Hello Zanzibar
The crew gave rave reviews of the excursion they did with Safari Blue Zanzibar. Asshur states that this was one of, if not the best, excursions that he's had. The spread of food was one of the highlights of this excursion. Do not forget to visit the famed Rock Restaurant. It is an experience you will never forget, with breathtaking views that will be etched in your memory.
Furthermore, Stone Town is a must. Please make sure that you stay here maybe a few days, and explore. We stayed at Shoki Shoki House; it was not a bad experience, it is not luxurious but it was nice. If not here, there are tons of other places to select from. This hotel was centrally located to everything, particularly where you can see the famed guys jumping off the jetty. It is a must-see. Do a walking tour and also visit the Slave Market; this sacred space is both emotional and educational.
Enjoy!

Boys Trip LA Edition
Asshur talks with his group of friend who traveled to Los Angeles (LA), California together. This trip was an epic experience. It was literally a reality TV show. So the guys could not wait to gather again to recap their experiences, just like the wrap up of a good season of a TV show. This episode is filled with lots of humor, and SHADE lol! It also has lots of great tips and ticks. It is a long one but a good one. Hopefully soon we will have the Nico Response, since much of this episode was spent focuses on Nico, who surprisingly became a dissenting character of this trip, lol.
Here are some of the restaurant tips offered in this episode: Fixins, Saddle Ranch, Mama Por Dios (Beverly Hills) and The Breakfast Club. Literally all great spots.
Also, as mentioned, ensure that you take a trip to the Griffith Observatory. The views here wont disappoint you. But the science is is also mind blowing.
If you want to see Asshur's vlogs and get a bit more from this trip head over to AsshurK on Youtube to see more. Interested in staying at the Airbnb seen in the vlogs and talked about in this episode, check it out here.

Botswana, Beef, Safari and Many More
Botswana's national Kuda tells Asshur about what to expect when traveling to her home nation. From her advise of making sure that you eat beaf, as was also recommended by Steve Harvey. To the advice of checking out a few other southern African countries before or after visiting Botswana. Maybe a perfect itinerary would be flying into South Africa, Johannesburg and then head on up to Botswana.
You can also do what Asshur hopes to do one day, get that ring for your special someone in Botswana. BTW, Kuda echos our conversation with Dave from Mother Land Adventures where she talks about the beaches of Kenya as being some of the best.
Bottom line, if you haven't been considering Africa, whether it be Botswana or Kenya, maybe now is the time to add an African nation to your list because the continent is so much more than it has been portrayed by the media in the past.
And also, maybe you should check out the new show on Netflix, Young, Famous and African and maybe that too will change your mind.
Safari in Kenya?
Motherland Adventures founder Dave joins Asshur and Valone to talk about what you can expect on a visit to Kenya. He shares tips on various places you should consider if you are planning to visit Kenya. This east African country is famed for its scenic landscapes and vast wildlife preserves, and he shares all the info about what you should expect to see before visiting.
Dave shares that Kenya is the only country globally where within 20 minutes from the airport 10 minutes from the city center any traveler can have a safari experience at Nairobi National park. His point on the fact that you can be on a Safari in Nairobi and see sky scrapers in the background was extremely interesting. We would have never thought about this.
If you want a longer safari experience, Dave shares that you can plan to take a 3-5 day experience at Masai Mara national park. According to Dave, on a budget, a traveler can pay around USD 350 on the low end for a 3-day experience to Masi Mara.
Dave also talked about other destinations in Kenya that you should consider visiting, like Mombassa. Many people only think of Kenya for the big 5, and they do not think of the beach experience that you can have in Africa, after all, some of the best beaches in Africa are on the east coast!
Our conversation with Dave proves that Kenya may be worth a visit and it may not be all that expensive. He also shares that the prices you may see online for Safaris may be higher than they cost. If you are interested in visiting Kenya, head over to the Young Black Travelers Instagram page and speak with Dave (Motherland Adventures) to book your trip!
Nonetheless, happy listening!
Virgin Touch Down Inna SVG
Hannah Swift, Country Manager of Virgin Atlantic in the Caribbean, joins Valone and Asshur of YBT to talk about Virgin's inaugural flight to SVG! Volcano Hannah, her new pet name, talks with us about her excitement heading over to SVG after the Volcano eruption. She also shares the excitement on the plane as it made its voyage to SVG! Hannah talks about her favorite destination in SVG, which everyone should add to their list on the next trip to SVG. Dr. Ralph (SVG Prime Minister), remember Hannah’s request to become an honorary citizen of SVG.
Here are some travel tips from Volcano Hannah:
1) Show up to the airport with everything that you need. Negative PCR test, Visa, etc. She recommends that you print things that you need because it's easier when the documents are in your hand, rather than digging through your phone. Or have screen shots on your phone, so you can quickly show the info that you are asked for from airlines or the country that you will be visiting.
2) Be respectful of the protocols of various countries.
3) Enjoy and tell people about your travels.
4) Get out and explore the islands, especially St. Vincent. Talk to locals. Find out where they eat, etc.
