step #2.  I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines! Love you friends! 🖤 B RESOURCES: What’s your #1 step? Ep 70: How To Not Be Basic - Thoughts on Holiness with Jackie Hill Perry
Ep 70: How To Not Be Basic - Thoughts on Holiness with Jackie Hill Perry
Welcome to our LAST episode of season 4! Today, thanks to the help of author, poet, and Bible teacher Jackie Hill Perry, we are going to talk about moving from basic to holy. In short, holiness is doing things that please God. It’s what you do with your time and your actions. It is living to please God—and it bears fruit! You live holy because you are motivated by your relationship with and love for your heavenly Father. Of all the goals we have for our life, the most important is to pursue holiness because it is God’s goal for our life. If we truly love God we will commit to making holiness the primary purpose of our life. I was excited to have JHP on the show. As always, I LOVE giving away some of my favorite resources to podcast listeners. When you share this podcast on social media and tag @jackiehillperry and @biancaolthoff to be entered to win one of five books from her newest book, Holier Than Thou. Ep 68: Love Is Series - Communication In The Nation
Ep 68: Love Is Series - Communication In The Nation
Hi Friends! Today is the final episode of Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. We've delved into defining love, singleness, dating, sex, intimacy and we're closing out with a conversation about communication. Communication is a crucial component in having a healthy relationship and it's something that not everyone is well versed in. So many people, both men and women struggle to vocalize their desires or even ask for clarity. This can come down to different factors such as our culture, history, psychology or simple insecurity. Wouldn't it be nice if we had permission to say everything that we wanted? Well, we do! And you know I'm going to back it up with some Bible.  One of my favorite Bible characters is Ruth, and when it came to her relationship with Boaz, she was smart, she was direct, she was clear. My hope is that after listening to this episode, you'll know how to have a DTR aka defining the relationship talk. We're going to learn how to have a DTR, when to have a DTR and also how NOT to have a DTR. Don't forget to share this podcast and the Love Is resources with your friends, community group and family. You can tag me @BiancaOlthoff to let me know all of the lessons you've learned about love and relationships. May you live and walk in love. Ep 67: Love Is Series - Intimacy: Into Me, You See
Ep 67: Love Is Series - Intimacy: Into Me, You See
Hi Friends! Welcome back to day five of Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. In today's episode, we're going to be talking about intimacy which is a crucial part of building a healthy, loving relationship. Intimacy can be described as close familiarity or friendship, or as my dad would say "into me, you see". It's a way of getting to know someone and as a by-product, building a deeper level of love and relationship. While many would say that intimacy is about sex and physicality, it's much more than that. It's spiritual, emotional and mental too. Practicing strong boundaries and using wisdom is the key when getting to know someone romantically. We're going to unpack practical tools on how to build intimacy over time. I'll also be sharing my No Go Bro list. These guidelines can be used as a reference point when getting to know a potential mate. (Think of them like handy red flags to look out for!) I hope you've found this series helpful in your pursuit of love and building healthy, whole relationships. Tag me @BiancaOlthoff  and let me know what you've learned from the series. Ep 66: Love Is Series - The Sex Talk
Ep 66: Love Is Series - The Sex Talk
Friends, welcome to day four of Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. We're REALLY going there in today's episode as I'll be giving you the sex talk... yes, really! This conversation is for grown folks, so listener discretion is advised. This topic is something I'm passionate about as far too often the church doesn't speak about it. Instead, we let culture and media define what sex is and how it should look, which often leads to hurt and can create all sorts of problems. When sex is fulfilled within the covenant of marriage, it's a beautiful and wonderful experience that honors God. If you're looking for some Bible to back it up, just read Song of Solomon aka Song of Songs. (Helloooo!) My heart and my hope is that as you listen to this session you'll begin to see sex from God's perspective. It doesn't have to be a difficult, awkward or taboo topic of conversation. If you've found this episode helpful, share it with your friends! Don’t forget to post it on social media and tag me @BiancaOlthoff. Ep 65: Love Is Series - How To Date
