Moving Past Murder ft. Collier Landry

Moving Past Murder ft. Collier Landry

Today we are joined by cinematographer, producer, and the host of the Moving Past Murder Podcast Collier Landry. Collier opens up to us about how, when he was 11 years old, he witnessed his father Jack Boyle brutally murdering his mother Noreen Boyle and attempting to cover up her death. In the interview, we get into a number of topics relating to the murder and otherwise, including the stigma he felt surrounding him in the aftermath of the murder; how his father was both violent towards him and his mother yet caring and compassionate on the job as an osteopath; the ways in which he resembles and continues to emulate his late mother; and so much more. Off the topic of murder, we also discuss Collier's 20s, his time in Los Angeles, his dating life, and exploring his sexuality. In today's episode we are joined by viral TikTok comedian and "Just The Tips" host Talia Lichtstein. The episode is the first of a bigger two-part episode featuring Talia, since of course, there was lots to discuss. F*ck Up The Industry ft. Leah Kate

Today I am joined by singer songwriter Leah Kate. Leah and I discuss how after moving back to her native LA and getting creative during the pandemic, she was able to hustle and get her song "F*ck Up The Friendship" to be used by some of the top TikTok creators in the game. She now boasts of 70 million plus streams and has a full EP out called "What Just Happened." The title of the episode (f*ck up the industry) refers to both her hit song and to how Leah trusted her gut and chose to be an independent artist and to not sign with a label. And damn, did it pay off. We also talk about some of the relationships and stories that inspired her hit songs, loving the word f*ck, the physical strain of performing and touring, comparison being the thief of joy, and so much more. We start out by discussing the poll questions I asked on the podcast IG @wtfsuppod, and Lindsey guesses the majority vote then gives her take on the questions and what she would do. Examples include “did you have an idea of when your significant other would pop the question,” “would you want friends and family present,” “do you want a short or long engagement,” and more. Dating & New York ft. Jonah Feingold

Today I am joined by writer/director Jonah Feingold. Jonah recently premiered his first feature film "Dating & New York," which is available to watch in theaters and to stream now. Jonah and I start off by discussing how he and former guest Ilana Dunn ended up co-hosting the dating podcast "Seeing Other People." Afterwards, Jonah breaks down his new feature film and we discuss how he was able to push past the "nos" from Hollywood and forge his own path by making a movie without permission, landing him an amazing cast and IFC stamp of approval. We also get into the intricacies of dating as Jonah explains why dating has become such a topic of interest and something that has inspired him creatively. We finish up with a game of "mansplaining," where Jonah mansplains things that men (typically the heterosexual ones) do in relationships that confound women. This is a really special episode as it tackles a lot of interesting themes and is my first this season that really incorporates a male POV on dating. What The F*ck's Up with Dating ft. Ilana Dunn

What The F*ck's Up with Dating ft. Ilana Dunn

Today I am joined by “Seeing Other People” podcast host Ilana Dunn. We explore a range of topics together, starting with how Ilana’s time in the music industry and as Social Media Manager for Hinge prepared her for her current role as a dating podcaster. Next we get into Ilana’s dating life and how she realized that being open about her past dating experiences helped both her and the people taking in her content. Other themes we explore include how men and women approach dating differently; why it’s important to continue to make friends in your 20s and beyond; how society has glorified depression and negative self-talk; and so much more. This episode flows so naturally and is a fun look behind the curtains of the podcasting and dating worlds. Follow Ilana @ilana.dunn and her podcast Seeing Other People @seeingotherpeople. Transitions ft. Corey Rae

Transitions ft. Corey Rae

Today I am joined by the wonderful activist, actress, consultant, model, producer, speaker, and writer Corey Rae. Corey tells her wild ride of a story, from transitioning from male to female at a very young age, to "going stealth" in college (AKA not disclosing her trans status), to living in LA as a vocal and proud woman and trans activist today. In particular, she touches on the experience of dating and details how dating as a female of trans experience can make an already complicated world even more complex. We then commiserate over the dating scene in LA, get into "Quarter Life Qualms," and play a rapid fire game of "7 Tea Questions." Follow Corey @imcoreyrae and check out her updated website at https://www.coreyrae.com/. Follow Caitlin @ckny1213 and the podcast @wtfsuppod and remember to rate, review, and subscribe and to share the episode with a friend.
