What Is Going On, Anyway?

Full Pink Moon. April 23, 2024. How many times do we need to hear, just let it go? It's not so easy though, is it? This full moon we've passed a signpost. The land we've entered has a new ruling party and we don't quite know how to conduct ourselves here. It takes a lot of bravery to know something is right on the inside and then follow through with that knowing on the outside. This is a time for teeny tiny steps in the direction of our inner authority taking charge. I don't foresee this being simple or easy. What I can see is that it will be rewarding and offer some moments of liberation.

April 8, 2024. It's a new moon and a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE, and conjunct the wounded healer Chiron. This is a stupendous time for transformation. Whatever your deepest, truest calling is: Listen.

I'll share my take on the chakras (one more time - this one's for me) and how they relate to the 3rd, 4th and 5th dimensions. Maybe, prolly. It's just theory.

Take your time to love this moment now. To be kind to your self and to enjoy a moment of restart. Everything is rebooted. Let's hope it works.

New Wolf Moon in Capricorn, January 11, 2024. Welcome to Season 2! This new moon time has me wanting to develop a friendlier relationship with the Dark. As I feel the prompts of a New Year and all the cheerful resolutions to be made, it seems important to balance it all out with the truth of my experience. I need the dark and the light to figure out my center place and to know how to ask for help that gives me what I need to stay there. Thank you for joining me here for another season of What Is Going On, Anyway? The I-Ching gives us 3.5-24 Sprouting to Returning. And both hexagrams are excellent for contemplating ideas around starting a new year with flexibility and hope.

December 26, 2023. Full Cold Moon in Cancer. It's the last full moon of 2023 and a good time for reflection and appreciation. Intuitively, this next year holds something a little different for us all. Join me to hold space for gratitude, understand where we've been and prepare to push open little pockets of space to hold joy that is sprouting in 2024.

New Cold Moon, December 12, 2023. This New Moon time is giving me a sense of the need for imaginal space to consider new ways of understanding the power of everyday acts. What if I changed my everyday habits and connected with others who also seek change by starting small? This is the last new moon of 2023. I've seen my way through a whole year of new moons with this podcast. The I Ching gives us Radical Change and Sprouting. Both are hopeful and necessitate a big round of courage and fortitude to find out what stays and what goes as we forge into the future together.

New Blue Moon, August 16, 2023. Your personal shininess is calling. Can you make space and organize your life so that your gifts can breathe? Join me this time as we consider the end of summer and how to let this two week cycle of new moon to full moon give us the space we need to consider ourselves. Also this new moon time has been confrontational in a toddlerish way, unexpected, and geez a little sticky.

Full Beaver Moon in Gemini, November 27th, 2023. Have you been tending your inner fire lately? This podcast is here to remind you that not only do you need the warmth and coziness of a fire to keep you happy this winter, your spirit needs its flame tended as well. Of course not everyone has a woodstove or fireplace to tend, but we can all celebrate the season of darkness with lights, candles, and flame of some sort or another. New Beaver Moon in Scorpio. November 13, 2023. What does storytelling have to do with desire? This time on the podcast I consider how rethinking storytelling is one way that I am forming the world I want to live in. This new moon isn't giving us relief from the current intensity of the world. Political strife is omnipresent, and a humanitarian crisis is on my mind. Join me for a moment of storytelling magic that brings me back to my childhood.

October 14, 2023. This is the New Moon in Libra and Annular Solar Eclipse. This time on the podcast I take time to focus on the recent war declared by Israel on Hamas. It deeply affects me and I'm sharing how I'm coping with the daily fear that arises from having family in this region.

The I Ching gives us notice that once again, the place we are in is steeped in the unknown and we must attend to what being that vulnerable means. How do we stay with that uncertainty? How do we lend our strength? I also pull a Wild Unknown card for a little extra support.

Full Blue (Super!) Moon. August 30-31, 2023. What do you do when you're afraid you might give up on your dreams? Do you push onward, refocus, or do you give up and change course? This time on the podcast I consider this question and ask advice from the Oracle. This time, we're considering a full blue moon, which is also a supermoon so it appears just slightly bigger in the sky to our eye. And it's a blue moon, which means it's the second full moon of August and the last blue moon until the year 2037. This full moon is having me ask the question, What is going on when you're afraid you might give up on something you thought you wanted?

But for real this time, What is going on, anyway? Why do things seem like they could be easy, but then they are just hard? And also summer is weird. It's either too hot and sweaty or too rainy and it's all just bothersome isn't it? This full super moon is bringing up issues of head versus heart. We must learn the flexibility to move easily from both perspectives. The I Ching offers us "Great Exceeding" and that is just like my garden right now. What is overloaded? What have you outgrown? What must you do? This leads us to facing that which is our obstacle, or the thing that blocks us. Our question to consider is "what work can you do when nothing is working?' We can look at this personally and collectively. Isn't it the strangest thing that congressional hearings brought up alien testimony and yet the public response is very mild, muted almost as if everyone is thinking "so what". What if the wildest truth is unearthed in you and your head receives a 'so what'? Our hearts are longing for some relief from the insanity of modernity, yet we still have to carry on, get the meals made and pay our bills to live. Welcome to midsummer, folks.
