In this week’s episode of Whole Snacks, Alana & Shay start things off with Love is Blind. They dive into the show’s couples and how most of them are doing horribly thus far and how Shay can never get these hours of her life back again . . . though Alana is not as much a fan of this particular season as she has been of the show in the past, she’s still in love with shows about love—and DRAMA.
The women finished Dahmer and had lots and lots to say about the final two episodes and the show in general. No snack or drink pairing to go with this show, but tune in for discussions and Alana & Shay’s chef’s kiss ratings for the show’s ending (the rating is out of 5 for those wondering . . . or for Shay . . . who may or may have not forgotten).

Tune in to hear Alana & Shay discuss it all.
The episode continues on a much lighter note with Alana & Shay covering episodes 5 & 6 of Love is Blind. The couples end their vacations and head back home to meet each other’s families. The ladies had much to discuss about the cast this week.

S3E19 In-School Friends
Alana & Shay are in the final half of Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville. The ladies are in agreement that the last two episodes (5 & 6) could have been smooshed together. With Alana walking around and Shay looking at her phone, their interest kind of waned this week. Which is interesting, considering it was the start of the trial episodes. There were some high points, like Elle Fanning nailing Michelle Carter’s new walk and the actress playing Conrad’s mom absolutely rocking it, but the Snacks are ready to see the rest of the trial play out and compare it to what they remember from the case in real-time.
HBO’s The Staircase has come to an end for Alana & Shay! Listen in for their final thoughts and see which part of the ending really creeped them out. With the show wrapping up, the ladies each share their chef’s kiss rating and this show’s snack/drink of choice: red red wine! Pour yourself a mega pint, sit back, and relax.

S3E18 Long Story Longer
Alana & Shay are in the final half of HBO’s The Staircase! Episode 5 was much of the same for Shay, but episode 6 FINALLY pulled her out of her phone and glued her eyes to the screen. A new theory in Kathleen Peterson’s death allowed Shay’s number one fear (birds) to become a *possible* reality. However, Alana isn’t so sure.
Speaking of unsuredness (that’s a word, right?), there’s a certain scene in the episodes of Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville that had the ladies scratching their heads and saying WHAT? in their best Minion voice.
And last, but most certainly not least, in lieu of pop culture, Alana & Shay spend some time discussing the terrifying SCOTUS ruling that dropped last week.

S3E17 Uncover Your Eyes
The podcast is covering two new episodes of HBO’s The Staircase this week (episodes 3 & 4). It’s gotten slightly less boring and Shay finally figured out the family dynamics in this one. But she still hasn’t fully put her phone down or uncovered her eyes.
The girls started another dramatized true crime series this week! They’re two episodes into Hulu’s The Girl From Plainsville. Alana & Shay dote on Elle Fanning’s amazing performance as one of America’s creepiest girls. Only two episodes in, this show is already getting more love from the snacks than The Staircase. Will this remain true? Only time will tell.
That being said, catch up on your homework for next week! It’s the same assignment from last week: 2 episodes of The Staircase (episodes 5 & 6) and 2 episodes of The Girl From Plainsville (episodes 3 & 4).

The Snacks have also started something new this week; when a show ends, they’ll each give a chef’s kiss rating & find a good drink/snack to pair with the show. Tune in for the first chef’s kiss ratings for The Flight Attendant! But the girls will go ahead and share the pairing cause you’ve got to have it ready while you listen: a classic gin & tonic!
As one show came to an end, a new one began for this girls’ night in discussion: HBO’s The Staircase. Alana & Shay watched the first two episodes of this dramatized true crime series to discuss all that’s happened thus far. It’s a bit of a slow start for Shay, but Alana (who is actually ahead this week . . . it wasn’t Shay for once) promises it gets better.

Shay & Alana hope you’re ready for this one cause they've been waiting to dig into this story.

