How apologizing effectively helps our children?  Day - 21 Tip - 21  Saying I’m sorry is never easy, and saying I’m sorry to your child might be even harder. But remember, they learn how to forgive and how to ask for forgiveness from you.

So not only can you repair damage done if you’ve made a mistake but you are also teaching them at the same time.

Now it’s our turn to own up our mistakes.

18/30 - How to make travel comfortable for a Toddler

18/30 - How to make travel comfortable for a Toddler

How to travel easily with toddlers?

Day - 18 Tip - 18

Travelling with toddlers can get difficult 😞 but after listening to this video it will be easy Peasy for you.

Here are few other points to consider too-

Plan ahead: Research your destination and plan your itinerary with your toddler's needs in mind. Consider the availability of child-friendly activities, parks, and restaurants. Also, plan for transportation and accommodation that can accommodate your toddler's needs.

Pack smart: Pack enough supplies and snacks for your toddler, including diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, toys, books, and healthy snacks. Also, consider bringing a stroller or baby carrier to make it easier to get around.

Be flexible: Toddlers have their own schedules and preferences, so be prepared to adapt your plans to meet their needs. Be willing to take breaks when your toddler needs to rest or play.

Keep them entertained: Toddlers can get bored quickly, so bring a variety of activities to keep them occupied. Consider bringing books, toys, coloring books, and electronic devices with child-friendly games and shows.

Be prepared for meltdowns: Toddlers can get fussy and have tantrums, especially when they are tired or hungry. Bring a favorite blanket or toy to comfort them and be patient and understanding when they are upset.

Stay safe: Ensure your toddler's safety by supervising them at all times, using child safety seats in cars or airplanes, and being aware of potential hazards in your environment.

17/30 - Why our children exaggerate their pain.

17/30 - Why our children exaggerate their pain.

Watch the video to know how sometimes simple acknowledgment can create a massive change in our children’s behavior..

Here are some other reasons why they can be exaggerating their pain -  Attention-seeking behavior: Children may exaggerate their pain to get attention from their parents or caregivers.

Lack of understanding: Children may not understand the concept of pain and exaggerate their symptoms as a way of expressing their discomfort.

Fear: Children may exaggerate their pain if they are afraid of a situation or activity.

Need for control: Children may exaggerate their pain as a way to assert control over a situation or to avoid doing something they don't want to do.

Copying behavior: Children may learn to exaggerate their pain by observing others, such as friends or family members, who exaggerate their own pain.

Difficulty communicating: Children may exaggerate their pain if they have difficulty expressing their emotions or needs in other ways.

It's important to remember that children are still learning and developing, and they may not have the maturity or understanding to accurately describe their feelings. As a parent or caregiver, it's important to listen to your child and take their concerns seriously, but also to approach the situation with a critical eye and consider all the possible reasons for their behavior.

16/30 - The Real Secret to Encourage Your Child to Speak Truthfully (Hindi/English)

Encourage your child to speak the truth…You cannot expect them to speak the truth all the time till the time they are not trained for it!

This is how you can help your children in speaking the truth!

Tip - 16  Once children are old enough to understand the difference between Truth and not Lie, it's good to encourage and support them in telling the truth.

You can do this by emphasising the importance of honesty in your family and helping children understand what can happen if they lie.

Think and act how you want to inculcate this life skill in your 👧.  Love ❤️ Nehha Soni

Some not so common signs of Toxic Parenting and how to spot & rectify them.

Some not so common signs of Toxic Parenting and how to spot & rectify them.

Everyone is aware of regular signs of toxic parents, here are some traits that are subtle and hence are often neglected by everyone with good intentions..

Toxic parenting appears in many forms- from abusive behavior to mind control- but it affects everyone in some way at some point in life.

It is important for parents to understand how they affect their children's actions toward others, as well as how they affect their children's sense of self-worth.

Knowing this information could help them make better decisions toward healthy behaviors towards their loved ones- even if that means being harsh at times and having difficult conversations with their children.

14/30 How to handle subtance abuse in a teenager?

Substance use and abuse in teenage is very common and we should know how to deal with it as a parent.

Day - 14 Tip - 14  Teenagers are vulnerable and can be easily swayed to the wrong side.

Substance abuse is one of the biggest problems that parents of adolescents around the world have to deal with.  Poor self-esteem and the need to be “cool” can push adolescents to smoke or drink.

Plz be careful about it Tomorrow I will share a few solutions on how you as a parent can be the guide to your teenage kids and help them overcome their challenges.

13/30 - How to deal with a teenager child and be the perfect parent to a teen?

13/30 - How to deal with a teenager child and be the perfect parent to a teen?

Coping up with teenagers!!  Day - 13 Tip - 13

Being the parent of a teenager can often feel even harder. It is important to remember that you are the adult: you are your teenager’s best role model, and that means how you behave is important.

During their teenage years, young people face a huge number of challenges.

Their bodies are changing, and they are going through a massive period of brain and hormonal development.

They are growing up and maturing more generally. They are trying to find out who they are, and establish their identity as a separate person from both you and their friends, but heavily influenced by both.

They are also subject to increasing pressure to achieve good results at school, with public exams looming.  It is, perhaps, not surprising that their behaviour may become more challenging, and that they may experience mood swings and emotional ups and downs during this period.

12/30 - How to help your child deal with peer pressure?

12/30 - How to help your child deal with peer pressure?

How to deal with peer pressure for teens and adults

 Day -12 Tip - 12

Peer pressure is internal or external pressure felt to behave in certain ways, both good and bad. Peer pressure begins as early as age 10 with the forming of social groups in elementary school and increases during adolescence, throughout junior high and high school.  Changing hormones, developing brains and emerging identities make the start of adolescence a particularly vulnerable time, where peer pressure is most influential.

