Sometimes the gang needs someone else to sub-in for an episode here and there, but at the end of the day we all still love each other. Coincidentally, that's what this episode of Z Squared AF is about--(un)conditional love. We'll be honest, some of the stories we talk about today are definitely not ones we loved, but they *very much* had to do with love. *everyone shudders* Thanks a lot, Samira. You've scarred us for life. Oh by the way, subbing in for Franco is California's own, Samira S (@iamsamiras on IG).
Chances are you came across our podcast while browsing your social media feed... or we know you personally and told you to listen to it (shh). This got us wondering about social media in general. Our questions to social media ranged from, "who are you serving?" to "who are you helping?" There was even a bit of a "Why is social media?" Okay, not really. In all honesty, we had no idea what to write as the description to this episode, but we can promise you that it's a good one.
Every so often, the gang gets together and reflects on the news of the day, or in this case, the week. Chadwick Boseman's passing was a blow to anyone who has been following his cinematic journey, and for some of the Z Squared gang in particular, it's gotten them to reflect on his legacy and think about life, death, and their pursuit of happiness. Beyond that, they're talking about how they'd want to be remembered.
With a new season on the horizon and spooky szn just around the corner, it's time for us all to fall back into the not-so-glory days of some of the guys' most cringe-worthy moments that haunt them to this day. For the most part, they deal with the guys being TERRIBLE at talking to girls. Also featured in this episode: Franco's balls of steel, an infamous hazelNUT spread, a very special girl, and one man's incredible persistence.
You know, if you were to ask the gang back in 2015 where they'd see themselves in five years, they would definitely not have said in this timeline. But they're here now and have to live with it. And what do you do when you find yourself in a timeline you weren't expecting yourself to be in? Cast predictions about how the rest of it would play out, which is exactly what the guys do in this episode. (Disclaimer: all statements made and opinions expressed in this show-even those based on real world scenarios-are entirely fictional and not meant for the faint of heart who don't understand comedy. Proceed at your own risk.)
The gang isn't really back this time around. Ammad's gone. Zeeshan "wants to leave" and has been trying for so long. Zeeja said "these dirty Americans," and Franco started an all-out turf war with the State of New Jersey. This is the boy band breakup of the century, yet they're taking on a new guest host in this episode of Z Squared MF. Oh, by the way, his name is Maalik.
No, not the song by Adele. On this episode of Z Squared AF, the gang reminisces about the good old days from their past, which really wasn't that long ago. Probably why they got caught up in that Avatar: The Last Airbender fervor. It also didn't help that they had their entire conversation invalidated a couple of times (Thanks, Ammad). But Zeeshan and Zeeja did get to learn that they brought back DoodleBob. Meyaiovah! Mee hoy minoy! Bee ha, bala hala ba ba!
The gang is back once again and they're killin' their self care game. In this episode, Zeeshan and Zeeja challenge what it means to be a man, while Franco gets real about how that question plays into the idea of one's self image, while Ammad adds some nuance to his title of being the guy who's dead inside. All this and more on this episode of Z Squared AF.
Zeeja's got what he considers a great idea to help us grow as a group and he pitches it just minutes before the start of our episode. What do you think? Should Zeeshan start a family channel? Be sure to check out the full episode too!
Doesn't it feel like there are so many things happening so fast? We touch on them all: from NASCAR stepping up against racism and for equality to Officer Karen not getting her Egg McMuffin in a timely manner to Zeeshan really hating authority (kidding, he only kind of does.) The gang is back together to discuss all this and more on this episode of Z Squared AF.
Ever think about the dumbest s#!t you used to believe as a child? The gang reminisces about their childhood dumbassery. But if that doesn't do it for you, how about when you lived through spooky szn? For Zeeja and Ammad, that happened when Zeeshan was out of the country. Franco on the other hand was on an island when he and his classmates heard some creepy shit. Join the gang in this episode to find out what's real and what's not. Also, Zeeja opens up about something that came up last episode.
