So They Remember
On today's episode of Tune In YRDSB, Principal Aneta Fishman is joined by Author Maksim Goldenshteyn, student Sharon Kartuz, and her mother Mery Kartuz as they reflect on Maksim's book, "So They Remember" to learn more about this period of history, the importance of holocaust education and the importance of creating identity affirming learning and working environments. It is critically important that we continue to teach, learn about and remember the lessons of the Holocaust as part of an ongoing effort to build an inclusive and equitable society free from hate and intolerance and based on respect for human rights. *Parents, caregivers, educators, staff and students in grades 6 and up are welcome to listen to and learn from the podcast. Students in grades 6 to 8 are advised to listen with a caring adult present.*

Pathways Programs
This week we are talking about some of the many exciting Ontario Youth Apprenticeship opportunities available to our secondary students. There are over 150 skilled trades for our students so that they can explore their interests and pathway options. Joined by Mirella Sanwalka, Principal Curriculum and Instruction Services, Reshma Badiani, Curriculum Coordinator and Linda Alati, Curriculum Consultant on the Pathways team. In addition we are joined by a former student from Stouffville DHS, Thomas Kroupis, and a current YRDSB OYAP student, Anna Maria Manousaridis from Markham District HS as they talk about their experience in the program.