Ep 65: Love Is Series - How To Date
Hey Friends! Welcome back to day three of Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. Today's conversation is centered around dating, we'll discuss how to date well and also define what dating actually is. Dating is a largely American concept and has evolved over time. With today's standard for dating being open for interpretation, it can be hard to define a romantic relationship. Culture's definition of dating can be seen as anything from hooking up to being in a long-term relationship, but what does the Bible have to say on the topic? While it doesn't specify how to date, the Bible talks A LOT about how we should treat others and how to interact with the opposite sex. Once our understanding is rooted in Scripture, we can define how to date well, which I like to call intentional dating. This may sound intimidating, so I've created a strategy to help you as you date with intention. The strategy for intentional dating looks like: 1. Intentionality 2. Clarity 3. Strategy 4. Timely I hope this provides clarity on such a huge topic and that you feel confident to date well. Don't forget to share this podcast with your friends, post it on your social media and you can tag me @BiancaOlthoff. Tuesday Truths: Revealing Leads To Healing
Tuesday Truths: Revealing Leads To Healing
Revealing your feelings is the beginning of emotional healing. The root of your problem is relational. Don’t pretend that you have it all together. We cannot fully love with hidden sin in our hearts. When you shine your light on your secret, it loses its power over you. If you want healing, you’ve gotta stop concealing. 🖤 B

Ep 64: Love Is Series - Single Ready To Mingle?
Ep 64: Love Is Series - Single Ready To Mingle?
Friend, are you single, like a pringle and ready to mingle? If so, this episode is for you! Welcome back to day two of Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. In today's episode, we're going to talk about singleness and how it can be an asset as you serve God and prioritize yourself. When I was single people would always share some platitude with me about being patient and waiting for "the one" to come my way. Worse yet, they would treat my singleness as if it were a waiting room and that I was trying to get cured of my disease of singleness. While I wanted someone to do life with, I wasn't waiting around for a man to complete me, I'd already been transformed by Jesus. Marriage isn't a guarantee for everyone, so, it's important to focus on yourself and realize the fullness of who God made you to be. During your season of singleness, you can maximize your kingdom impact, travel the world, figure out your purpose and so much more. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, demonstrated the power of a life of singleness. And remember, you don't need a significant other to be significant. If this podcast has been an asset or a resource for you, send it to your friends, post it on social media and tag me @BiancaOlthoff because sharing is caring. Ep 63: Love Is Series - What Is Love?
Hi Friends! Welcome to Love Is, a six-day podcast special about love, dating and sex. No matter how uncomfortable you may feel discussing these topics, if you commit to these sessions, it will change the way that you see, give, and receive love. Whether you're married, single, engaged or somewhere in between, my heart and my hope is that through these sessions you'll learn how to articulate what love is and how to love well in a world that complicates love. The foundation for healthy relationships is knowing the creator of L-O-V-E, that is J-E-S-U-S!. To love someone in wholeness, you must be wholly loved by a holy God. As we talk about love, we’ll root our understanding in a Bible passage from 1 Corinthians 13. As we journey through the next six days together, I hope this podcast fuels you to do love well and to understand who love is. Ep 62: The Art Of Making Art with Jeremy Camp
Ep 62: The Art Of Making Art with Jeremy Camp