S3E15 Death By Rosé
This week, Alana & Shay introduce two new shows! Well, kinda new, but new to them and hopefully you, their loyal Snack Pack.
If you did your homework, then you already know that this week the ladies are discussing: Hulu’s Candy and HBO’s The Flight Attendant, season 2.
Candy was short, but (unlike her name would suggest) not so sweet. And by that, we mean– well, you’ll just have to listen in and find out.
If you were a fan of The Flight Attendant’s first season, then you’ll be sure to love season 2. And if you’re like Alana, you’ll like it even better! Cassie is getting back into all kinds of shenanigans and Shay & Alana can’t wait to dive into the first half of the season with y’all!
The girls wrap things up with their final thoughts on the Amber Heard & Johnny Depp trial as it concluded last week. There’s also a little shady Circle TikTok tings to discuss! oop!
Your homework for next week:
Remaining four episodes of The Flight Attendant
&
The first two episodes of HBO’s The Staircase

S3E14 How the Cookie Crumble Landed
It’s time to discuss the final thoughts on The Circle and The Thing About Pam!
Who won this season of Netflix’s amazing game show? And what really is the thing about Pam? Spoiler: Alana & Shay deep dove into the dramatized true crime series and they still have not a clue.
There wasn’t too much pop culture to discuss from the past week, but the ladies uncovered a few gems to share with you.
Your homework assignment for next week: Hulu’s Candy and HBO’s The Flight Attendant, season 2.
For bonus points: email the girls at wholesnackspodcast@gmail.com some draaaank recipes! They’ve gotten a little lax on their drinking habits and what a shame that is. They clearly need suggestions!
Hope you enjoy this week’s episode!

S3E13 The Thing About The Circle
Alana & Shay are back from their midseason break and they're feeling all refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated! Of course, coming back, the ladies were ready to discuss two NEW shows: The Circle and The Thing About Pam!
Shay & Alana have been keeping up with The Circle since season 1. So, to stay on brand, it’s no surprise season 4 was on the Whole Snacks Podcast TV Guide. The pod’s episode 13 is all about the first half of The Circle. Who are the girls’ faves & who had them scratching their head? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
Even though Shay made a mistake and watched this one prior (her exact words to Alana were: too bad we didn’t pick The Thing About Pam for the pod bc this show is SOOO good– to which Alana replied with the straightest of face emoji . . .), the Snacks still kept this one on the roster because it was too good not to discuss. #shaysnumberoneshowof2022sofar (disclaimer: we are very aware this hashtag is extremely long and probably won’t stick, but there it is). Like with The Circle, Alana & Shay are discussing half of the series with the first 3 episodes!
Tune in to hear their thoughts and be sure to pop back in next week for the second halves of both The Circle & The Thing About Pam!

S3E12 Hot Pants (Midseason Finale)
It’s the midseason finale! So, of course, we had to wrap up some shows before we take a little breaky-break.
In this episode, Shay and Alana share their final thoughts on the very first season of The Ultimatum: it was . . . a thing. Alana loved it. Shay liked the second half. Will they watch season 2 when it airs? The show has already been greenlit for more awkward dates with your friend’s significant other. We wanna know what you think! Should Alana and Shay cringe– binge– their way through another season? (If you're on Spotify, answer the poll!- for a limited time)
Lastly, it’s another documentary for your viewing pleasure and your earhole’s pleasure (for when you listen to the girl’s commentary): Netflix’s White Hot. In under an hour and a half, we learned all about the background discrimination and sexualization of the former Abercrombie & Fitch. (Abercrombie is currently under new ownership, rebranded, and has strayed far away from their past.) Alana and Shay get into some deep discussion before moving on to very scattered pop culture news. But hey, it’s interesting news nonetheless!
Check out this final episode before the snacks return for the remainder of season 3 on May 24th! Until then, check out Seasons 1 and 2 or stalk us on the socials!

S3E11 Two Friends Making Out
With two episodes left until the mid-season finale, Alana & Shay are ready to dive in!
The ladies finish discussing Bad Vegan & to sum it up: How? Why? We are so confused?
The cringeyness (Shay’s words) that is The Ultimatum continues & things just keep getting worse. This episode is all about the trial marriages, so tune in to hear what the girls think. Next week, Shay & Alana are wrapping up the final four episodes. So, make sure you’re all caught up! (Also, your homework: White Hot).
In pop culture news, it’s all about the court cases, babyyyyy. & as Shay and Alana put it: let’s just end on Usher.

S3E10 Confused, Bewildered, Concerned
It's the beginning of two brand new shows for the Snack Pack to digest!
This week, Alana & Shay discuss Netflix's newest dating experiment: The Ultimatum. For Shay, it's a bit uncomfortable, but Alana loves the drama (okay, Shay loves it too). Listen in as they dive into all the new reality TV couples.
Next up, the ladies have a new fraud doc to take the place of The Dropout and it's Netflix's Bad Vegan. All that needs to be said right now is: how sway?
The episode finishes up with the latest pop culture news!
