Dr. Love - Anaplasmosis
Dr. John Love, Infectious Disease Specialist with the Butler Health System, talks about an increase in cases of anaplasmosis in our area.  This is bacteria in a person's body after being bit from a tick.  It is different from Lyme Disease.  Symptoms can make a person feel very ill, and typically show up in the summer months.  The treatment for anaplasmosis typically works very quickly with antibiotics.
