When Sisters Share

There are times when life literally lifes you. As if it's not enough, it will continue beating you when you are down. This episode discusses how those life moments earn you a title, a label, a perceived persona among men. At that point, we start to operate on the human frequency, where the world's opinion of us takes centre stage in our lives. This episode seeks to remind us that we serve an amazing God, whose opinion and perception of us is far more important than that of any man. Let us aim to vibrate on God's frequency. Let's God's opinion of you take centre stage in your life.  Our texts of consideration are on the stories of Legion and Mary who anointed Jesus's feet with the Alabaster Perfume. May we draw nearer to our Saviour and realize, He is constantly seeking to save us.

Oftentimes, people get stuff in just knowing Him and never really get to experience Him. This discussion dives into how we can experience God and what that does to our overall spirituality.

Has an encounter with God ever left you terrified? In this episode, we discuss two events that left the disciples petrified - when Jesus calmed the sea and when He walked on water. This episode of When Sisters Share, is a reflection on relationships God had with Moses and David. Two men whose love and lives were so intertwined with God, It is hard to believe God could have even said the words, 'David, a man after mine own heart'. Is it even possible for us to have such intimacy with God?

What characteristics did these men possess? How were they able to stay in tune with Heaven, despite their humanity? Despite their weaknesses and sinful nature?

Do you trust God? No, really...do you? Do you believe that He is working out everything for your good? In this episode, we discuss Psalms 84:11, how God is a sun and shield to us and how He promises to never withhold any good thing from those whose walk is blameless. Once we recognize  just how important the sun is to life on earth and begin to view God as a sun sustaining us and a shield protecting us from harm, it will be easier to trust Him when things don't seem to go our way. There are times when God's actions are hard to understand and seem to contradict our expectations of what love should look like. This week, we delved in the story of Lazarus and how Jesus' delayed response to Lazarus' illness was out of his great love for him and his sisters. The next time you are tempted to conclude that God doesn't care about you because He has not shown up in your situation yet, know that He is waiting because He doesn't want to meet your expectations, He wants to exceed them. Would people truly know what motivated your heart? So today we ask, not as a matter of actions or service, where does your heart lie? What is your treasure? What will be said about you when you are gone?