Hey Family! Let’s talk about creativity! Whether you want to write a book, paint a mural, launch a business or even create a math algorithm, that is all centered around the creative process. On today’s episode, I’m talking with award-winning singer and songwriter, Jeremy Camp. I learned about four main stages to developing an idea. They are: preparation, incubation, illumination and lastly, verification. While things may not always work out in this exact linear order, you can use this as a roadmap for your creative journey. It offers a direction if not a destination. The most important thing to remember is that everyone’s creative process looks slightly different. Mine looks more like a zig-zag or a spiral than a straight line. Throughout our conversation, you’ll hear about Jeremy’s creative process and how he tends to break a lot of the creative rules. I would love to hear about your art and creativity. Will you do me a favor? Send me a visual clue that you are participating in this creative process. Take a picture of your art, song lyrics, poem or business plan and tag us @BiancaOlthoff and @JeremyCampOfficial. Ep 61: Transformation In The Nation with John Mark Comer
Ep 61: Transformation In The Nation with John Mark Comer
Hello Friends! Something we often think about at the top of the year is transformation. This is the process of changing our lives around for the better. In today’s episode, I’ll be chatting with author, teacher, and preacher John Mark Comer about something that is crucial for the development of our souls, hearts, and minds: spiritual transformation. This is achieved through disciplines that align us to God so that we can do his will and work for our lives. Biblically speaking, some of the ways to practice and grow in your faith include reading Scripture, prayer, community, fasting, confession, submission, worship, and celebration. This topic of conversation is a bit like quinoa… Perhaps you’ve never tried the tasty, protein-packed superfood. But once you try quinoa (or spiritual disciplines), you’ll see that it’s good for your soul. Trust me. Spiritual transformation cannot be accomplished by our own efforts. However, we do participate in the process by partnering with God. While these aren’t a quick fix for your spirituality, if you create intentional habits and practices, you will find yourself closer to God and more spiritually empowered. If you eat quinoa this week, snap a photo and tag me @BiancaOlthoff so I can celebrate how quinoa is transforming our bodies and how @JohnMarkComer is transforming our minds. Tuesday Truths: Get Back To God
Tuesday Truths: Get Back To God
No matter how far away you feel from God today, there's a pathway back to him. Here are three things we can do to get back to God: 1) realize we need to change, 2) own up to our sin, and 3) give up control. True transformation happens when our hearts move from self-centeredness to God-centeredness. When you seek God seriously, you will not be disappointed. Love you, friends! B

Tuesday Truths: Don't People Please
Tuesday Truths: Don't People Please
I have this reminder to give to you, God made you to be you. Let Him determine your identity. The Bible says, our purpose is to please God not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. Fulfill the plan that God has for your life, not somebody else’s. That is real success. 🖤 B

Ep 59: BONUS What To Do When Your Plans Change with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Ep 59: BONUS What To Do When Your Plans Change with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Hi friends! As we reach the end of 2021, many of us have had to face something that we didn’t plan for. Things have gone a little bit different than you might have thought, and you've had, what I call, a change of plans. Facing things that we didn't plan for can be jarring and can even rattle our faith. Sometimes we wonder why things aren’t going as planned and even wonder where God is. When we don’t know what is going on, we must hold on to what we know to be true: Though your plan may have changed, your purpose hasn’t. God has a purpose for you. The reason Jesus came to earth was for you. I want you to plant this truth in your heart.  Let me know how your plans have changed and where you see God show up in this season. You can tag me @BiancaOlthoff on your posts and also share this podcast with your friends and family. If this show is something you like, leave a rating and review so it can get into more ears around the world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, friends! 🖤 B Music by: Brad Tsushima, Instagram: @bradtsushima, email: bradtsushima94@aol.com, Spotify: “R.A.D.”

