Yes, God, Yes/ The Tax Collector Reviews
Annnnnd We're Back!(not the dinosaur story) but were back at What2Discussnow with two new reviews for Yes, God, Yes the ultimate coming-of-age story that also works as a period piece. Natalie Dyer is flat out amazing in Yes, God, Yes. A movie that would make Polly Platt(Say Anything, Bottle Rocket) proud if she was still with us and Steve Wandling says the movie is really satisifying even more so than mainstream releases that got much more attention and it doesn't waste anytime with a lean 75 minute runtime. Yes, God, Yes demands multiple viewings.
The Tax Collector is a completely different film about the brutality living of the drug cartel that does have its fair share of flaws but Shia Labeouf is absolutely magnetic and dances circles around the cast in a mixed David Ayer film that completely doesn't live up its to full potential but it does have enough campyness to keep most entertained. It is more entertaining than your average popcorn flick.
Enjoy the new episode!!
