How to live a Victorious life Despite all the Challenges Life Throws at us.
SEASON 2 EPISODE 62 HOST: SHEILA GLAVEE GUEST: DAVID PASQUALONE Raised by a single mother in the late 1970’s after being abandoned by his father at birth, David lived in a dilapidated house with 6’ high ceilings that leaked when it rained for the first 20 years of his life. Scarred from watching his grandmother suffer while slowly and painfully dying from cancer, living in fear for his life at times due to insane family members threatening him (that were already convicted of murdering his great aunt), and the recipient of multiple other constant childhood traumas, David Pasqualone started life confused, scared, and feeling alone. He was regularly told by those around him that he was lazy, undisciplined, and useless. Constantly ill as a child and teenager, doctors labeled him as a hypochondriac as he got sicker and sicker over the years. Sent to psychologists instead of diagnostic testing, he was told he was a waste of life constantly by many of those around him. Despite this, David stayed respectful to his elders, but never accepted the lies he was being told about himself. Once he turned 18, he demanded medical tests and two weeks before his high school graduation, they revealed he had a tumor in his head the size of an orange that was slowly killing him. After two major surgeries, intense radiation therapy, and months stuck at home, David was dying at 19 years old. Even though doctors gave him little hope of survival, David chose to try a holistic approach to healing over more surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy. He not only survived, but thrived physically. The story continues with this young man, who thought he was intellectually a step above Forrest Gump and a functional idiot, finishing college, getting married, thriving in business, and raising a beautiful family. Only to get critically ill again and suffer for 5 years in intense pain after a simple dental visit goes horribly wrong. Listen to the full episode as David tells his story. Seen but not Heard. For 57 years her life was like that on a Hamsters wheel.
SEASON 2 EPISODE 52 HOST: Sheila Glavee GUEST: Patricia Love For 57 years Patricia's life had been like that on a Hamsters wheel until she figured out how to step off the wheel and, she did that first by acknowledging that she was not perfect and that there was a problem that needed fixing. Patricia is an Author, Women’s Empowerment Coach, and Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).  She was raised by an alcoholic mother and a father who abandoned her mentally. She was raped by a boyfriend and then a stranger. All these had serious impact on her life growing up, resulting in negative behavioural patterns. For a long time she had low self-esteem, low self-worth, she felt she was never good enough and always tried to get peoples attention. She was neither seen nor heard. She shared on PODCAST with SHEILA how she was able to break this pattern and gain her freedom in confidence amongst others. Patricia said, until we acknowledge there is a problem that needs fixing, we will keep doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same result without really changing anything and this usually leaves us in a sorry state. She stated that in fixing her problem, she had to give herself a reason not to go back to that sorry state which was her lowest point. She emphatically stated that your "WHY" must be a good one else you will find yourself going back to that detestable state you are trying to avoid. If you were inspired by Patricia's story and by the work we are doing, then do us the honours by sharing this message. Someone needs to know that if Patricia was able to step of the Hamsters wheel then they can too. Have a brilliant week from the desk of PODCAST with SHEILA. She lost her mobility a day before the global pandemic and took her first Step on her 29th birthday.