Ep 58: How To Read Your Bible with Zach Windahl
Ep 58: How To Read Your Bible with Zach Windahl
Hey friends, as we count down to the end of the year, many of us are contemplating this past year and what we are looking forward to next year. On today's show, we get to have a conversation on how to grow in your faith and impact the world around you with author, seminarian, and overall good guy, Zach Windahl. He wrote The Bible Study, and in this episode, I picked his brain on why the practice of reading God's word is important. My hope is that you love Zach as much as I do. Let us know what you learned from this episode by sharing on social media and tagging @BiancaOlthoff and @ZachWindahl. You can find all of his resources by going to The Brand Sunday. Tuesday Truths: Stay Salty
Tuesday Truths: Stay Salty
We are the salt of the earth. This declares who we are and what our purpose is. We are called to add Christ flavor to whatever environment we are placed in. We are to preserve a Christ like culture in a morally decaying world. And we can cause others to thirst after the God that we have inside of us.  Stay salty my friends! 🖤 B

Ep 57: Word Of The Year with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Ep 57: Word Of The Year with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Friends, when I think about the end of the year, I want to ensure that we’re setting ourselves up for a strong year to come. One of the practices I've developed in my life is finding a word or phrase for the year. Today I want to walk you through my process on how I find a word for the following year. There's nothing mystical or magical about this process, it's a guide to help you through not just daily or weekly activities, but to set an intention for the year. This one word will help center you when life gets crazy or you feel you’ve lost your way or your convictions. Three steps to follow are: Pause Think Create a List If you don't have a word for the year yet, I really encourage you to make time and really go through the process. When you get your word, I’d love to know what it is! You can tag me @BiancaOlthoff on your posts or you can share this podcast with your friends and family and do this activity together. As always, I’m honored to create content that I believe will shape and shift your life. If this show is something you like, will you consider rating and reviewing it so it can get into more ears around the 🌏? It would mean the world to me. Tuesday Truths: Are You A Cup or A Straw
Tuesday Truths: Are You A Cup or A Straw
What God gives to you, he wants to give through you. God is looking for people He can use. Will you be a cup or will you be a straw? If you're a cup, you just get filled up and that's it. But when you’re a straw God can channel His blessing through you to other people. When you're going through a tough time you still can say: God I don't have much but I'm willing to share. When you do this, God promises three things; first - you will grow spiritually, second -  He will use you to meet the needs of other people, and third - you'll bring Him glory. When you give away what you have, God will open the door of blessings in your life in ways you can’t imagine. 🖤 B

Ep 56: Strength, Grace and Courage with Madison Prewett
Ep 56: Strength, Grace and Courage with Madison Prewett
Hello friends! Today’s conversation is around pop culture. Why do many Christians want to shy away from this topic? I want to jump in and have a conversation about it. Why? Well call me crazy, but I believe that everything including culture is covered by God's control and love otherwise known as this word sovereignty. The guest on today's show was by far one of my favorite stars from ABC's TV show The Bachelor. Madison Prewett shares how the ancient story of Esther is still relevant today and how some of those parallel lessons she’s adopted in her own life help her navigate her journey, such as: Decide who you want to be before you step into your Big Moments Claim your confidence so you can get out of the comparison game Break free from the labels others put on you As always, I love letting our guests know the impact that they're having. And so it would mean the world to me if you share the love. You can tag her @MadiPrew and @BiancaOlthoff and let us know what you're learning. Also share and leave a positive review on Spotify, Apple Podcast or whatever platform you listen to your podcast. We appreciate you. And can't wait to chat next week. Ep 55: Contentment and Gratitude: I Want What I Have with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Ep 55: Contentment and Gratitude: I Want What I Have with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Friends, I love Thanksgiving! It's my favorite holiday. So today you have a chance to embrace gratitude and it is a way to get through this season with true JOY. But let's get real, who is responsible for your gratitude? It’s not your boss, your spouse, your kids, your pastor, or your friend. YOU are responsible for your gratitude. I’ve learned one definition of thankfulness that I love. It is: WANTING WHAT I HAVE. Thankful people want what they have. Let’s be content with what we have. Contentment is saying “I don't need it because I don't have it.” I have a loving Father who gets me every good thing that I need. I want you to join me and make this commitment this week and you can carry it through ‘till Christmas and onto the New Year: Every day make a list of at least six things for what you're grateful for Then two times during the day you share it with someone that you are thankful for I’m grateful for you, friends. You’ve made my list today and I’m sharing it with you. My hope and my prayer as we go into this holiday season is that you are content with what God has given you. Ep 54: The Best “Hood” Is Fatherhood with Stephen Kendrick
