This movie was sort of our white whale, we both loved it as kids and hadn't seen it in nearly two decades. It was our Star Wars... well, Star Wars was our Star Wars-- but we held it in pretty high regard. Now in the sobering light of adulthood, its flaws are clear. It's inappropriate, way too horny and completely humourless but it's not all bad, there's fun world-building in Little America. We cover Eddie Murphy's career in the early aughts, Frazer theorizes about the underlying robot revolution storyline and we imagine a good 2021 remake! 

Welcome to our weirdest episode yet, we're joined by artist Chako Stryck to countdown her Top Five improvised weapons. Chako is somewhat of Top Five list collector and turned me onto making them, so this episode is a lot of fun. So, what makes a great improvised weapon? Creativity. Ingenuity. Surprise. In a time of great need, a harmless item can suddenly become lethal. A spoon, a carrot, even a condom. Highlight of the episode: "Fuck Tenet, I'm picking Half-Baked" - Chako Stryck  

We're leaping into the French sci-fi future to rewatch The Fifth Element. Filmmaker and videographer, Jared MacGougan joins us to revisit his childhood favourite and how it's kind of a relic of its time(the 90s not 2350). We discuss how we first discovered it on TV, the imaginative world building and the special effects.  Most importantly, we answer the large question hanging over this movie: What the hell is that black goo leaking out of Gary Oldman's forehead. Heads up! This episode is especially short because Will made a mistake while recording, so it's a bit of a Frankenstein episode. 

The Dan-Man returns! This episode is full of James Bond, Michael Mann, and pee breaks as we're counting down our Top Five Dad Movies. Recline in your la-z-boy with your Coors and queso-dip, and indulge in the BDE -- Big Dad Energy. 

We're diving deep to rediscover Atlantis: The Lost Empire ! This is one from Willy's List because no guests was choosing it and it's too good to ignore. We're joined by Dana Bontempo to discuss this wild movie that's chalked full of unique characters.

Jade Landrie returns with her Top Five list of spontaneous dance scenes. She has a background in tap-dancing, so she gives the thumbs-up and thumbs-down the  actor's foot work.

Pitch It!  is an improvised movie pitching game, great for playing with friends and helping solve writers’ block. Created by Frazer MacLean and myself, we pitch a few movies and have a few laughs.

We're joined in our brand new studio by Jade Landrie and returning guest Nick Carlin, to discuss the weirdest interpretation of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. crew to date(officially, not counting Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back). We're discussing the prime casting, James Gunn's contribution to the final product, and 2020 recasting. 

Wow wow wow wow wow wow! René Aussant returns to discuss the insanity of The Ooze. We dive into his relationship to the Turtles and how growing up with brothers emboldened it. The movie isn't amazing, but the Ninja Rap is dope, "Combat Cold-Cuts" is dope, and super-cheesy pizza is  dope, which makes 'TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze' pumped full of ultra-cool-radical-cowabunga-cheesy-dopeness. 

The Vancouver skyline can be seen all across film and television...and streaming, but it barely ever plays its self(so much so that there is a really good video-essay called 'Vancouver Never Plays Itself'). Selena and I both live and work in Vancouver, and we're counting down our Top Five obvious Vancouver locations in movies.

This week on WWWWP we're revisiting the 1995 classic A Goofy Movie. Filmmaker, Selena Raskin joins to discuss the movies depiction of single-parent families, the kick-ass soundtrack, and we reminisce about the times we've disappointed our parents. 

The majority of props go unnoticed: cups, license plates, rench fries…pretty much whatever an actor holds. And then there are some which grab your imagination. Filmmaker and Prop builder, Elliott Montello brings his expertise to our show and we break down our Top Five props!

Filmmaker Elliott Montello joins us to discuss Howard the Duck. A movie he insists, non-ironically, is a masterpiece. Honestly, he makes a good point. Nuff’ said.
