How to Manage Your Time
“How to Manage Your Time”
Season 03 | Episode 06
Do you often find yourself saying, “there’s just not enough time in the day,” or find people saying to you, “I know you’re busy, but…” Well, we’ve heard it said that you really do have enough time, you just may not be using it right. In this episode, Pastor James unleashes the secrets to becoming a master of time management. As an executive leader at our church, how does he have time for his work, family, adult responsibilities, AND a handful of hobbies? Listen to find out!
Key Takeaways:
- Once time is spent, it’s gone (and you don’t get it back). Sometimes it’s worth taking inventory of how much sleep you need to function during the day and deciding to give up a few hours of sleep in exchange for time to invest in yourself.
- Build your calendar based on your vision for your life and future. Things shouldn’t be taking your time that doesn’t align with your goals and values!
- Join the 5AM club! Some of the most valuable time of the day is the few hours in the early morning when most of the world is still asleep. Choosing to wake up during those hours ensures a few uninterrupted hours of development time.

On this episode, Alex Munoz, a young adult and recruiter for Macy’s college relations team, and Lauren Brown, Director of Human Resources here at Christ Fellowship, join us for a conversation on how to nail an interview, how to identify the right career for you, and what to do when your career journey doesn’t go the way you thought it would. How To Wake Up Earlier
“How to Wake Up Earlier”
Season 03 | Episode 03
If you are nearly traumatized by the sound of an alarm clock going off, this episode is for you. Sleep is so important for so many reasons, but creating healthy rhythms and disciplines in life that are going to grow you and sustain you are wildly important too. In this episode, we talk about how to be disciplined, how to create some healthy habits, and how to give yourself some grace when you’re not exactly where you’d like to be.
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- No one is naturally disciplined! It may seem like it comes easier to some than others, but the truth is this is something we all have to work hard at.
- The next day begins before you go to sleep. One key to winning the day ahead is to set yourself up for success starting the night before.
- Discipline takes vision. Focus on your inputs, not your outputs. Shift your mindset from “I want to get up at five in the morning,” to “I’m going to go to sleep at 10PM, so I get enough sleep to wake up early.”

How to Stop Gossiping
“How to Stop Gossiping”
Season 03 | Episode 02
You may not think you have a gossip problem, but we’ve heard it said that “if you’re not a part of the problem, and you’re not a part of the solution, but you’re talking about it, then it’s gossip.” Gossip can show up in sneaky ways and call itself “verbal processing,” “venting,” or “I just needed to tell somebody…” Any of these sound familiar? If they do, then this episode is for you. Listen as Pastor Cole Robinson, campus pastor of our Downtown West Palm Beach location, and our own Pastor Louis unpack how to get better at talking about people.
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- You grow what you sow! If you sow hatred, you will grow frustration.
- Humility always wins.
- Your words could block someone’s blessing.
- Check-in question: Are my words modeling Jesus?

How to Stop Lying
“How to Stop Lying”
Season 03 | Episode 01
Have you ever told a lie? Whether you’ve pretended to play the tuba in your high school performance or convinced the entire community that you’re afraid of a vegetable, if you’re honest, you’ve probably told a lie or two. In this episode, Pastor Louis and Pastor Karissa help uncover some of the lies that we tell that may not be so easy to spot and help us learn how to just….stop!
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Lies we tell:
- White Lies: These are the seemingly small lies we tell in a passing moment to make us appear cooler, help us fit into the group we’re talking to, or help us get out of a certain situation. Although they seem small, we know that the small decision to tell a lie is a big decision in disguise.
- Life Lies: These lies are a little bit of a bigger deal. These are the lies we live in to appear the way we’d like to be portrayed. If we’re not careful with life lies, we’ll believe a narrative about our life that’s entirely not reality!
- God Lies: God lies are lies we believe about God. These are lies we have not even told but have been told. We’ve heard it said that what we think about God is the most important thing about us. If we don’t have a right view of God, we won’t have a right view of life.
- Bottom Line: Carrying lies is a heavy load to carry– and it’s one you don’t have to carry! Truth is available to you, and it will set you free. Check your heart for some of these sneaky lies, and allow yourself to experience the lightness that comes from truth.

The Best Relationship Advice You've Ever Heard (Q+A Part 1)
Welcome to Young + Adulting, a podcast by the Young Adults community of Christ Fellowship
Church. Every Thursday at 7:30AM this summer, we’re bringing you real, relevant, and relatable conversations around the thing that we all want to talk about the most- relationships. We believe that apart from our relationship with God, our relationships with the people around us are the things that matter most, so we’re covering relationships of every and any kind this season. We’re talking all things practical advice, biblical truths, and stories from experience to help you be the best you in your relationships. Tune in on your way to work, or on your afternoon walk, and get ready to do this “adulting” thing with us.
On this episode, Pastor Tyler Gay hosts a conversation with Pastor Karissa Robinson, and Pastor Jonathan Samuels. Pastor Karissa is the Director of Young Adults and Associate Director of Sisterhood here at Christ Fellowship Church, and Pastor Jonathan is the Director of Christ Fellowship Students. We’ve brought them in to sit down and answer questions that were asked by you! As we were getting ready to film season 2, we wanted to know what our young adults wanted to hear about- so this episode is dedicated to answering the questions we received from our followers on Instagram. If you asked a question, make sure to listen to the end of this episode to see if we answered your question!