Ep 54: The Best “Hood” Is Fatherhood with Stephen Kendrick
Hello friends! Fathers play a role in every child’s life that cannot be filled by others. This role can have a large impact on a child and help shape them into the person they become. On today’s show, we have Stephen Kendrick, writer, producer, and director of popular films like Fireproof, Courageous, War Room, and Overcomer to discuss the recent documentary on fatherhood entitled SHOW ME THE FATHER. This documentary weaves four real-life fathering stories, providing an inspiring and hope-filled reminder of the importance of fathers in families and society. Friends, I know the topic of fatherhood might be hard for some to digest. So thank you for listening. My heart in doing this interview is that even if you don’t have a father present in your life, you might come to know your heavenly Father who loves you, fights for you, and adores you. If you enjoyed the episode, consider sharing it with your friends or leaving a positive review. This helps the podcast get into more ears and hearts around the world. Ep 53: Social Media - Making Us Better or Messing Us Up? with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Family, we are GOING THERE today! Please know that this episode is a labor of love and a passion project. I am not against social media. I love social media! I love the power of people being so connected. There is good coming out of social media. But I want to ask you some personal questions: ·       Do you feel better or worse about your life after your scroll on social media? ·       Do you feel better or worse about your body after you scroll on social media? ·       Do you feel emotionally full or spiritually empty? THAT is what I want to discuss social media today! Let’s just pause and evaluate. How IS social media impacting us? The answer is determined by you. Social media can tear you down or lift you up. No matter how much time you are spending on social media everyday, make sure you leave making the apps better than we found them. But its going to begin when we evaluate HOW we interact, HOW we feel afterwards we’re on them, HOW much time we spend on them, and WHAT are we doing to create the experience we want online. Friends, I LOVE being able to have real and relevant conversations with those who are part of this community. It would mean the world to me if you subscribed to the show and shared this episode with your friends. I’ll see you online. Ep 48: BONUS Choose To Lead with Bianca Juarez Olthoff
Hey family! I'm popping in this week with a bonus episode. I don't consider myself a "leader", but I've always found myself leading. I wish I would've had a rubric on what leadership entails. I felt that I was battling the voices of my inner saboteur. Have you been there? Have you felt outside of your comfort zone? Have you had imposter syndrome?  We all feel inadequate and have had feelings of imposter syndrome at some point. Maybe you've asked yourself, How do I lead when I don't feel like I'm enough? How do I lead when I feel unqualified?  You might be a natural born leader or you might have been chosen to lead. As we have this conversation, I hope that you choose the invitation and step into the leadership that you have been called to. Because what do you do when leadership chooses you? You choose to lead! Ep 44: How to Pivot in Life Towards Your Calling with Paula Faris
Hi friends! On today’s show, I’m truly honored to have a discussion with ABC news correspondent and host of The View, Paula Faris. She is in a new season of life, but she walks us through the power of a pivot and what she learned as she walked away from broadcast journalism to honor a new season of life. Today we talk about pivoting. A pivot is a fundamental change in strategy while staying grounded in your vision and facts. Listen in as Paula and I talk about several pivots in her life and how they led her to her true calling and destiny in life. Not only does Paula have her own podcast, she has a book walking people through identifying their calling in this season. You can find out about all she is doing by going to PaulaFarisOfficial.com or you can check out all the things on social media and tag @PaulaFaris and @BiancaOlthoff to share what you are applying to your life or what you learned. And I really believe when we apply these principles to our lives, we can literally grow leaps and bounds. I want to talk about the gifts that we have access to through the Spirit of God. I want to keep it simple and discuss these three categories: Motivational gifts Ministry gifts Manifestation gifts I want you to operate in the gifts of the Spirit. ask God to reveal his gifts to you. Friends, it has been my honor, my privilege, and my gift to be able to talk about a topic that a lot of people don't want to talk about. If this series has been a gift to you, share it with your friends and family and let me know when you post on social media by tagging me @BiancaOlthoff I love you friend! 🖤 B

