Authenticity, Relationships, and Learning, from a Social Worker's Perspective
Hello MU folks, we sat down with Dr. Lia Richards-Palmiter ("Lia"), Director of the Office of Diversity Efforts here at Marywood University. Lia describes lesson learned throughout her social work career and gives insight into the hope social workers personify. Not to mention, Lia highlights the value of expanding our multiculturalism and how to lean in sincerely to social justice activism. We discussed how to embrace authenticity, relationships, and lifelong learning and how to, "be well," both professionally and personally. Tune in as we debunk the, "myths of social work," and learn about health and wellness from...a social worker's perspective.