SEASON 2 EPISODE 48 HOST: Sheila Glavee GUEST: Bri Tartaglione Bri Tartaglione is a Certified School Counselor, Emotional Wellness Coach, podcaster, and empowerment speaker in the the field of personal development and mental well-being. She holds two master's degrees in School & Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, and now lives and practices her work in New York City. Her 10+ years of experience in psychology and education intersected with her personal journey, bringing about the inception of her organization, Bria Dorothia LLC. The company focuses on providing curated services for individuals & groups around limiting beliefs, self worth, emotional fitness, and conscious frameworks of development. In all her work, Bri is passionate about helping individuals pivot their problems into possibilities, and strives to foster an environment of intentional self-work and discovery. Her podcast, "Deep Conversations with Dope Individuals" is where Bri is able to connect with others around their personal story, discussing how their journey has led them to a purpose-driven life. In all her work, Bri continues to embody her tagline "buy into the possibility of you" which sets the tone for her personal growth, as well as the work she does with her clients and community. On March 17th, 2020, as the world was shutting down, so was the unexpected shut-down of Bri’s body. After a quick 24 hours of a strange tingling sensation which started in her feet and grew up her legs, Bri brought herself to the emergency room and scaled the triage desk with her hands to let the receptionist know “I think my legs are about to collapse beneath me.” And no sooner had she said it, did it happen. The tingling sensation in her feet grew up her legs in intensity, from pins and needles to a shooting knife-like sensation and the unbearable pain only became more unbearable until she could no longer feel anything at all. For 2 weeks, Bri sat in extreme isolation (as March 17th was the same day hospitals went into Covid lock-down in NYC) with what she described as a “lifeless body but an active mind.” The perplexing condition left Bri completely paralyzed from the waist down, and neck up. A very rare neurological/autoimmune condition attacked the healthy cells in Bri’s brain and spine, and doctors deemed it “miraculous” that only her mobility (and not her cognition, perception, or any other human functions) was compromised. Bri gave herself what she considers the best gift she will ever receive, and took her first steps again on her 29th birthday. From there, she went through intense rehabilitation, and in under a year, ran her first marathon distance (having previously never run more than a 5k). Bri also started her business and podcast out of the life-changing lessons she was able to counsel herself through in that hospital bed, and the unparalleled wonder of learning how to walk again, this time as a “conscious human being.” Bri now shares her story through speeches, workshops, and coaching, with all of her work grounded in self-actualization, conscious processes, and emotional wellness. God's desire was for her to go into the world of mass incarceration to help stop the flow of young people into the prisons. She further talked about how God is using them to change lives. Now they are embarking on a reading program with these young people. She emphasised that, the luck of reading is one of the main contritutors to going to prison. Janice went on to say, if you will not remember anything from this episode, "remember to learn to obey the voice of God". We emphasised on how sometimes our own plans and desires in life gets over shadowed by God's desires and plans for our lives. God's desires and plans always brings fulfillment. When we are obedient to God with the small tasks, then He will trust us enough to give us bigger tasks to handle. Janice shared why we should never ask God to deliver us from anything because we grow through what we go through. As we wrapped up, she said, sometimes we keep going through the same experience over and over again because we didn't learn the lessons God wanted us to learn. When we learn those lessons, we stop going through those experiences. After watching the movie Beat Street, Harper was driven to participate in the culture of hip hop through the art of breakdancing. He attended Morehouse College for Business education. At Morehouse College, Harper initially started out in the entertainment industry as a model which also led to an acting career. Perfecting his craft, he recorded three EP's that went unreleased. In between his recording career, Harper volunteered for the company, Charity Water. The Hip Hop Saves Lives movement became an international movement within its first year of conception. The organization was invited to perform at The United Nations on a day that was slated to acknowledge the eradication of extreme poverty. Next, Mahatma Gandhi's foundation The Sabarmati Ashram, brought Harper to India as a guest keynote speaker. Shortly after, Desmond Tutu commisioned Hip Hop Saves Lives to write and produce a birthday song for his 83rd birthday. Later, Carnegie Hall brought Harper in to teach performing arts workshops. This later inspired Harper to create his clothing line, BBFLY (Black Babies Fly) and also start a new movement "I AM BLACK AMERICAN". The first single off the official, I AM BLACK AMERICAN album is the self-titled track which is slated for a spring 2021 release date. In 2012, Harper started his educational work in the New York school system after being asked to provide custom curriculum for an after school program. EPISODE 6 Good Relationships
All Relationships go through hell, real relationships get through it. We all need a relationship of some sort as we go through life. We need somebody to talk to, to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, a scrutinizing eye, the list is endless, this goes to prove that, we can't live without each other. To have a healthier relationship with others, you first need to have a good relationship with yourself. Fall in love with yourself, go out on a date with yourself, pamper yourself. You can only give out what you have. If you have enough love for yourself, you will be able to give some out. Don't wait for the right person to walk into your life, be the right person walking into someone's life. SHALOM.

"A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams" - John Barrymore. If your dream will become a reality, it depends on your decisions, efforts, the people you share your dream with and the people around you. Your dream is big because it's meant to be big, don't underestimate yourself and your big dream, never allow anyone to talk your dreams down. Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that but the really great, make you feel that you too can become great. Never limit yourself because of others limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination. " You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step" - Martin Luther King Jr.
