YEBOlab is the podcasting platform for the Youth Empowerment Broadcasting Organization (YEBO). Our content is driven and produced by youth and young adults, and aims to encourage "social dreaming" and the designing of new futures.
YEBO is a proud partner of the Voice of Montbello (VOM) podcast, a youth-created show produced out of The Confluence Center in the Montbello neighborhood in Far NE Denver. This episode features Isaura Ibarra-Ramirez, a youth organizer and growing storyteller. Isaura kicks off VOM's "Bell-Side Series", a collection of episodes that interview Montbello youth who are transitioning or have recently transitioned into the post-secondary life. You'll hear Isaura reflect on topics revolving around family, race, injustice, and identity. This episode will make you laugh, cry, and it will fill you with inspiration. Listen to the powerful voice of one of Bell-Side's greatest. Stay tuned as Isaura continues her podcasting journey by launching her show with YEBO and VOM.
This is a pilot from futureATM (the future At The Moment), a show that explores the perilous road that haunts many young people as they transition into their post-secondary experiences. In this episode, you'll hear host and co-producer Jadyn Nguyen grapple with his decision to forego college and explore options beyond higher education, as well as an interview with recent high school grad Isaura Ibarra-Ramirez about why she decided to take the path of college. "The College Monster" is scary, but this episode hopes to show young adults that there are many pathways to their future. Credits to Jadyn Nguyen and Haley Valdez for producing this pilot, and thank you to Colorado Youth Congress and House of Pod for their partnership and support.
