Episode 11: Daniel Wilsher- Suicide, Self-Awareness and Success
In this episode, I am fortunate enough to have such an open, honest and vulnerable conversation with founder of Damaged Goods Co, Daniel Wilsher.
At the tender age of 9 years old, Daniel tragically lost his father to suicide, a trauma which was to shape the world around him and eventually lead him to create an organisation formed to raise awareness around mental health and the effects of childhood trauma within educational and corporate settings.
Daniel's journey is not only inspirational but also educational, in unearthing the failings within systems to identify a seemingly 'fine' child, who was desperately struggling and crying out for help. In this episode, we discuss everything from suicide to success, mental health to materialism and the ability to create great achievements and happiness from great pain.
Despite the heavy nature of this topic, Daniel speaks with a confidence and optimism which is truly infectious, and I know each and every listener will take away something incredible from this episode!

Episode 2: Sarah D Rees - Depression In High Performers and Seasonal Affective Disorder
Winter...
Dark mornings, shortened daylight hours and the need for a minimum of 4 layers before leaving the house!
We can all experience a lower mood, lack of drive or dip in energy during this period, but for some, Seasonal Affective Disorder can take a-hold and make the Winter period a very difficult time.
In this episode, I'm joined by Sarah D Rees, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with over 20 years of experience working within mental health and well-being. Sarah regularly works with High Performance clients, a group of people who I feel are often over-looked when we discuss depression (cue the phrase: 'Have you ever seen someone cry in a Lamborghini...') and I wanted to tap into her knowledge to discuss the risks of depression within High Performers as well as Seasonal Affective Disorder and what we can do to support ourselves.
