Triggered by a phone call I had with my high school friend, I got reminded that you never know what life is gonna hit you with. Do what you can to pursue what and who you love.

I wasn’t feeling good the night before my day job so I took a sick day. But I used that as an opportunity to prototype the situation where I am working full time on my project. I got lots proven to me and I made some headway with researching social media advertising.

I decided to receive my brother’s perspective to help me alleviate an overwhelming phase. There is a lot to do and very little time and resources available. This is a classic scenario of the emotional rollercoaster you ride in when you attempt to turn a “night project” into a business. Simply put; you’ve got to be willing to deal with the stress, ambiguity, lack of clear feedback, and still make progressive decisions. My way of dealing with overwhelming situations is to surround myself with people I love and enjoy hanging out with as you see with this recording.

I reflect on some things I have been experiencing and going through with my day to day life and side project and how that has enlighten me to think about my purpose. Something so little as telling your friend why you don’t buy nice things for yourself can mean something when you dig a little deeper.

The three things I was waiting (patent timing, photo shoot, and picking a product brand name) turned up out of no where. It’s humbling how that changed my mood, body language, and attitude for the better.

Just because you have options to make things work faster, it doesn’t mean you should take them. Sometimes you have to let things take their course and be patient until you are able to outsource and parallel work.

Low on material, long lead times, and planned photo shoot were all dependent on cutting a piece of foam straight!