Ep 40: Understanding The Holy Spirit - The Waiting Room
Ep 40: Understanding The Holy Spirit - The Waiting Room
Friends, I am so proud of you! You have stuck with this educational week of unpacking and understanding the powers of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for saying yes to yourself and yes to the Holy Spirit having full rein in your life. If you don't know what God's calling is for you, today we’re going to talk about what it means to be in the waiting room. Here's the truth; most of us are in “the waiting”. As in, we're waiting for God to reveal new depth, new gifts and new levels of faith. In life, I know that there's so many of us that are waiting in general. As we learn to sit and wait, we will also know how to: Identify where your waiting room is Learn how to wait What are you waiting for? Do you have faith in the waiting? I want to hear about it. Post it on social media, drop me a DM, or post it in your stories. Tag me @BiancaOlthoff. This series is not gonna be for everyone. But I do believe that it will have a definite impact in the lives of people who want to go deeper in their faith and are in a place of waiting. Don’t forget to share with your friends and family what you are listening to and growing from. Love you! 🖤 B

Ep 39: Understanding The Holy Spirit - Step Into The Deep
Ep 39: Understanding The Holy Spirit - Step Into The Deep
Welcome back, friends! I'm so excited about this week and you know what, I know this podcast is not gonna be for everyone. If you are tuning in and listening to this, it's because you want to understand the power that you possess as a person and as a child of God. I believe that by us having these conversations and dialoguing, our lives can change. When we take next steps, even in our faith journey, we can go to depths that we never knew possible and we can experience things in our life that we might have felt impossible. Today I am discussing the three different baptisms that we see in the Bible. They are: Baptism of Salvation Baptism of Water Spiritual Baptism We are here on earth to change the world, to go to the ends of the world, or the end of our street, and tell people about Jesus. And if necessary, use words. I want us to step into position to be prepared to receive the gift that God has for us. How? By taking these three steps: Remove all barriers Request the Holy Spirit Receive Him by faith We are continuing on and I'm encouraging, you DON'T QUIT. You've come too far to quit. And if some of you are already getting baptized, take a picture of your baptism, post it on social media and tag me @BiancaOlthoff so that I can praise with you! If you haven't yet subscribed to the podcast, as always, you are invited to do so and if you like the podcast, leave a positive review. Ep 36: Understanding The Holy Spirit - Upgrade Begins With You
Ep 36: Understanding The Holy Spirit - Upgrade Begins With You
Hi friends! Welcome to We're Going There! We are going on a seven-day journey through Scripture to discuss The Holy Spirit.  We are gonna dive into this topic of the Holy Spirit because I firmly believe that we're in the brink of God doing something really cool and unique on the earth. I know I said it before and I even used, yes friends, the Bible. This is not a word I want to throw around and use lightly but as a teacher, as a preacher, as a communicator of God's word.  For me personally, the study of the Holy Spirit and receiving to get to this Spirit has radically changed my life.  We will build upon the understanding and concepts around The Spirit of God. My hope is that instead of living basic boring, vanilla beige khakis, spiritual lives, we can live with a sense of upgrade of our faith.  If this podcast blessed you, tag me @BiancaOlthoff to share with your friends and family what you are listening to and growing from. Love you! 🖤 B

Ep 30: Stop Being Ashamed of Your Body with Jess Connolly
Happy summer, my podcast friends! This season is chock-full of amazing guests, solo episodes, and timely truths to keep us always going THERE. Let’s start this season with a touchy topic: our bodies. With the northern hemisphere donning sun dresses, sleeveless tops, and skimpy bathing suits, this is the PERFECT time to talk about issues plaguing our society. And for the men listening to this podcast, don’t act like you are exempt. If research is true, roughly 75% of men wrestle with body shame or body dysmorphia. So listen up, friends: It's high time we start talking about what we don’t like to talk about. Today on the show, I’m talking with Jess Connolly, writer, dreamer, barre instructor, and author of Breaking Free from Body Shame. Friends, I believe that we’ve all struggled with everything from: Body image Overeating Dieting Emotional eating Biblical view on eating My hope isn’t that we walk away with a false sense of magically being free from body shame, but that we at the very least, celebrate the beauty created by a Master Artist. If you want more information on Jess and how you can order her book: Breaking Free from Body Shame. You can do so now on amazon or check out the rest of her stuff at jessconnolly.com. Ep 21: Hope In The Hard Places with Levi Lusko
