In this episode, Racheal talks to Dr Abiola Sarnecki about being a woman of colour in leadership, the importance of representation, and also what organisations can do to attract diverse talent, as well as creating a culture that retains them.  Abiola is a lecturer of Organizational Behavior at EBS Business School in Germany, where she completed her PhD in Organizational Behavior in 2017. Abiola has a Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering as well as an MBA.  She has worked for over ten years as a management consultant in Nigeria and Germany. Senior women on Financial Boards
On this episode, Racheal talks to Tanja Nagel who has been a senior leader within the Financial sector. We talk about her experiences as being one of the few female leaders at senior level, the importance of diversity and inclusion within companies, and for organisations to be more proactive in searching for female CEO’s. And the importance for leaders to get coaching and mentoring, at earlier stages of their careers. Tanja has held several senior roles including the  Director of Private banking at Lanschot Bankers, member of the supervisory board of the Dutch National Maritime Museum. Tanja was the CEO of Theodoor Gilissen She is a member of the supervisory board of KAS Bank N.V., PNO Consultants N.V., the Oncode Institute Foundation and the Veerstichting Foundation. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Frans Hals Museum/De Hallen Haarlem museum, and a member of the board of Universiteitsfonds Utrecht. Tanja studied law at Utrecht University. Dealing with Failure and being an authentic leader
In this episode Racheal talks to Anna Emm, South African author and publisher . This was an inspirational talk about her journey through failure, being an authentic leader, paying attention to changing seasons, and bringing joy back into the world.  “I believe in the power of stories. I believe that a well told story can inspire, motivate and heal like no other medium on earth. " Anna Emm is not only a successful author. She is also an entrepreneur who launched her own publishing company in 2006, through which she has written and produced more than 2000 Afrikaans children's stories in book and audio book format.
