An Introduction
This episode is an introduction to our podcast in the form of an introduction to Social Sciences. You'll hear us talking about the history of social sciences; why they are important; and yet how they’re sidelined and often misunderstood within a culture that prioritises STEM (that’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math); and hence — the need for this podcast.
It should be relatable to a lot of you. But if you’re from outside the field, this will give you a great insight into what the field is, and what it’s like to be on this side. There’s lots of information here for you too in this podcast!
In this week's additional resources, we have compiled a list of higher education institutions for social sciences and humanities in India and Singapore. You can find it our blog (@whatsnextpod on Medium): https://medium.com/@whatsnextpod/introducing-our-podcast-by-introducing-social-sciences-to-you-e4c60a519030.
Tune in the coming weeks for discussions on career confusions and issues, and spread the word so we can better inform a few more people!
