Todd Agnew, spaniels, grouse camp for handlers, and a little flushing dog training theory.
Todd Agnew and Craney Hill Kennel are a big presence in the Spaniel world. I'm glad to have him on the podcast talking about the handlers and experiences beyond the usual training topics. This conversation would be a great fit in camp lounging around the dinner table.

The SASSS Classic.
A bit of fun from the Society of the American Side by Side Shotgun Spring Classic. This is the second year that I've issued the Axis Challenge to raise money for habitat. It's a 5 dollar gentleman's bet based on a number of scores throughout the days shooting. I was easily beaten by every taker of my challenge. I picked up the microphones after that and made my way around the clubhouse and campfire securing a number of street interviews with some of the participants.
Darryl James, Game cooking tips and storytelling.
Darryl and I could talk for far longer than we did. This is a long episode and covers a lot of ground.

An unusual solo start to this episode and a guest joining me later on.
I start by addressing the reason why we don't hunt covers at the same time and Nate reflects on some of the benefits of camp.
Landon Foster, A growing grouse hunter and the camp experiences.
I found Landon on social media in a group called Michigan Grouse Camps. Having only hunted birds for 5 years, he offered a different perspective from the long years many more hunters have.

Travis and I could easily talk the night away about hunting. He seems to be a man that embraces all the right things about hunting's finer things.
Jonathon Moore, chasing elusive Michigan roosters.
We finally were able to get this recording done to wrap up Season 3 for the podcast. There is a lot of detail to consider in this conversation. As well as how to best promote the flourishing of wild pheasants in a place trying to rebound its wild birds.

DAVID WEAVER, Upland cooking for the hunter.
Dave is a good friend I met through social media. He's one of my human resources I use when I'm in doubt on a recipe or cooking idea. While this conversation may be a stretching step for some hunters, we really did keep it simple compared to what it could have been.
