Abi and Jocelyn are back for Part 3 of their discussions about co-living! In this episode they discuss the importance of conflict resolution, communication, and emotional support in co-living situations to build emotional resilience, trust and a sense of belonging at home. They also explored strategies for expressing needs within a group, the value of retrospectives and group activities, and ended our chat by sharing out vision of promoting conflict resolution skills to enhance group dynamics.

Jocelyn and Abi are back again for more reflections on their experiences with co-living! In this episode the focus is on clarifying the purpose of your co-living group, and how to go about finding or building a group that is in alignment with that vision. They give some great examples of different co-living experiments they've visited and been part of, and end with a reflection on what happens when expectations are not met, or clash with each other. Tune in for Part 3 which will be all about navigating conflict and how to 'end well' when someone wants to leave the group.

The October 2024 Microsolidarity network call was all about unpacking the September Summer Camp experience. Participants shared stories of turning awkward moments into opportunities for connection, discussed the concept of "slack capacity," and explored how to handle unexpected challenges with a positive attitude. The group dug into the nitty-gritty of creating spaces where people naturally connect and how campers navigated conflicts constructively.

Karl Steyaert is an IFS Practitioner, NVC Trainer, Therapist,  Transformational Facilitator, and general change agent. Together with  Jocelyn Ames, Catherin Tran, and Nadine Helm, he hosted three  back-to-back month-long “Embodying Collective Transformation  Residencies” at the Life Itself Hub in Bergerac France, in the fall of  2022.    In this conversation, we explore some of the lessons learned from  running this massive community experiment. It feels like we only  scratched the surface.
