Was it in school wondering if the pandemic would end? Was it freaking out because the everything was taking much longer than expected? Was it tired of wearing a mask and dealing with everyones online conversations?  Today on Let's Chat  we wrap up our series on what 2020 taught us by answering where were you most comfortable last year and how has the chaos of the past year transformed you?

We all have moments where life throws the unexpected to us.

The past year we hear the words -  unexpected, unprecedented, once in a 100 years, pivot, adjust, stay flexible.

The real question isn't did you make it through the storm of 2020, you're right here. Its - are you a better sailor in light of it.

It seems almost comical the things we thought about a year ago. The past year has shown each of us so much. What about you? Did 2020 invite you to adjust your expectations? Did it stir new convictions? Did the last year surprise you in the ways that you think and feel about life, others, and your future?

This week on Let's Chat Anolyn shares how 2020 invited her to pause, listen, and pray like never before.

Have you been asking a question like this recently? "Why do you (God) allow so much pain and suffering?" Or at least it's close to a question most everyone is asking about the world today. With increasing depression, suicide, and global unrest it is a real question to think about. And if you are a Jesus follower how you talk about pain and suffering can be helpful or hurtful to others.  This week we share some of what we've been learning about pain and suffering, where Jesus shows up, and how to walk through it rather than simply pretend it's not there.

The truth is that all of us are doing and not doing things today that shape who we are becoming tomorrow  Since you’re a part of this community, here’s one thing I know about you. You are someone who wants who you become tomorrow to be better than who you are today. Despite all the odds in this broken down world, you still believe there’s hope to turn things around, in big or small ways.

So in this weeks conversation join Ray, Anolyn, and myself in a conversation centered on what can interfere in our lives and cause us to resist God?  Where did your idea about God come from?  What have you learned about God and his character in your life?  These questions go way beyond "the bible tells me so". They go deeper, and I hope they'll help you forge a new way to see how God as he really can be.  Bottom line? The God of the bible is about people not perfection.
