Monday Motivation with special guest, Motivational Life Coach, Fitness Trainer, and "Girl Friend of Authority" Beverly K Johnson!
Beverly K. Johnson is a motivational life coach, fitness trainer and “girlfriend of authority”. She is also the CEO/Owner of Genesys Fitness (GenFit),  where she believes in self-care being priority over caring for others because it is in caring for ourselves that we make the best caregivers. We believe that by helping women rediscover who they are after suffering a loss, she will be empowered to become her ideal self – physically, mentally and emotionally. Having been a Zumba instructor for years, Beverly K. Johnson knew her influence included more than fitness training when a candid conversation with an exercise client revealed that women in caretaker roles often forget about themselves. She named her new motivational fitness business Genesys Fitness because it signified a rebirth for the often “forgotten” woman: the divorce’, caretaker, empty-nester…Generally, the woman that takes care of everyone else and does/thinks of herself last. WOVE Inspiration's Monday Morning Motivation with special guest, Principal Author Dr. Carolyn Stephen!
“I Am A Black Woman” principal author, Dr. Carolyn Stephens has served as a family therapist for more than 7 years all over Atlanta, Georgia. During her practice in the primarily under served population, she discovered that 98% of her clientele were single African American women. As a therapist and family support specialist, she observed that these women shared a common diagnosis called PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). While serving as their therapist utilizing CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) practices, Dr. Carolyn felt the need to create a therapeutic environment where women could share the pain of their past while healing through the power of sisterhood. This led to the inception of the “I Am A Black Woman” book project in November of 2018. Dr. Carolyn assembled a team of 13 African American women throughout America eager to share some of their traumatic experiences and how they overcame the barriers that once stifled them. WOVE Inspiration's Feel-good Friday with special guest Christian Rap artist, Blessed Story!
Minister Cornelius Lewis, aka Blessed Story, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 20, 1984.  Unbeknownst to him, he was given up as an infant by his biological mother to her cousin's wife, Sandra Baker.  Before he turned one year old, the family left Arkansas for Flint, Michigan.  Mrs. Sandra Baker raised Cornelius the best she could and had him in church every Sunday but there came the day when she had to tell him the truth; that she was not his birth mother and that his birth mother had given him up for her to raise. The truth about his past changed Minister Lewis's path in life as an adolescent.  Rebellious and hurt, he chose the streets, was in and out of trouble with the law, joined a gang, and eventually became its leader. By age seventeen, he was losing friends to the lifestyle and one his best friends died and Minister Lewis felt responsible. Broken and diligently seeking God's face, Christ answered Minister Lewis's prayers and showed him a vision.  Today, Minister Lewis has given his testimony and preached the Gospel at churches, schools, homeless shelters, recovery houses, soup kitchens, veteran's organizations, on radio and on television.  Over forty thousand copies of his Kingdom Artist/Rap music as Blessed Story has made it into the hands of young to older listeners. Minister Cornelius Lewis, aka Blessed Story, believes that all things are possible through Christ.  He believes in your story.  Will you testify as to what Christ has done for you?