Welcome back, friends! This week we are talking about finding hope in hard places. Our guest, Levi Lusko, is a pastor, author, podcaster, and church planter. But one of his most cherished role is that of father. Several years ago, I remember learning about the tragic passing of daughter Lenya and it hit way too close to home. Pastor Levi is going to share some amazing learnings on finding hope in hard places. Hope can only be experienced after grief. Four lessons on grief that I’ve compiled from my book How To Have Your Life Not Suck are: Acknowledge Reality Accept Reactions Avoid Remedying Affirm Reengaging If we know how to grieve well, we will heal well. And faster. In addition to being able to survive pain and loss, I believe we can also know how to deal with those who will walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death… and you can let them know, “you will fear no evil” (Psalm 23:1). Pastor Levi has so many books and amazing resources that you should check out. It would mean the world if you tagged him @levilusko and @biancaolthoff on social media and shared what you learned. As my thank you to you, two lucky winners will get a copy of Through The Eyes of a Lion: Facing Impossible Pain, finding Incredible Power. Ep 20: Deconstructing to Reconstructing Faith with Lecrae
Welcome back to another episode so we can GO THERE! As we dive into this episode on DECONSTRUCTING FAITH I’m going to be honest: this podcast is layered and complex. As you listen, I don’t want you to feel overwhelmed—I want you to feel hopeful. On today’s podcast we talk to rapper, writer, and philanthropist Lecrae Moore. This man has more awards than his shelf can contain and has given back to his community in more ways than I can explain on the show.  We will discuss: Origins of the philosophical concept of deconstruction (and how faith communities are applying it) Mental health in minority communities Man wounds aren't God wounds Why therapy and counseling matter Reconstructing after deconstructing For those on a spiritual journey of figuring out your faith, let me say, don’t give up! Your labor will not be in vain. I firmly believe that when you seek God you will find him. When you call to Him, he will answer. As always my podcast friends, let me say how much I appreciate you. Ep 19: Too Blessed To Be Badly Dressed with Zoe Juarez
Friend, do you know what time it is? It’s time to talk about FASHION. Fashion is equal parts intrigue and mystery for me. It’s like beef tartare. I know I should like it and all of its fanciness, but at my core I’m afraid to look it at and even more afraid to try being daring and make a fool of myself in the process. Maybe you are a fabulous or maybe you feel fabuLESS. Today we are talking about what to FEEL in what we wear and how to find our own self confidence no matter what shape you are. God cares about the minutia of our lives and the desires of our hearts. Another person who cares is clothing stylist, Zoe Juarez. She has styled for companies like Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, and styled photoshoots for magazines, models, and multi-purpose consultations. Zoe has a unique style for her clothes, but she always has a heart to make people feel fabulous. She has graciously offered a FREE 1-hour Consultation for one lucky listener to walk through your wardrobe and help you style outfits or to help you create a personalized Pinterest board for inspiration. All you have to do is tag @zBelleJ and @biancaolthoff to win a FREE personalized styling consultation. Thank you for listening and I hope you subscribe and rate this show so we end up in the ears of people far and wide.  Love you guys and can't wait to chat next week! 🖤 B

Ep 17: Act Your Wage with Rachel Cruze
Ep 17: Act Your Wage with Rachel Cruze
Friends, sometimes we need a voice to help us remember the power that money can have over us. Money is funny but we all have to deal with it. If we understand that money can be our friend and not our foe and if we learn how to steward it, we can use our finances not just for financial freedom - but to build the Kingdom of God as well. Today my special guest Rachel Cruze will discuss more about how to know ourselves and know our money. She will help us understand why it is important to identify which of the 4 money environments we grew up in and how that affects our view and use of our finances. The 4 money classrooms are: Anxious money classroom Unstable money classroom Unaware money classroom Secure money classroom Let’s be real - nobody likes to talk about money or money issues! I’m so grateful that we got to spend time and learned from Rachel today. You can find her book Know Yourself, Know Your Money anywhere fine books are sold. Thanks for listening in today! It would mean so much to me if you honored and thanked Rachel by tagging her @RachelCruze and @BiancaOlthoff. Two lucky winners will receive a copy of Rachel’s book Know Yourself, Know Your Money. Ep 13: How To Step-Up In Step-Parenting With Parker Olthoff