This is also a stage in life where friend groups are of utmost importance and the need to fit in is a major factor in decision making.  Let’s make our kid's life better and ours too.

9/30 How to embibe the concept of responsibility in a Teenager

How to make a responsible teenager.

Day -9 Tip - 9

We dream of having a responsible teenager. They should do all the work, understand the situation, cooperate during difficult times, help with household chores, take care of their siblings even make them study, choose friends wisely and whatnot.

But how they can do all these without any training or experience. And then these teenagers go to college(you where I am going). So let’s understand where are we lacking and help our hormonal teenagers to live a better life and make good choices for themselves.

6/30 How to deal with an angry Child

6/30 How to deal with an angry Child

When it comes to the ways your child can drive you crazy, the sky’s the limit. Countless questions. Nonstop messes. Constant nagging. Rollercoaster moods. Epic meltdowns. Endless needs. And, of course, the pandemic has only heightened all of this. We’re stressed out about everything from the state of the world to our job status to our shrinking support systems. We’re short on sleep and have a sliver of alone time — if we’re lucky.  So, if you haven’t been acting like your best self, it makes perfect sense — please don’t beat yourself up! And know there are plenty of helpful things you can do, from behavioural tactics to fast-acting, calming techniques.

When you are more connected to your emotions, you can make better choices regarding how you respond to your children and you can do this with your children too. To check-in, simply take a few minutes throughout the day to do the following:

1. Close your eyes.

2. Place one hand on your belly and the other on your heart.

3. Notice your heartbeat, inhales, and exhales.

4. Scan your body for any sensations.

5. Lastly, open your eyes and notice how you feel.

What are you waiting for, do it for yourself?

Love ❤️ Nehha Soni

5/30 How to Deal with stranger anxiety of your kids

5/30 How to Deal with stranger anxiety of your kids

Stranger anxiety is a normal emotional phase that occurs when your child cries or becomes distressed when an unknown person approaches or attempts to hold her.

As with many stages of emotional development in children, a good dose of patience can go a long way. While you can’t fast forward through the stranger anxiety phase or wave a magic wand to get rid of it, you can try taking some of these approaches to ease this oh-so-fraught milestone.

I would add some more pointers to work with stranger anxiety- 🌼Let your child observe the room or atmosphere. 🌼Explain to your child where are they going and what is gonna happen there. 🌼Read some stories with the same characters like Nani, masi, didi….. this helps them to understand their role. 🌼 Stay within arm’s reach.

When toddler stranger anxiety sets in, it’s key to make it clear to your child that she’s “safe” by holding her or staying close to her. 🌼If your child wants to be held, go ahead and hold her.

Don't push her to meet and greet because you're worried about hurting the stranger's feelings. 🌼 Insisting your baby or toddler comes face-to-face with her anxiety — and those strangers — will only feed it.

Lastly patience is the key. Just breathe 🧘‍♀️

4/30 Be true to your children and always speak the truth!

4/30 Be true to your children and always speak the truth!

These are called white lies, which don’t affect you but for children, it confuses them.

They don’t understand why mom/ dad is taking so much time to come. For them, it becomes a normal practice and they stop giving importance to time and commitments. Sometimes we wonder why we get late for school or parties or classes, this is the reason. Because also don’t understand the importance of time and commitment.

We are teaching the same to our children and they will do the same when they grow up.  So mammas and papas improve your habit of false promises and stay true to your children.  Keep in mind that you are building healthy, positive, and respectful habits toward the self and others as a parent. These lessons require a ton of practice and repetition, which is exhausting as a parent. However, this is how kids learn and integrate important lessons for future reference and use.  If you have any suggestions or questions DM us.

3/30 How to set physical boundaries while understanding emotions of your child - Parenting 101

Hello 👋 Parents  Getting hit by your child can be frustrating, embarrassing, and infuriating. For some parents, it brings about a sense of shame and desperation. Many parents worry that their child's aggression toward them is a sign that they've somehow failed as a parent. But most kids hit at one time or another.  🌼Sometimes they lash out because they don't have the skills to manage their feelings and express them in a more socially acceptable way.  🌼They may lack the language or impulse control to cope with their feelings. 🌼They hit without thinking about the consequences or other ways to get their needs met.  Bad or undesirable behaviours in children are not often intentional. ❤️Keep in mind that as a parent, you are building healthy, positive, and respectful habits toward the self and others. ⭐️These lessons require a ton of practice and repetition, which is exhausting as a parent. 2/30 How to help your child to grow their Emotional Intelligence - Parenting 101

2/30 How to help your child to grow their Emotional Intelligence - Parenting 101

When children are more socially and emotionally aware and skilled, they can more effectively navigate relationships, calm down and problem solve when challenges arise. But unlike many adults, it can be difficult for children to recognize and understand emotions in themselves and others without adult support.  Children have times when they can feel overwhelmed or out of control but, because of their age, they’ve had less time and opportunity to learn about managing their feelings. When adults respond to children’s cues and help them manage feelings of uncertainty, helplessness, or being overwhelmed, kids feel safe and trust that they have someone to help when they need it.  Gradually children learn to manage their emotions for themselves from their experiences with warm, responsive and trusted adults. When children feel calm and safe, they’re more likely to be able to focus and maintain their attention, which is central to their overall development.  #emotionalregulation #emotionalintelligence #learnngrowindia #learnngrow #nehhasoni #psychology #pschosomatic #intelligence #30daychallenge #30dayreelschallenge #reelsindia #motherhood #emotionalwellbeing #raiseemotionallyhealthychildren
