Also, Tim and Scotty reflect on all of the great players who have set foot in Riverfront, and those who may find their way here next year. Hats off to 2023, and we can't wait for 2024. Mispronouncing Player Names & Ceremonial First Pitches

Mispronouncing Player Names & Ceremonial First Pitches

This was a fun one! Tim and Scotty are back, and the last couple of weeks were a heck of a ride. Being a PA announcer for a baseball game is harder than it looks, as is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. The Wind Surge is back after sweeping in Frisco, and get through a tough series against Arkansas at home. MLB players are making appearances in the Minor Leagues as of late because of rehab assignments, and we the guys answer a question from a listener. The Wichita Wranglers make an appearance in the team store, and the next couple of home series are going to be packed with special nights. Enjoy another great episode, and as always #SurgeUp!

Hall-of-Famers & Kids Take Over the Ballpark

Hall-of-Famers & Kids Take Over the Ballpark

On this week's episode, the Wichita Wind Surge wrap up the series with Springfield, and Riverfront Stadium got to see a pitcher who will certainly be in the MLB Hall of Fame. Kids take over the ballpark this last Friday, and found themselves on the field, on the radio, and many other things we may take for granted. Now, the Wind Surge start a two-week road trip in NW Arkansas, and then onto Frisco against the Texas Ranger's AA affiliate. The Wind Surge will be on national TV on a couple games this season on Stadium TV, and you probably have that channel and didn't even know it. We have a great summer of baseball left, and it's just starting to heat up. Enjoy another episode, and as always #SurgeUp Wichita!

The Kansas weather did not disappoint on opening day, and congratulations to President Jay Miller as he gets his first win as the President of the Wichita Wind Surge. Roster moves have already affected the Wind Surge players, and Edouard Julien does something amazing in his MLB debut, and he does it in Yankee Stadium. Another Great Season In The Books

Another Great Season In The Books

On this episode, Scotty and Tim are back to wrap up the 2022 Wind Surge season. The Wind Surge had another epic season coming up just short in the championship series. Although, it is another year of coming second, Wind Surge fans got to see 4 Surge players make it up to the Major Leagues by the end of the season and 16 players overall. We saw a complete game no-hitter, and it may never happen again. We saw more walk-offs, milestones, and amazing talent at Riverfront in 2022, but what is your favorite moment? In the offseason, Riverfront Stadium will not be empty. It will host at least 4 high school football games, and maybe a couple more attractions. Thank you, Wichita, for another great season, and here is to another one. Enjoy another episode, and as always, #SurgeUp!

Riverfront Stadium is going to have high school football in the offseason, so don't think the fun is ending when baseball season is over. Enjoy another episode, and as always, #SurgeUp!

Ramón Borrego Wins His 500th & The Field Of Dreams

The season is winding down, and the playoffs are just around the corner. Would you rather win the first half or the second half of the regular season when going into the playoffs? What roster moves before the trade deadline have affected to Wind Sure, and how are some of our previous players moving up the ranks?  Our head coach has won his 500th game as a manager, and some of our Wind Surge players got to play at The Field Of Dreams. Make sure you do not miss Star Wars Night, and all of the other promo nights that are left at Riverfront Stadium. Enjoy another episode, and as always #SurgeUp.

Two Twins Single-A Minor League teams did win the first half of their season, so how does that affect the Wind Surge? Matt Wallner and Louie Varland are staying very hot, and there is still a lot of baseball to be played. Pulling the tarp over the field can be pretty humorous, and hopefully someone catches it on video. The Wind Surge logo finds itself on a KC-46, and building plans around Riverfront Stadium finally become public. Enjoy another Surge Cast, and as always, #SurgeUp!

Roster Moves, Testing Baseballs, & Pitch Clocks

Roster Moves, Testing Baseballs, & Pitch Clocks

On this episode, Tim and Scotty discuss the most recent roster moves and how they effect the Wind Surge organization, the team, and the individual players, themselves. Why do some players move through the system faster, and why do players who are definitely capable of moving on to the next level seem to stick around? While the MLB uses the MiLB as a testing site for new rules, they are also testing different baseballs? How has the pitch clock effected the pitchers moving into the "big leagues," and how have the base runners taken advantage of said pitch clock? There is a lot of season left, but the first half of the season is winding down, and that is more important than you thought. Enjoy another episode, and, as always, #SurgeUp!

Rain Delays & Bats In The Netting

Rain Delays & Bats In The Netting

On this episode, Tim and Scotty discuss the unfortunate rain delays, and how it affects players with schedule changes and double headers. Pitch clocks and automatic balls and strikes are changing the speed of the game, and some of those new rules may be coming to baseball quicker than you think. Players are moving through the minor league system including 2 players being called up as of late, and a very cool story about two brothers pitching against each other makes the minor league news. The season is young and the Surge may have had a rough start, but they seem to be banding together winning streaks as of late. Enjoy another episode, and always #SurgeUp!