Nobody asked for it, but we deliver it anyways. In this episode, the gang puts Franco in the HOT seat. Not just your ordinary hot seat, a 2x red ramen hot seat. That's right, Franco is taking the Spicy Ramen Noodle challenge, facing questions from the other three on things ranging from his favorite rock to what's the largest package he can deliver. Mind you, he doesn't work for UPS or FedEx.
The gang is back together (virtually) again with an all new episode trying to figure out how to categorize certain scenarios. Zeeja shares some unorthodox examples and finds himself at the center of the discussions on simping, Zeeshan gets into the weeds about love and lust, while Franco provides clarity on what simping really is. Ammad, on the other hand, is still getting cut off. Thanks a lot, Zeeja.
The gang is back at with some of the most perfect shit that spills all the tea. It's 'rona time so you'll definitely be crying through most of this episode, if not, then we don't know what to tell you. As Zeeja reminisces on the days of his youth, Franco and Zeeshan bring up some more pungent, recent memories. Ammad's here too. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!
The gang is back to update you from their quarantine, and boy are they going stir crazy. Franco's forgetting his shapes, Zeeshan and Ammad duke it out on whether a knob beats a slider, and Zeeja might not be so lonely after he "hit that." For all this and more, tap that play button and catch up on some cool conversations from quarantine corner.
Lockdowns and curfews everywhere so we're here breaking the norms and releasing this episode past curfew. Zeeshan's back from the epicenter of the outbreak and is now in quarantine; Zeeja and Franco are trapped at a smurf festival; while Ammad waits out the panic in his bunker. Zeeja's said a lot of things in his time, but this time they didn't make the cut. So watch out for a special release of an abbreviated episode next week if we're still around!
Sometimes the gang gets together and has hearty discussions; this is not one of those times. Joined this episode by our silent intern, Zeeja tenaciously shares his idea for a "quality 'gram pic," Zeeshan is occasionally an idiot, and Franco and Ammad find themselves on opposite ends of the spectrum of emotions. By the way, Ali says hi.
With Valentine's day in the rearview mirror the guys discuss how three out of four of them have their dating life in shambles; Zeeja makes a Bumble; Franco plugs his Tinder; Ammad vows to never return to Minder again; and Zeeshan wonders "Why...?" in the latest Z Squared AF.
The gang is back and they're telling their truest, twisted traveling tales, from stories of riding public transport to planes without phalanges, including Zeeshan walking us all through a very special story about a man, a church, and his race to the finish.
Join the gang and a very special guest as they debate the pros and cons of various scenarios that they will almost certainly never encounter, discuss Franco's fantastic PEN---manship, authors they might know personally, and Cruella de Vil... on this installment of Z Squared AF.
Man, we really don't give up do we? It's the turn of the decade, according to everyone but Ammad, and we are back with the first episode of Season 2 of Z Squared AF, bringing you the stories of our youth as little shits. Who was the shittiest of them all? And, unrelated, whose is the littlest of them all? Join the guys as they answer these questions on this episode of Z Squared AF!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Eid Mubarak, etc.... y'all. The gang is back together and ready to spread the Christmas cheer with this incredibly long podcast where they dive deep into what this year has brought them. Plus, it gets personal as Franco and Zeeshan spar on the worth of Sir Isaac Newton, someone Zeeja does not give a f#@& about.
Can dreams actually be helpful to how you live your life? What is the ideal stripper name for Franco? Will Ammad ever recover from his throat limga? Join the guys as they answer all these questions and more on this episode of Z Squared AF!
Like many around Thanksgiving time, Franco started off this episode as a "gwumpy gwouch" but he found his happiness along the way as he remembered what he was thankful for. Not long after, he regretted his gratitude. Thanks a lot, A to Z Squared.
Zeeja breaks the ice as the gang returns from a short hiatus to discuss all things life related. (Not really.) Some would describe this as our stupid episode, and well they wouldn't be wrong. So take a moment and take in some of our wilder stories.
On the 25th Anniversary of Friends, the gang decides not even to remember that the show exists and instead talk about some of their pet peeves and why part of this conversation might not be revisited, thanks to what grinds Franco's gears.