Now before you think you don’t relate to the topic, let me beg to differ. Though you may not be a stepparent, 50% of those listening probably have a stepparent. I have a very special guest joining me for this conversation. My favorite son and favorite footballer player, Parker Mason Olthoff. We will share several personal stories and we will hear: The effects of divorce on all families An honest perspective from a child of divorce Statistics on the emotional effects of divorce on children What healthy parenting can produce For the struggling stepparents, keep going. You never know how God can use you. For stepkids out there, go thank your stepparent for doing the best they could. Ep 08: Life After Death - What we can learn from those suffering from depression and suicide with Kayla Stoecklein
Ep 08: Life After Death - What we can learn from those suffering from depression and suicide with Kayla Stoecklein
Today I’m talking about depression, but from a narrative standpoint of loving and living with someone battling depression. Most of the conversations around this topic are from the vantage point of the one dealing with depression, but today we are learning from a dear friend, Kayla Stoecklein, who lived through the pain of watching a loved one battle and take their life due to mental health issues. You can find out more about Kayla’s story in her book Fear Gone Wild. If you feel like you might be experiencing depression or even just feeling a general lack of enthusiasm for life, consider reaching out to a mental health professional (a counselor, a psychologist, a social worker). If that feels a bit intimidating, make a commitment to open up to a friend, a family member, a pastor or someone else you trust and can be vulnerable with. Loneliness and isolation are like oxygen on the fire of depression—it can worsen or intensify what you’re already struggling with. My friends at Onsite did a HUGE favor for me and took off $200 the registration price of their new online course called REDISCOVERING YOU. This is not an ad. This is a gift. Each week, you will receive a series of videos featuring our world-renowned guides and supplemental workbook content that will equip you to: Identify what’s working and what’s not working in your life Evaluate your relationships Reconnect with who you were before the world told you who to be Understand how your past might be affecting your present and future circumstances Get clarity on where you want to go and how to get there Know that if you are depressed, you are not alone. I’m praying for you and we have a team of people who DAILY intercede for prayer requests that come in to our church, The Father’s House OC. If you need prayer, visit TFHOC.org and submit a prayer request there or on our app. You are not alone. 🖤 B

Ep 01: All the Things you Wish you Knew with Christine Caine
Ep 01: All the Things you Wish you Knew with Christine Caine
Hi Friends! This is my very first podcast episode and I’m so honored you are tuning in. This whole season is packed with amazing people who aren’t just names, but actual friends or people I look up to. Okay y’all, this could be risky to start the show with the topic we are going to discuss, but I’m a risky kinda girl. Here’s the thing: I can’t have a show about wanting to be real and honest and not talk about one of my hardest struggles. And who better than to shoot it straight than Christine Caine?! If you don’t know Christine, she’s a petite Greek Aussie with blonde hair and a biblical bite. She may be small, but she is mighty. In addition to freeing slaves as the founder of A21, empowering women as the founder of Propel Women, and preaching the gospel around the world, she was also my boss. I worked at A21—a global anti-trafficking organization—for almost 7 years. The work was gloriously exhausting and devastatingly beautiful. But one conversation sticks out to me as one of the most profound of my life. THAT is what I’m going to talk about in this episode! Christine is a best-selling author, profound communicator and loyal mom and wife, but her greatest strength is she has died a thousands deaths and has allowed the Spirit of God to lead to the most interesting parts of the world. My hope is that she teaches us today how to do the same. Share this podcast with your friends and tag @ChristineCaine and @BiancaOlthoff because sharing is caring! I would LOVE it if you subscribed and wrote a review! As a token of my appreciation, I’d love to give you a 6-session video Bible study and guide for FREE! All you have to do is write a review, take a snapshot of the review and email it to podcast@inthenameoflove.org and you’ll be sent your FREE gift.
