Patrick Tigwell from Thomas Westcott Charted Accountants explains there is so much more to what he does as an accountant and talks about how he stands out from the rest by his forward-thinking and dynamic approach with his clients. 

He says you should be talking to your accountant a lot more and make them earn the money you pay them by being your trusted advisor on your business journey, letting you know how your business is performing now and how it looks going forward.

Accounting is not just a necessary evil, he explains how vital it is to have a good accountant working alongside your business.

When it comes to sales, we talk about how important it is not only for himself as an accountant but for his clients to take sales seriously, we also reflect on his own sales journey and how sales were viewed in a negative way as the business world for accountants especially has changed, business does not just walk in the door anymore, now we are coming to the idea that it is essential to get your sales strategy right to avoid the common pitfalls that worked before but not now.

The When Sales Meets Podcast continues after my fantastic holiday in Italy, I am back refreshed and ready to share more sales leaders in the coming weeks!

He explains you cannot sell anything you are not passionate about, and the more you know about yourself the easier it is to sell to your ideal customers, how you go about sales as an individual relate to who you are as a person.

Simon describes his journey of how he got to where he is now and how he is able to resonate more with his ideal type of clients by having a mindset on selling yourself well and being kin with the planet through his teachings, as having come from a background of his parents telling him kids should be seen and not heard, a conditioning many have gone through, being pushed back from talking his mind to now finding his own voice which is vital to find in order to sell anything.

You cannot sell anything you don’t believe in and when you don’t believe in yourself it makes it difficult to sell yourself.
