A Prayer For Covid-19

"Thank You, father. This calamity is not the first one You've seen, nor will it be the last. You've seen so much more than we can comprehend. You've been fighting this battle since before we were born. You are relentlessly fighting against the enemy, relentlessly protecting and preserving Your people, relentlessly reaching out to the lost and pulling them into the safe place where even though the body may be destroyed, the soul lives on forever.

Lord, we don't understand Your timing. If we're honest, our hearts cry out. We say, God, can't You just snap Your fingers and make this go away? Can't You just fix the problem in a blink of an eye? Why must we suffer? How long, Oh Lord?

And yet we remind ourselves time after time again: this is the story that You're telling. You've allowed us to be a part of it, and every chapter of the story indicates and points to us the truth: that You are good and You never fail, that You do everything You do for a reason."

Jesus: The Unseen Savior (John 1:14-18)

Jesus: The Unseen Savior (John 1:14-18)

No human has actually ever really seen what God looks like, but Jesus has made God known and visible. That's amazing. Because of Jesus... you can see God. We don't see Him with our eyes. We see Him with our heart. We can see God. We get to see His entire heart, His entire person, His entire purpose.

The Pain of Rejection (John 1:9-13)

Jesus, the true light which gives light to everyone... was coming into the world, and yet the world did not know Him. His own people did not receive him. Imagine the pain of being rejected by your family, your friends, your people. Jesus suffered this rejection for us, and He is near to us in our own times of feeling rejected.

Reflect The Light Of Christ (John 1:6-7)

"Oh Lord, I am like the moon, without the sun I hang in darkness too. So be the light, the light that shines through. Reflect off me the love that comes from you." - Josh White

Are we trying to shine on our own, or are we reflecting the love and light of Jesus?

The Empty Road

The Empty Road

"The Logos was sent to bridge the enormous gap between God and the material world." - Philo.

What road are you walking? There are so many roads, but not all of them lead to the good life. Many are empty and lead us to nowhere. Jesus is the road that leads us to God.

Hearts Rebuilt From Hope

Hearts Rebuilt From Hope

"Hearts rebuilt from hope resurrect dreams killed by hate." - Aberjhani, The River of Winged Dreams.

Jesus is the God who loves to reach into our brokenness, pick up the pieces, and rebuild us to be better than we ever could have imagined!

Jesus Holds The Universe Together - (John 1:3)

Jesus Holds The Universe Together - (John 1:3)

"A cosmic mystery of immense proportions, once seemingly on the verge of solution, has deepened and left astronomers and astrophysicists more baffled than ever. The crux … is that the vast majority of the mass of the universe seems to be missing." —William Broad.

Science can't fully explain what holds the universe together, but the God behind the science tells us in John 1:3... Jesus holds the universe together.

Jesus is what God has to say - (John 1: 1-2)

Have you ever wondered... if I could sit down with God face to face, what would He say to me? You don't have to wonder. He's already said it! Jesus IS what God has to say.
