The Curiosity Cache

Friede was kidnapped from the docks of Shelzar, spirited away on a fast  slaver ship bound for the Calastian Hegemony.  Several days passed while  his friends gave chase, hoping to rescue him, only to find him in the  small fishing town where they had just dealt with some strange  occurrences.   So what happened to Friede during that time?  Watch now  to find out!  

Deep within the strange fun house, the crew finds the cause of the odd happenings in the fishing town.  It is up to them to stop it, and return to tell the tale!  And what surprise will be waiting for them when they emerge?  Watch to find out!

Saved by their own quick thinking and a giant pink, squeaky dinosaur, the would-be adventurers find themselves trying to piece together what happened in this strange fishing town.  Something in the carnival seems to have shrunken the townsfolk, and unleashed other strange events...something that might be lurking in the funhouse.  The same funhouse where the evil harlequin's legs ran away to.  So into the unknown they must go, hoping to find the answers that will return them back to their original size!

Things just keep getting weirder for our shop employees as they find themselves miniaturized in the midst of a seemingly abandoned carnival.  An angry clown seems determined to smoosh them underfoot, and a certain giant pink lizard is still somewhere out there.  With the squished remains of the townsfolk littering the now oversized landscape, what hope do our would-be heroes have?

With the wreckage of the Cyrenity lost beneath the waves, the group makes their way to shore, only to find a deserted town.  Where are the residents?  Where is that strange music coming from?  Why is a group of cats in sailor outfits crewing the only ship in the port?  And what the hell is THAT?!  (Oh, you'll know when you get there...)

After the sinking of the Cyrenity, the would-be rescuers must now figure out how to save themselves.  There's a lot of water between them and safety.  Who knows what lurks below?

The search for Friede continues as the group sails across the ocean on the Cyrenity.  But something unexpected is in the water, and it may spell doom for our would-be heroes!

The Cache employees face what lurks in the hold of the Cyrenity, worms that made lunch of the ship's cook.  Decisions must be made on whether to postpone the search for Friede, as the crew diverts to shore in order to bring on food after the worms ruined what the ship was carrying, or to push on in search of their friend.  **cue dramatic music**

From the depths of the Curiosity Cache, a strange rat-like creature has crawled up to face our would-be heroes.  Granted, they probably cause that rat-thing to even exist, so what better to do than swaddle it in Dhesim's grubby shirt and try to teach it about the ways of the world?  Sriggick is thusly named, and it's just another end of another day at the shop.  Until Friede wakes up with an urge to slip out into the night, by himself, and head down to the docks.  What could go wrong, right?  Find out in this week's episode!

In the face of becoming homeless and destitute, the group decides to head out to find a relic on Belkie's "to-do" list.  Things are never that easy, however, and tracking down the Falchion of Darjun is going to take more than a lucky guess.  They visit Through the Ages, a "memory cafe" run by an ancient elven woman called Ailluin, who was present to witness the gladiator's fall.  Witnessing Darjun's death proves to be more than Brakaw expects, however...it it one thing to wish to see the death of a member of a rival clan, and a completely different thing to experience it.  And the group finds a surprise waiting for them when they return to the Cache...

Noah Grand, who plays Brakaw Blue on The Curiosity Cache, joins me to chat about playing D&D online, his roleplaying history, and a bit about his character in the campaign!

John Wilcox, who plays the slitherin known as Dhesim on The Curiosity  Cache, sits down to chat with me about the fun that is role playing,  making whiskey in Ireland, and other random goodness!   

Episode 3 found Friede's strange symbol causing odd things in the workshop at the Curiosity Cache, and Pratchya's injuries from the fight with the orc woman in Episode 2 get the better of her.  Visitors stop by the Cache, some helpful, and some that push the reality that the employees of the shop are in dire straits if Belkie does not return soon.  Pratchya pushes for a new path, one that will take the crew out of the Cache and into adventure!

The campaign starts off with a large problem sitting in the center of  the sales room of the Curiosity Cache, a curiosities shop in the heart  of Shelzar.  With the owner of the shop away, and money running out, it  is up to Pratchya and the other employees to figure out how to make ends  meet before they end up on the street.  The Scarred Lands are a  dangerous place, and the streets of Shelzar are no different.  The group  is going to have to work to survive, and work in this case means going  out and finding those relics on their own!
