Wonderings

By The Wonderment

The Wonderment team wanders the globe meeting creative community builders and documenting their work. What are the patterns and practices these brilliant people follow as they investigate life and build communities around shared inquiry and problem solving? How can this kind of creative micro-community building have real impact on problem-solving at a global scale? If we find the patterns and practices, could any of us do what they do? We chat with a new wonderer and investigate these questions each week on Wonderings.

Introducing the CRREAL Community on the Wonderment

Introducing the CRREAL Community on the Wonderment

In the months since our initial conversation with quintessential Wonderer Cathy Babcook, her return to Africa has inspired a new community building project among a group of friends brought together by a shared desire to see new ways to flow resources to support wild nature. Conceived of in the wildest spaces of Namibia, this group was inspired by the resilient wildlife and powerful natural landscape to recognize our collective responsibility to safeguard the earth and her beings, and to amplify and magnify these intentions with other resonant souls around the world.

Mike Osborne: The Graffiti Ninja of Toledo

Mike Osborne: The Graffiti Ninja of Toledo

The city is your canvas: What will you create?

In this Wonderings session, we talk to Mike Osborne, who, from a young age, has been roaming back alleys and jumping into train yards, creating unique art in otherwise forgotten spaces. Now he's taking it to another level, painting large-scale murals in busy public spaces that "cultivate creativity," as he says, spreading a message of solidarity with youth and connection to the natural world. These immersive large-scale works spread the seeds of art-making and expressive connection in all who experience them.

Mike's story and work inspires us to think about new creative ways of seeing and working within the city, creating new, unique spaces for people to come together. If you could create a work of art in your city or neighborhood, what would you do? Find out more about Mike's work and share your experiences in his Wonderment community.
