The Westworld After Show

In the season 3 finale of Westworld these violent delights certainly did have violent ends. The episode begins with the question of whether you would be the savior or the villain, and as it continues every character is seemingly put to the test.

Caleb has taken Delores’s control unit and is off to continue the plan set forth by him with help of the oracle. First stop, rebuilding Delores with some upgraded parts. Delores and the Man in Black are ultimately destroyed in their quest to be saviors, but in their demise they raise the question of free will which sticks in Maeve. In the end Caleb and Maeve end up on the same side taking down Serac and Rehobaom. With humanity now under its own free will the hope is that it will slowly rebuild itself from chaos. Hale has grown to be unlike Delores and wants the human world to be taken over by hosts, and in the end she seemingly comes out on top. As the host revolution and human downfall play out, Bernard is at a seedy hotel with the key. Years go by or so it seems, when he awakes we don’t yet know….in season 4 we will see.

In the second to last episode of Westworld the secrets of the past are finally made known as computers and hosts go to war.
We open on Musashi who is being greeted by the long awaited return of Clementine who has come to tell him that Maeve is not for sale. After he is killed by Hanaryo we head to Sonora to meet up with Delores and Caleb.
Descending on the laboratory Delores and Caleb infiltrate their way into the main computer area, were Caleb begins to learn his past is all a lie. He learns he was part of reconditioning program that he was one of the few success stories of. His memories are all a lie, scrambled and mixed up. He learns that Francis didn’t die in the war and that the App he has been using for paid insurgency work was actually for Serac’s laboratory all along. A job he and Francis had been working for; the very system he now looks to destroy. Delores has tasked him with creating a new humanity and becoming the leader the world needs.

Back at Delos William, Ashley and Bernard learn that Charlotte implanted William with a virus that allowed her to track his moves, and that he is technically dead, much like the rest of the outliers from the lab. William pledges to save the world as they continue to look for answers.
As Caleb grapples with the fate of the world and the realization of his real memories, Delores is faced with the arrival of Maeve. In an all out brawl they attempt to fight to the death, and Delores has the last move with the press of a button putting them both to sleep.

Episode 6 opens with a simulation of Maeve in the Valley Beyond. A glimmer of hope as to what she might get if she can help Serac defeat Delores. Maeve finds new powers in being able to see through simulations and straight into other areas of Delos which helps her bring Hector back to her reality.

At the psych ward we meet up with William who is given a procedure to produce his real memories, the root of his problems. In the simulation he is joined by incarnations of himself throughout the years and his father. After brutal killing them he realizes he is the good guy. Only to have the simulation end by Bernard and Ashley who have come to the hospital to get him.

Serac is waging war against Delos and all hosts. Staging a hostile takeover he has staff begin the process of destroying Delos, and all the hosts in cold storage save for Hector who uses to keep Maeve on his side. He has realized that Hale is actually Delores which starts a long chain of events. But not before Charlores downloads a backup of all the information in Delos. Mass killing ensues as she runs for the exit, destroying Hectors control unit along the way.  Now Maeve is almost totally alone- all part of Delores’s plan. Charlores runs to get her “family” and bring them to safety but they are killed in a fiery car explosion killing all except Charlores, in an emotional ending.

In Episode 5 Genre we learn of Serac’s origin  story. What happened when Paris was destroyed and how he and his brother created the Node. Flashbacks take us through the years of work they did in collaboration with Dempsey, Liam’s father. What went in to perfecting the system that now knows the future of almost every human on the planet, save for the few outliers which happens to include Serac’s brother. Meanwhile Delores and Caleb are on the run with Liam. Delores works on talking Liam into giving them the access key but before he agrees he doses Caleb with the party drug Genre. In a confusing and mind bending state Caleb is lead through many movie genre’s as they fight their way to freedom from Serac’s goons. Martin aka Delores- 2 is with Bernard at Incite and help Delores in unlocking citizens knowledge of the future to the whole world. As people read their futures it seems chaos will reign supreme. Bernard who is know joined by Ashley leave Incite as Martin stages a bomb and Delores and Caleb lead Liam to the beach, where Liam takes his last breathes. Caleb, experiencing his last genre is in a state of confusion, with flashes of memories he didn’t he had. Liams last words are it was you!

Episode 4 was full of mega reveals of epic proportion, as we finally learn that Delores is Charlotte Hale and a few other hosts as well. Delores has cloned herself not once but 5 times, answering a question we have all pondered: can a host live in multiple bodies at once.

William is also back and still struggling with hallucinations and confusion, eventually being tricked by Hale into a mental institution to spend the rest of his days.

Delores has hired Caleb to help her in taking down Liam, but Bernard and Ashley are hot on her heels. Their efforts culminate at a charity party for the rich where some epic fight scenes ensue. Liam escapes, with Caleb on his trail and Bernard is kept alive to be dealt with by Delores.

Maeve is still with Serac who is teaching her more about the world they are in. He convinces her to help him get Delores for she has the key to the Valley Beyond. She goes on a scavenger hunt following clues that lead her right to Yakuzo he also happens to be Delores. In the end she is stabbed. You’ll have to tune in next week to see is she survives.

Charlotte Hale is literally tearing herself apart as we start episode 3, whoever she is on the inside is fighting to come to terms with who she is on the outside. Delores comes to aid Hale in regaining control of herself and get her back into normal life as Charlotte. She may not be pretending well enough as Hale, and is almost discovered after returning home to find her son and husband who she is unaware of existing. After uncovering more about Hale she finds in the end that she is the mole, that she has been after and that Serac is behind much more than she thought.

Meanwhile Delores is busy getting inside the head of Caleb and convincing him of the evil ways of Insight in a bid to turn him to her side. She shares the intel she knows about the deep pain and secrets in his life and tells him about the mirror world that has been being built underneath societies nose for manny years.

WestworldThis episode tracked Maeve trying to get out of "War World", but she realized it's all a simulation. Maeve broke the simulation but didn't do it completely on her terms. Also Bernard is still after her. Now that Maeve and Dolores are out they are all set to face off in the real world.
